“But how do you know it’s not something else causing you to think?”

She shrugged. “Exactly, you just know. I know this isn’t just lust and no one is pulling my strings. I just know you were the right choice.”  I kissed her nose and gathered her into my arms. “Now, may I properly mate with my bride? Or do I have another questionnaire to go through?”

One more question, “can I ever get out of this? Like if I’m not happy.”

It hurt me that she would ask that.

“Of course, you can leave anytime you want. It would kill me, but I would let you go. I don’t want you to ever be unhappy with me.”

She nodded, “Ok. I’m ready. What do I do? Bite your neck?” she asked.

“Relax,” I said, pushing her onto her back, “enjoy the ride.”

I bunched her shirt into my hands to pull it over her head. She was bare in front of me. Chest rising in anticipation and a soft blush coloring her. I stared at her, memorizing each detail in my mind. She giggled under my scrutiny.

“You are the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen.”

I grazed her nipples, hard and bright pink, ready to be tasted, so I did, dipping to bit them gently. She wriggled underneath me, impatient, but I would not be rushed. My fingers caressed what little pubic hair she had, black as the hair on her head. I pressed a kiss there, inhaling her scent. She smelled aroused and I wanted to taste it.

A groan caught in her throat when I swiped my tongue through her wetness. It was a quick lap, a teaser but I wanted more and pushed her knees apart. I mushed my face farther into her legs, not caring how much would get on my face. She smelled like lavender and tasted like water, refreshing and life sustaining. I needed more. I licked her some more, nibbling at her thighs, humming on her clit and slid one finger in. Her legs were shaking and she humped my face. I tongued her hard and soft in no order, rhyme or reason but she tensed and squeezed my head with her thighs. When she finally released, I sat up, pleased by the soft blush in her cheeks. It was time. I laid down beside her and let her straddle me.

“Ride me,” I growled, high strung from watching her become undone. “Take your time,” I breathed as she set a pace. Her pussy was tight and wet and gripping me like a viper. I was going to come so I sat up, putting her on her haunches and swiped my nail across my wrist. The move was deliberate, opening my vein. Her hips rode up and down, riding me like a bull and for a moment, I was distracted by the sight of me disappearing inside of her. In and out, her pink flower greedily sucking my dick and I wanted nothing more than to cum right then. My fangs were extended ready to bite the love of my life.

“Suck my blood, Candice,” I said offering her my wrist and leaning forward to bite her neck. I have never allowed anyone to drink from me. It was sacrilege. The higher a position held, the more people wanted you to drink from them. It was an honor. So this dizzying sensation was new and terrifying. I felt like I was flying or standing on the edge of a cliff and when I bit into Candice, I fell off it. I fell into Candice and shattered into a million pieces. I could see through her eyes and she could see through mine. I knew her fears, her wants and I knew I was irrevocably in love. So this was love.

She sat up, hair wild and smiling, “what’s your favorite color?” she asked.

“Emerald green, it’s a little darker than my eyes. Why?” I asked. What a strange question to ask after life altering sex and then it hit me. She smirked at my recognition. I could hear my own words in my head,
I want someone to call me on my shit. I want someone who knows what my favorite color is and can tell when I’m lying.
She giggled and how exactly will I know when you’re lying? I shrugged, too happy for words and pulled her into my embrace.

Promised to the Alpha

Chapter 1

“Hope is redundant” – Papadakis Evangelos

Loud music vibrated against Lorelei’s body as she sat near the speakers. On the stage the Silver Dusk Band played as they always did during the bi-annual gathering of the shifters.

Twenty-one at last,
she thought as she tossed back the tequila shooter, now it was time for her to shine as the omega of her pack. It’s been a while coming and since her sixteenth birthday when she first underwent her transformation into a werewolf, she had been waiting for his day.

“Hey girl,” Janice, her best friend and also a member of the pack slurred loudly as she bumped up against her, “I see the guitarist is staring at you non-stop. I think he has the hots for you.”

Her friend wagged her eyebrows at her and she glanced across the small crowd to catch a glimpse of this guitarist guy as inconspicuously as possible.
He was rather good looking
, she thought as she brought her drink to her lips and studied him from across the brim of the glass.

His hair was whipped up with breezy curls that framed his face and although he had some stubble, which in most cases would look like a three day hangover, it complimented his strong features. With that black hair, she was sure he had blue eyes, but she was too far away to distinguish the exact shade, or color for that matter. Like most of their kind, he was muscular but not bulky; his lean athletic physique was a complete turn on. Not to mention the way his fingers strummed over the strings of his guitar, it made her wonder how they would feel running over her body, exploring every curve and crevice.

She was so transfixed on him that she didn’t realize he was singing
Closer
by Nine inch Nails while staring straight at her. And once she caught him staring, her heart jumped into her throat and she turned away spilling her drink all over herself.
What the hell?
She thought as she scurried to the back of the bar to get out from under his intense gaze, with Janice following closely.

“See I told you he was watching you,” she teased.

“He’s just singing to everyone, don’t be stupid.”

“Oh no darling, he hasn’t been able to take his eyes off of you since you walked into the bar,” Janice said and handed her another drink.

“Oh please,” she glanced over to the stage again, and was relieved to see that he had his back turned on the crowd. “See I told you, he’s not staring at me.”

Janice rolled her eyes and slumped against the wall, “Whatever you say, I’ve been watching him for the past half an hour and he was definitely staring at you.”

“Whatever, I have more important things to do than worry about a hot musician.”

Lorelai shoved her way through the crowd and headed over to the other side of the bar, picking a corner table away from the stage. Around her people were coiling around each other like snakes in a pit. The full moon did strange things to their kind. Everyone was as horny as hell, groping at each other like there was no tomorrow. As she shoved past one of the wolves from another pack he tugged her firmly against him. She groaned and pushed him away, he reeked of moonshine.

“Fuck off buddy,” she warned and shoved against him, but he was relentless as he kept her in his grip, grinding against her as if she was a bitch in heat.

Before she could do a thing, the creep was plucked away from her and shoved up against the wall and to her surprise it was the guitarist.

“Mine!” he growled and hissed at the drunkard. “She’s off limits.”

Wait a minute, did he just claim me?
She thought shocked.

“Excuse me, I don’t need any man to come to my rescue,” she started and glared at him.

“I’m not any man,” he said and smirked.

What a fucking prick,
“Yes you are, and I sure as hell do not need you to save me.”

He gripped her by her arm and dragged her off to the side, “From what I saw, you needed help, does thank you not fit into your vocabulary?”

That was it, he was a complete dick
. She tugged herself free from him and shoved against his chest, and as she opened her mouth to lash out at him, the music stopped and someone tapped on the microphone.

“May I have your attention please?”

There was a slight feedback sounding over the sound system and everyone huddled together near the stage. Her father was finally going to make the announcement she’s been waiting for since her sixteenth birthday. To become the omega of the Shadow Fangs was her biggest dream, her only dream and being able to take up that status would put her ahead of everyone else in her pack.

“As you all know, it’s my daughter, Lorelai’s twenty-first birthday…” the crowd erupted as they clapped hands and whistled.

Her father gestured for her to join him and as she walked away she looked back over her shoulder and smirked at mister dickhead. Once she was the omega, he would think twice before being so overly confident and claiming that she was his. To her surprise he followed her to the front, and she almost growled with annoyance. She leapt onto the stage and came to stand beside her father. Her father raised his hand and the crowd quietened down.

“It’s not every day an Alpha gets to do this, but it’s a very proud moment, not only as the Alpha but as a father,” he started, and Lorelai stood proudly, smiling at everyone but the guitarist who stood right in front of her. An uneasy shiver crept up her spine as she could feel his eyes burning into her flesh.

“I have decided, that it’s time the Shadow Fangs and the Silver wolves merge, and the only way to do this…” her father paused and looked at her, then at the guitarist with the smug smile, ‘I have promised my daughter to Dominic Blythe, the Alpha of the Silver Fangs!”

Lorelai felt as if the earth had slowed down on its axis as she turned her head to look at her dad, and as the words fell from his mouth her entire mind went numb.

The crowd went crazy and Dominic stood ostentatiously smiling at her. To them it was a victory to her it was a sentence, a curse she had no choice but to bear for the rest of her life.

She turned to her father and glared at him, “How could you?” she whispered through gritted teeth, but instead of looking at her, he turned and headed off stage, leaving her standing alone on the stage, in the middle of a mental hail storm.

Chapter 2

“Anger, resentment and jealousy doesn't change the heart of others-- it only changes yours.” – Shannon L. Alder

Black Wolf – Kansas, a well-known ghost town riddled with activity only twice a year, when the werewolves from the north and south gathered at The Rustic Shed. It was a bar where the packs meet bi-annually to discuss the territorial boundaries of the packs. These were peace keeping talks as well as the general consensuses related to the unification between weaker packs with those who are stronger.

With their numbers on the decline and a lot of the werewolves breaking away from their original packs to seek out others, they had to stand together. Each pack however had their own laws, which they enforced in their group. Another concern that haunted every werewolf was the fact that the human race was slowly starting to become more and more aware of their species. Until a decade ago, they were nothing but mythical creatures, old wives tales and lore that came down generation after generation. In the early twentieth century, anthropologists and zoologists started delving into these myths, trying to eradicate the facts that stared them in the face. But with the odd fanatic insisting on their existence, and sightings across the northern parts of the world, the myth started to feed into science.

Although there was still a great dispute about the existence of immortal beings outside of the human species, there were more and more believers, who insisted on their existence. This led to the uprising of the Black Mark Hunters, who dedicated their lives to hunting all shifters, especially the werewolves.

Lorelai stormed out of the bar, furious with the fact that her father so callously handed her over to an Alpha from another pack, worst of all to Dominic Blythe, the guitarist who clearly knew all about it even before she did. He had no right, regardless of the laws and what the packs commanded. Marrying a complete stranger who was at least ten years older than her was the last thing she wanted.

“Damn him!” she cried as she raced into the night away from Dominic and away from her father. Angry and disappointed, she willed her wolf to come to the forefront, and as her wolf surged, it contorted her human form ferociously. She leapt into mid-air and twisted as her entire being animated into a werewolf. Her paws hit the ground with a loud thud and she set off, sprinting through the woods. She shoved aside the thought of being Dominic’s mate for life, for now anyway. But once he called for her, she would have no option but to submit to him. If she refused the union, the Silver Wolves would no doubt declare war against the Shadow Fangs. The future of her pack, rested solely on her. And for just one night, she wanted to be free; because it would be this final moment of freedom she would want to remember for the rest of her life, before she was eternally bound to her unwanted Alpha.

She couldn’t believe her father actually gave her away, as if she was livestock up for auction. She had been with the Shadow Fangs all her life and the prospect of becoming their omega one day, was completely ruined.

The thudding of her paws as they hit the ground, echoed in her head and whimpers of worry, like that of a wounded dog escaped her. As she reached her favorite place, a rock that jutted out over the cliff’s edge she sat down and howled into the night. She looked towards the moon as it rose over the hills, the red tint that accentuated the empty craters and lifeless landmass was a true reflection of her current state. Burned, desolate and numb.
