The Biker's Touch - Book 2 (An Alpha Motorcycle Club Romance) (Ghosts of the Prairie Motorcycle Club) (9 page)

“Now why would you work for Brill Wayland? You know he doesn’t have a penny. I am the one who holds the purse strings.” she asked.

She made the biker think. That bought her some time. There was no way to signal Trenton or any of the guys that she was in trouble.

She continued, “I am afraid if he’s told you anything, he’s bullshitted you. We got a bar full of people in there who have been done the same way. Now what can I do for you?”

“He promised me five hundred if I brought you to him,” he said.

“Buddy, I’ll pay you five thousand if you tell me where my children are. And I’ll make you my personal bodyguard. Salary and your own corporate card,” she said.

“How do I know you’re not bullshitting me?” he asked.

“Did you just lose your job?” she asked. She had just laid off a bunch of men that Brill had hired.

“Yes,” he said.

“Well, I am the broad who did that.”

She reached into her purse and pulled out a heavy black credit card. She handed it to him.

“That has no limit. If my ex-husband can do that, I guess I stand corrected,” she said.

He hesitated. He didn’t quite trust her.

“Take it,” she said casually. “I have another one. This will prove to you I am good on my word. Give me your hand.”

The biker was entranced. He did as he was told. She wrote a PIN on his hand.

“There,” she said. “Go get yourself as much cash as you want. Tell me where my kids are.”

The biker tucked the card in his vest pocket. “How do I know you won’t call the cops?”

“For the card?” she asked. “I gave you the card and the PIN. Looks like I don’t have a leg to stand on. I will back you up. Want me to send you a text? I will do that. I just want my children.”

“Sure,” he said sarcastically, “whatever you say. Give me your phone number. I’ll text you the location.”

Jennifer was distracted. Trenton, Danny, and Foley had created a human wall just beyond the biker, who looked at the reflection in the bar window and saw them.

“Sure,” the biker repeated, but in a humble tone. “They’re in a house in Devils Lake. He’s got some young woman taking care of them. She doesn’t have much patience for them, but that’s where they are.”

Jennifer looked to Trenton for strength.

“Is the fighting over?” she asked, very glad to see him.

“Were you here trying to shake this woman down?” Trenton demanded.

“No, I was sent here to pick her up. I’ve been tailing you all since New City. She offered me a better deal. And I wasn’t going to be straight with her until you all showed up,” he said.

The biker returned Jennifer’s credit card to her. He eyeballed the crowd of Ghosts who were encircling him.

“Where’s your bike?” demanded Danny. His tone was harder than usual.

“Oh man, not my bike,” he muttered.

“Now I want you to switch out with one of my guys. They’re going in as you. You better not be telling a lie about any of this because it will be your last,” said Danny.

“I’ll go,” said Foley.

“Good man,” said Danny. “You two swap out T-shirts and vests,” said Danny, who then braced the biker with his powerful hand. “You don’t put on his vest. He puts on yours. You are not wearing my club’s vest.”

Right out in front of the bar, the men exchanged shirts. Foley took his bike.

“Where’s your bike?” asked the biker.

“You aren’t taking his bike,” smiled Danny.

“What am I supposed to do?” demanded the biker.

“You’re a Rigger, right? You got other Riggers in there, right? See what they can do for you. I don’t know about your crew but we stick together. We back each other’s play,” said Danny.

“Great, but I ain’t no Ghost. Man, I just put myself on the line for this woman. You may not like what I did in the first place but I made it right and I need some slack,” he said.

“I’d have your bitch with one of my guys but I don’t trust you. Once I find out you’re good to your word in this case, I’ll cover you, but not until then. You can go into the bar and we’ll see no harm will come to you until we have the kids.”

The biker turned to Jennifer. “So no on the bodyguard job?” he asked.

“No,” scoffed Trenton. “She’s not hiring you.”

Trenton took her hand and led her aside.

“Let’s follow Foley up to Devils Lake. I am alerting the D.A. and Sheriff Weston. Let’s follow Foley over to your place and once he is in, we’ll go get the children.”

Jennifer said, “You have something on your face.”

Trenton reflexively wiped. “What?”

“Come here,” she said.

He stooped down. Jennifer planted a slow, sensual kiss on him.

“I’m not going to lecture you on why you shouldn’t have handled that dude by yourself. But you did a good job. And I am happy it worked out,” he said softly.

“Why do I detect something different in your voice?” she asked with a smile.

“Oh, there is something different,” he said. “If I had my way you would be over my knee.”

Jennifer and Trenton piled into her Cadillac and Foley and a handful of Ghosts of the Prairie headed out to the Wayland vacation home a few miles outside the town of Devils Lake. Danny White Feather stayed behind with the rest of his guys and kept a watch on the biker who turned on Brill Wayland.

Sheriff Billy Weston was actually stationed near the Wayland home with another sheriff. They were in plain clothes. Weston approved Foley going in as a decoy to gain entry into the home. He wore a radio so that they could hear everything.

Jennifer’s house on Devils Lake was built at the water’s edge. It sat on a bank that overlooked a cove. The elevation overlooking the water was practically nothing but windows so every room facing that way had a view.

To the side of the house was a swimming pool, even though the water that the house overlooked was fine to swim in. From the lawn into the water, there was a dock. To the side of that was a small boathouse, and a guest house.

Foley’s borrowed bike buzzed down the path to the house. He was so smooth as he knocked on the door and talked to the woman Brill Wayland hired to watch the kids. She was hesitant but Foley charmed her. He got right in the house.

“Heya, is the man here?” he asked the woman.

“No, I thought you were supposed to meet him at the place,” she said. She was obviously stressed out.

“No,” Foley said coolly. “He has the missus. I guess I am ahead of schedule.”

A tackling sound could be heard.

“Keep cool. All clear. Move,” said Foley.

Those were the words Jennifer waited to hear. She and Trenton rushed the home. The kids were out back by the pool. They ran towards her. Jennifer wrapped her arms around all three of them as the crowded into her.

“Would you like to come home with mommy?” she asked.

“I don’t know, mommy,” murmured Trenton. “This is a pretty cool pad. It will be another three hours till we go home. What do you think? I could have the guys bust out the house. Do a major cleaning and it would feel like your friendly neighborhood hotel.” He levered his eyebrows suggestively.

“Done,” said Jennifer, filled with joy. “Tell everyone to come. We’re getting our party on. Is that okay with you?” she asked her children. They nodded.

Foley emerged from the house. “There’s really no food in the house. I’m nabbing the car and a couple of us are going food shopping.”

Jennifer turned to the children. “When is the last time you ate?” she asked, suddenly aware that her children had been neglected.

Jennifer’s kids were between eight and eleven. The oldest one started to cry. Jennifer was lit with rage. She ran into the house to the nanny, who was being questioned by the police. Trenton was after her, trying to keep her from killing the woman.

She was ranting and blithering when Trenton contained her. He nuzzled her neck.

“Hey,” he said softly. “The kids don’t need to see that. We can have Billy talk to them to see if anything weird went on and he can handle it. Okay?”

Jennifer buried her face in his warm, hard chest and sobbed really hard for about five minutes before she straightened up.

“Okay,” she said. “I’m good. Let’s have a party.”

Chapter Nine

Jennifer’s house at Devils Lake touched the edge of the lake. The lawn flowed down beyond the pool. A narrow dock extended from the lawn into the water. The children were relieved to see Jennifer and after they ate a big meal, they went to bed. They felt safe enough to fall asleep. Their father was arrested away from the house so that they were spared.

The Ghosts of the Prairie carted in groceries, ribs, burgers and fish. Cases of beer and already made salads. It was a subdued gathering but one nonetheless. Danny White Feather and his girlfriend Penny were lazy, sipping on bottles of beer and looking very content with the results of their efforts. Brill Wayland was in jail where he belonged and the kids were okay.

Once everyone was settled and taken care of, Jennifer took Trenton’s hand.

“Want to take a walk?” she asked softly.

“Yes, baby,” he said as softly.

She took his hand and they strolled the path that wandered down to the water’s edge. They walked down to the end of the dock and admired the water. The smells of the barbecue found them all the way to the dock. Life had almost become perfect again. Trenton never let go of her hand.

Jennifer was so aware of his energy. His body was slightly behind hers. Their chemistry, now that things were calm and quiet, permeated her. It stirred her right to the core. She leaned against him. Soon she was rubbing up against him. She looked up to him and he looked down. They both were thinking the same thing. Trenton leaned down and pressed his lips to hers. He parted her mouth with his sweet hot tongue and stroked her mouth. His tongue touched the ticklish insides of her cheek, her core clenched up tight. She moaned and she was pretty sure the sound of it carried out across the lake. Trenton took her hand and put it to his erection.

“That’s what I want,” she whispered.

“How about we check out the guest cottage,” he said.

Without waiting for an answer he lifted her and guided her to the small house that also looked over the water. It was locked.

“Wait,” she said. “There’s a hide-a-key.”

He set her down. Jennifer lifted a fake rock and picked up the key. With his hands on her, they opened the door. They went to each of the lakeside windows and drew up the blinds. The air was so cool as they cracked the windows, the cottage was freshened in no time.

The main bedroom had a set of french doors that opened up onto a deck overlooking the lake. It had privacy away from the home. On the deck were big generous chaises lit by the moon. Jennifer forgot how beautiful it all was.

“My,” remarked Trenton.

Jennifer stepped up onto a chaise and wrapped her arms around his neck. She kissed him wickedly slow. She worked her lips down to just below his earlobe and tortured him there. He moaned. She had found a weak spot, and she liked that.

She unfastened the waist of his pants, freeing his amazing hard length. She stepped down off of the chaise. She guided him to sit down on the chaise. She took a pillow off of it and put it below her knees.

Jennifer lowered her mouth, worked with moisture and drawn tight, down over his shaft. She took him in her mouth as deeply as she could go. Slowly. Ending at the base of her throat before coming up. Then she allowed the head of his cock to batter gently against the giving flesh of her cheeks.

Trenton growled. His fingers were threaded through her hair against her scalp. She drew up and down on his shaft, occasionally lifting her eyes to him. She made her eyes as sexy and alluring as she could.

With her fingers, she gripped the base of his cock and glided them up and down in counter rhythm to her mouth. Her grip slid over the spit-slick surface of his skin. She trailed his shaft with kisses and little flicks of her tongue all the way down to the base. She tongued his testicles lightly.

Trenton’s breath raked through his teeth so sharply he almost whistled.

“Oh, baby,” he prayed.

He tapped her shoulder. Jennifer climbed on the chaise next to him. She spread her legs, offering herself to him. She writhed on the surface of the chaise, her partially clothed body covered in moonlight.

Trenton rose above her in between her knees. She nudged up her hips hungrily, impatient to feel him inside of her. She was pretty sure he was evading her, teasing her. She swirled her hips around chasing him.

“Please,” she whispered.

“Do you want some?” he asked. His voice was heavy with arousal.

“Yes please,” she said.

He filled her in a single move. A powerful erotic surge swept through her. Her skin burned it tingled so fiercely. She gasped. They were both stunned by their union; paused with the wonder of it. But soon they moved with the fierceness of it.

He cupped her buttocks and pushed her onto him. He drove into her as deeply as he could go. He struck her gently at the tip of woman. Each movement sent powerful bursts of heat that caused her to draw up, clench around him. Each clench was a telltale sign of amazing pleasure.
