Kitana blushed, smiling brightly at the thought of what she'd experienced.

“i'd better get back to my husband before brunch so we can talk. Hopefully Mistress has released him this morning,” she stated, quietly slipping out of the room.

“I think Kitana's still tingling from what You did to her last night.”
My wife's grin and pleasant demeanor let me know that she'd enjoyed herself watching me.

“Yes, my Lord, it brought back memories of our first times with You,” nuru mentioned.

“shamise and i were talking about that before we went to sleep.”

shamise added, “i really like this one, Daddy. It's like she fit right in with us last night. Is she going to be a part of our House?”

“I believe so, baby. she asked to be included last night, but I want to make sure after breakfast if she understands what that means,” I told her. While I was curious about what was really happening at that point, if I'd learned anything, it's that this lifestyle brought a lot of surprises. All you could do was be prepared for every one of them.

Unfortunately, that mantra would be put to the test once we stepped out of our bedroom to join the remaining attendees for brunch.

RAMESSES

Tension was never a good thing to have late in the morning.

The atmosphere in the grand dining room greeted us with the force and unrelenting chill of a snowstorm. I was hoping it was all a figment of my imagination, but I relied on my ability to sense the vibe and energy amongst a group of people. The way I felt at that exact moment, we should have packed up the cars and made a break for the house.

Almost as soon as we entered, the tension in the air gave me pause. I tried hard to grasp the source of the tension, as none of the slave girls were willing to acknowledge it as they went about their morning routines. I searched the room for any traces of the bliss I'd enjoyed the previous night, but there was none to be found. I finally spotted tiger, a very disturbing expression on his face. His body language tripped Neferterri's senses. Mistress Sinsual was somewhere irritated, to say the least.

“I'm going to find Sin. This can't be good.” Neferterri walked out of the room hastily. Not that I blamed her. I wanted to have something better to do, too.

After the girls got settled into their seats, I looked over at Amenhotep, who was His usual casual self. He had to feel the vibe released into the room. I looked at a few of the other Dominas who'd stayed overnight with their submissives, and from their body
language, I could tell that they were doing their best to ignore and get through it. I couldn't quite place what was going on, but I had a feeling that someone had really messed up.

As the other slave girls began serving breakfast, I continued my search, finally locating Ice and Kitana engaged in a very intense conversation. Kitana was visibly irate about something, and judging from the look on her face, something didn't feel right. She would be coming by the house later on, so I figured we would get the details then.

Neferterri and Mistress Sinsual finally re-entered the room. Sin shot a very frosty look at Ice before she took her place with tiger at the table. Neferterri didn't look happy either upon returning to the girls and me. Rather than push the issue, I concluded one very easy point: Ice really had fucked up, and he was really going to be severely punished for it. Sin's sadistic side was nothing to fool around with. That probably explained why the tension was so thick. Sin rarely ever showed public displeasure, period. It wasn't her style.

Amenhotep stood up with safi and paka at His sides, and He raised the glass of Mimosa in His hand to propose a few words.

Everyone looked in my direction, thinking maybe Amenhotep was pointing His glass at me to say a few words of my own before He began. Instead, I rose to my feet, pointing my glass toward Him, to join Him in whatever He was about to say. The rest of the crowd followed my lead, grabbing their glasses as well, waiting for Amenhotep to speak.

“I want to thank you all for bearing witness to the collaring of the newest addition to My House, safi. I believe she will be as valuable as all My girls are, especially My paka.” Amenhotep looked at paka with an appreciation rarely seen publicly. I also saw some
thing else in His eyes as He looked at paka, something I really needed to be clear about before asking Him, but now was not the time.

“I would hope you are all available for the Halloween party in a little over a month or so. It will be a masquerade party, of course, and the naughtier the better. Please be safe on your way home.”

My cell phone went off as soon as the speech was over. When I checked the text message, it was enough to make me grit my teeth in irritation.

“Okay, what happened now?” Neferterri asked.

I showed her the text, which was from Jay:

Jasmine's flipped out again, dawg. Need a spot to crash. I will explain later.

“What did he do now?” she asked. I think she wondered if Jay was asking for it half the time.

“I don't know, baby, but I'm sure he's got an excuse for this one, too.”

God it was good to be home.

After picking up the kids and finally getting through the door, Neferterri and I had really planned on relaxing and maybe watch a little football. We weren't expecting Kitana for a few hours since she and her husband were at the Falcons game. But unfortunately that wasn't to be the case because Jay rang the doorbell before we could get settled in.

“He's not staying here this time, baby.” She was adamant about the issue and for the first time in a while, I was in agreement with her.

Lately, it was the same thing every few months:

Have a party.

Jasmine gets drunk.

Jay does his thing during the party, which pisses Jasmine off because she's not having fun.

Jay gets put out of the house for her insecurities, regardless of what he does.

Jay needs a place to crash for the night, and the last couple of times, it's been our house.

Well, the lady of the house had spoken, and the four words for the day were:
listen to your woman.

“Okay, Jay, what happened this time?”

“Mercedes, it's not what you think,” Jay protested. “She's bugging out, accusing me of cheating on her and shit. I don't know what she's on, but you know me.”

Neferterri softened her stance a little bit. Jay could be a lot of things, but a cheating husband was not one of them, and even she knew it. He loved the hell out of Jasmine, but it's a little deeper now, and I think it had everything to do with the little sexy secretary who worked in his division at his job.

I didn't want her to jump to conclusions if I mentioned the secretary right then, so I went in a different direction. “Maybe you both need to take a break from the scene for a while, until things calm down between you.”

I hoped to get him to understand where I was going with that last statement. I mean, sometimes the lifestyle can cause more problems than it can solve, especially if the foundation of the relationship wasn't strong to begin with. Hell, we've stepped away a couple of times to take an extended break, the last time being the birth of our youngest daughter four years ago.

“You might be right, dawg, but it's hard to get away sometimes, especially when a brotha is missed.” Jay let his ego come into play, and I felt for him. This lifestyle can be addictive, and we're all addicted at one point in time, but in life, you have decisions that have to be made. I just hoped he had enough sense to make enough good ones. Life could be long if you didn't.

“Look, Jay, please go home and talk to her. Jasmine loves you, but you have things that need to be worked out.” Neferterri dropped a big hint on Jay, letting him know there was no vacancy this time around.

Surprisingly, he took the hint. “Yeah, maybe she'll listen this time,” Jay replied. “Look, I'm sorry if I ruined your evening, but there is only so much a brotha can take.”

Kitana was at the house a couple of hours later.

She looked even more beautiful than she did last night, her Falcons jersey and blue jeans hugging her in all the right places. She stood like she wasn't sure how to approach me. She chewed on her bottom lip again, which I increasingly found sexier each time I saw it.

“Good afternoon, Ka…Sir…okay, now I'm confused as to how to address you now.”

Kitana came through the door with a bit of her own confusion showing on her pretty face. “I know I have a lot to learn, but I'm serious about this.”

After everything that had transpired at the Palace this weekend, it really gave me a new sense of confusion and excitement all at the same time. On the one hand, I couldn't have asked for a better acquisition. Kitana was a blank canvas for the most part, a lifestyle Dominant's dream, especially one as jaded as I felt I had become. She would absorb every lesson that Neferterri and I would teach her, and there was no residual “baggage” from a previous Dominant to re-program a submissive from.

On the other hand, I was concerned I was stretching myself too thin, and that was the other side of the equation. We already had three submissives; to add a fourth would really be a bit greedy on
my part, but at the moment I really didn't care. Our girls were devoted to us, and they understood before they submitted, this was a Poly family endeavor, not a one-on-one situation. I've never made any apologies for being who I was, and I'd be damned if I was going to start now.

“First, Kitana, we're not in a D/s environment, so no need to think you're supposed to act accordingly,” I answered, giving her a warm hug. “Second, I'm still the same friend you have always known. You're just getting the rare opportunity to see another side of both me and Mercedes now.”

“Thanks, Kane, I really needed that.” Kitana melted into the hug a little more than I was prepared for. Something was up.

I won't lie, she felt good to the touch…really good.

“Okay, Kitana, what's going on with you? I mean, usually just seeing me lights up your face.” I tried to be light to keep her spirits up, especially after dealing with Jay's crazy ass.

“That's why I love you, Kane, I wouldn't let anyone else dictate my moods the way you do,” she replied, her eyes starting to sparkle a little bit as she looked up at me. “To answer your question, last night was one of the most…intense…
damn
…erotic nights I've ever had in my life. I think that's what's bothering me so much. It shook me to my core…scared the hell out of me. But now, I feel so…blah.”

I guess I expected this to hit a little later in the week, and I was prepared for it to happen then, not now.

Sub drop. She showed the signs, even without communicating them to me.

The euphoria of the weekend really got her so high that she was literally floating, dare I say she was flying. Then, to have to deal with the realities of what she had experienced, and after witnessing
the drama that ensued between her and Ice, I guess I should have known the crash was going to be rather destructive.
