Tank's Redemption: Red Devils M.C. (Red Devils MC Book 4) (6 page)

“So, like I was trying to explain before that geezer interrupted.” Duck snorted, but a glare from Bone silenced him, he sat back with a huff. “She was acting a bit odd and I’m not sure how accurate the information is, but she told me that the Jackal’s were planning to raid a weapons convoy sent out by someone I’d never heard of. His name is Looney Louie. Anyone heard of him?” He looked around the room seeing heads shaking and furrowed brows. It was disturbing for them to know that a weapons dealer was running guns through their territory without their knowledge.

“We’ve been wondering where they keep getting all the hardware. Now we have a name. We need to find out if th
is man is supplying them with guns, or if the Jackal’s are just stealing them from him, like they are planning to do with this shipment.” Tank finished, seeing nods of agreement around the table.

“Humm…we need to figure out if this is a single person or a group
, too. We also need to be sure that whoever this is doesn’t supply the Jackal’s with any more hardware. I for one don’t want the Jackal’s having access to that kind of weaponry. We’ve already been hit with bombs twice. We don’t want them shooting us with missile launches next time.” Bone thundered, standing up to pace beside the table. “We were damned lucky that they weren’t expecting us the last few times we raided them. Those raids could have went very differently if they had used the weapons they’ve been collecting.” Bone’s face was grim, and every man in the room knew that this war was about to get serious.

Shit
was about to hit the fan in a big way. If the Jackal’s decided to start attacking with the hardware they’d been finding they weren’t going to be able to keep their family safe. That was something none of them was too happy about. That meant that they needed to nip this shit in the bud, quickly.

“We need to start working our contacts. We need to see if we can find out who this Louie person is
. We can’t allow the Jackal’s to gather anymore of this kind of hardware. We need to get to this Louie and impress upon him the understanding that the Red Devils are not going to allow him to keep selling these guns to them if he is doing so. We need to show him the error of his ways. And if he’d not selling these weapons to him we can help him clean up his house. Them knowing about the drop means he’s got a leak.” Tank grumbled.

“Damn, I really wish that we could just use one of those rocket launchers in your basement to take out those asswipes.” Tiny complained, receiving nods of agreement from several of the other men crowded around the table.

“Yep, it’s too damned bad that they tend to surround themselves with a bunch of innocent people.” Log piped in.

“Yeah
, that sucks.” Tiny muttered. “I’ll have to put the word out we’re looking for information on this Louie guy. Damn, I hate leaving Racheal.” He frowned.

“Good, now we need to talk about the Headhunters. They need to be watched too. With them joining the Jackal’s we need to keep our eyes out for trouble from that sector.
They seem to be gathering in a town near Titus. I want more men sent to keep our numbers in that area high. I don’t want any surprises. They could attack and before we could get the man power there they could take over. We need to be prepared if they attack.” Bone told them.

“What about the farm?” Trick asked.

“I don’t know what the hell’s going on there either. It’s strange, even with the equipment being old there shouldn’t be so many break downs. Tick’s working on it, but I’m sending him some extra men as well.” Bone replied. Earning nods and grunts of agreement. Why did those Jackal’s always have to cause problems? The whole club was on edge because of it, and it was pissing them all off.

When were they going to realize that the Devils weren’t going to allow them to take over even a tiny part of their territory?

Tank watched the other men file out of the room twenty minutes later. Bone had asked him to stay for a moment. From the gleam of amusement in the other man’s eyes he was sure he knew what it was about, but he stayed put on the off chance it was important. When the last man, Tiny, left he shut the door behind him. Bone smiled and the first words he said made Tank pissed that he had stayed.

“So, heard you took a stray home.” He teased.

“She’s not a damned pet, asshole.” Tank growled, angrily. He wasn’t surprised that the man already knew about Annie. He knew how the rumor mill was with this family. Hell, half the time he was one of the ones moving that gossip along, but it was a pain in the ass when it involved him. His and Annie’s…whatever it was they had wasn’t something he wanted bouncing around in the rumor mill.

Well, no, she’s not. We both know what it means when a man gives a women his real name, and then takes her home in this club.” Bone laughed, wiggling his eye brows suggestively.

“Shut up! I do
n’t know why I gave her my name. She didn’t like the name Tank, and it just popped out.” Tank roared.

“Uh-hum…I see. That happens all the time…wait
, no it doesn’t” Bone chuckled, falling into his chair he was laughing so hard.

“Dickhead, if that’s all you’re going to talk about I’m leaving.” He stood, storming out the door hearing Bone’s loud laughter and his last cutting remark follow him.

“Yep, better get home, your property’s waiting!” Tank threw a bird over his shoulder at the other man as he stormed out, heading home to Annie.

Chapter 6

Tank entered his house, surprised and not a little embarrassed to find the living room clean.
He shouldn’t have left it for so long. If Aunt Mae had seen his place a few hours ago she would have skinned him alive. Heading upstairs to Annie’s room, with an apology ready. Prepared to offer to cook her dinner, he was surprised that she wasn’t in his guest room. He began searching for her, she couldn’t have left the house. Fuck, unless she called Katie. Damn, he thought, standing in the kitchen. He happened to look over at the basement door and saw it was ajar, oh fuck. Hopefully she hadn’t gone down there. If she had then she most likely called Katie to come get her away from the crazy gun fanatic.

He headed down the stairs. Finding Annie standing in the middle of his collection, holding a rocket launcher, correctly. Huh… that was surprising, most people held that wrong. He fell just a little bit in love with her in that moment. She must be the one for him, and that was what the universe was telling him. Staring at her holding the gun made his guts clench in desire. Fuck, she was sexy as fuck holding that launcher.

He must have made a sound because she whirled around to look at him. Holding the launcher pointed at him for a moment before she dropped her guard. Yep, she was sexy as fuck. He thought, feeling his dick throb with the need to grab her and thrust her against the nearest wall to fuck her blind. Shaking his head in order to clear that hot visual, he walked a few steps forward.

“Where did you get these?” Annie demanded, they were her mother’s guns and she needed to know how they were getting them. Shit, she really hoped that the Devil’s weren’t the ones who’d raided her mother’s warehouse six months ago. Her mother had nearly shot the top of her head off over that one. She could remember her ranting for hours on end.

“Most are from raids, some I bought. Why?” Tank replied, looking at her in confusion.

“Huh…raids on who?” She demanded, cringing a bit on the inside when he stared at her
suspiciously. Damn, maybe she should have asked that more casually.

“Jackal’s,
and I am not telling you anymore. It’s club business, so don’t ask.” Tank told her, with a frown marring his brow.

“What’s the big deal? It’s just a question.” Annie
asked, looking adorably confounded.

Tank grumbled under his breath be
fore he replied, “Club business isn’t for women or outsiders.”

“That’s sexist! Why can’t women know about whatever they want
to?” Annie grumbled.

“Because women need to be protected. Now, let me have that and I will put it away.
” Tank reached out, taking the launcher from her suddenly loose grip, she watched him put it away with her mouth hanging open in surprise. Had the man really just said that to her? He could not have just said that totally idiotic thing could he? She was not the little woman who shouldn’t worry her pretty little head about anything. She was not a porcelain doll who needed her big strong man to take care of her.

“I can’t believe that you just said that.” She growled, staring at him with fire in her eyes.

“Believe it. Now, let’s head upstairs. What were you doing down here anyway?” Tank asked, walking towards her where she stood watching him in disbelief.

“What… I was…you can’t really say
something like that to a woman. You do know that, right? Women are quite capable of taking care of themselves. I don’t need a man to take care of me.” Annie stuttered out, after she finally got her thoughts settled.

“That’s debatable. Come on let’s go upstairs
, and you can tell me what you were doing down here while I make dinner.” He said, taking her arm to guide her up the stairs. Annie was so angry at his audacity that she allowed him to guide her. When they were in the kitchen again she jerked her arm free from his grasp, and turned to glare at him.

“I will not be treated like a child who doesn’t know how to behave. You will underst…uff” Annie was cut off from her tirade when Tank pulled her to him and set his mouth crashing onto hers. At first she resisted, but then his tongue teased her lips seeking entrance, and with a moan she allowed it. Her senses exploded with need, his tongue thrust past her lips, caressing her mouth with deep long strokes that made her want to rip their clothes off and fuck him on the kitchen floor.

Tank growled, trusting his tongue inside her mouth roughly. Damn, he wanted her naked, now. He slid his hands up to cup her breasts. She withered against him. Making him want to growl again. He kissed her deeper, already addicted to the taste of her sweet honeyed lips. She thrust her hands into his hair, pulling him to her wildly, making him clench his fingers around her breasts, squeezing them. Then he was trying to remove the shirt she was wearing. His hands were sliding under the silky top, as she moved her hands to the bottom of his.

Annie was on fire, she’d wanted Tank since the moment she’d watched him prowl towards her on the side of the road, and her anger wasn’t making her want him any less. Angry sex was always hot, she thought. And she was angry, he was a pig, a male chauvinistic pig. But a fucking hot one. She moaned as his figures made short work of her bra and his hands closed over her breasts. His fingers teasing her nipples, pinching them roughly. His mouth slid down her neck nipping and sucking as he raised her shirt.

Tank closed his mouth over her right nipple, his fingers working the other one roughly. Her cries as she held his head to her breast, making him groan. He lifted her moving her to the counter and setting her down. He continued to suck at her breast, his tongue circling her nipple, his teeth lightly teasing it. His hands moved to pull her to the edge of the counter. Her legs wrapped around him hips, and he settled against her.

Annie moaned in pleasure
, her body was on fire. He was so damned sexy, and fuck he was making her burn hotter than any other man had ever managed. He’d barely touched her, and she was ready to go up in flames from the lust he inspired. She clutched at his shoulders, as he sucked her breast into his wet mouth. He was making her mindless. When he’d lifted her to the counter she’d been surprised. Most men wouldn’t be able to lift her, she wasn’t huge, but she was no light weight. She’d always wanted a man who could carry her around with ease. It was sexy. She felt him pulling her to the edge of the counter and wrapped her legs around him, wanting him closer, and naked. Naked would be good.

Tank heard the annoyingly shrill ring of his phone. Damn it, he didn’t want to stop. He wanted to take off her pants, and fuck her on his counter. Only he knew he had to answer the damned
phone. It pissed him off. He pulled back slightly looking at her on his counter. She was leaning back slightly with her abundant breasts bare, and her eyes glazed with passion. Fuck. That was a damned sexy look. He stared for a moment before leaning down to take her nipple into his mouth for one last taste. He dug his phone from his pocket as he allowed her breast to slip free of his lips with an audible pop.

Lifting it to his ear, he demanded. “This better be fucking important.”

“Watch it.” Bone barked. “It’s the Jackal’s.”

Tank wanted to put his fist through the wall. Damn, those fucking Jackal’s were always ruining his day. The
stupid bastards.

“What the fuck did they do now?” He asked, stepping back from Annie, watching as she seemed to shake herself before sliding off the counter, picking up her shirt to put it back on.
That made him want to hunt down the Jackal’s and murder them all. He didn’t want Annie’s breast covered by anything other than his mouth, his hands and maybe his cock. Bone spoke bringing his attention back to the phone.

“They grabbed a woman in Longville. I need you to see if you can track them. Tick can’t cause he has to watch the damned farm, and your our only other tracker. These bastards are really starting to piss me off with this dumb shit. I’m about ready to make it open season on their stupid asses.” Bone’s voice held an edge Tank hadn’t heard since they’
d kidnapped Molly. He could understand the man’s anger. He was really pissed off himself, if they hadn’t kidnapped someone, he’d be balls deep in Annie right now.
