Sexnip (5 page)

A cloud passed over them, casting her backyard in shadow and showing Kat that her friend stood at the edge of the ocean. Without thinking, she stood and strode toward Nia, feet sinking into the sun-warmed sand. “I live my life and I like what I do, Nia. I’m not going to feel…”

You forget, Kat. I know your inner dreams and fantasies.
Oh. That got her attention. Kat squeezed her eyes shut tight, as if that could keep Nia out of her head.
I know of the men, not man, but men you fantasize about.
Oh, the ground could swallow her whole now. Any second would be good.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” Kat tried to lie, but failed miserably. She never could quite get the hang of lying with a straight face without giggles.

Uh huh. Just remember to live your life to the fullest. Embrace all that is offered and never regret your actions, Kat.

Kat had a retort forming on the tip of her tongue, but the warm liquid washing over her feet stalled the words. She dropped her gaze to her feet and froze.

Water. Not just water, but salt water. The ocean. Oh no! The ocean was touching her and, and it wouldn’t stop! No!
Stay calm. I just need to stay calm. Nia!
She needed her friend. As annoying as the ghost was because she always seemed to be right, about everything, she could always be counted on to calm Kat. Nia!

The water receded, leaving her feet soaked with salt water and sand. Ew! Things
lived
in the ocean water and now they were on her. Gross! She just needed to take a couple of steps back and she’d be okay. One foot behind the other and she’d be out of the ocean’s range.

Taking a deep breath, she tensed as she prepared to move. Too late though; another wave came rushing forward, bathing her in the ocean’s warmth again. Damn, she needed to get a move on. She’d do it this time. Really do it.

Once again, before she could force her body into action, the waves returned and Kat was beginning to enjoy the soothing heat from the water as it played over her feet and ankles. Maybe Nia had been right. Kat was a Tigre after all. From everything she’d been able to learn as she grew up, Tigres loved the water.

Kat wiggled her toes, feet sinking deeper into the sand, and she giggled as yet another wave crashed over her. This time, it was so large that water splashed all the way to the bottom of her shorts. Bending down to wipe a bit of the excess water off her legs, she sputtered when a wave splashed her in the face. “Ugh!”

She wiped her face on the bottom of her shirt. The ocean had been more fun when it was just her feet getting wet.

As she straightened, two muscular arms scooped her up and the man carrying her ran into the water. A quick glance revealed that Dr. Slade had picked her up, how she didn’t know. Last time she checked, her ass was the size of the Heart’s Haven ferry.

Kat clung to his shoulders, her fear forcing her fingers to form into claws as he carried her deeper into the water. She wasn’t submerged, yet. Before she could be thankful for him not dropping her, he did just that. One second she was in Dr. Slade’s arms and the next, she was fully submerged in the ocean waters.

She came up sputtering, spitting and hissing at Monty. Her teeth had elongated, as had her claws. Hell, she could feel her fur pushing through her pores as she growled low in her chest and faced her boss. Talking around her fangs was difficult, but she managed. “You…” She had to think of a really good insult, something that would hurt him, badly. “You dog!”

A tangle of seaweed flopped over Kat’s eye and she squealed, batting at the offending piece of vegetation, trying to get it off her face. Finally the germ infested piece of yuck relented and fell back into the ocean.

“Dog!” Monty growled low and she supposed he was attempting to be threatening. Well, her worst nightmare had come to life, courtesy of the mangy mutt, and she wasn’t about to back down now.

Kat waded through the water, trudging through God only knew what toward the shore. “Yes, dog!” she threw over her shoulder as she grew progressively closer to the sandy beach. She continued to grumble under her breath as she made her way. “Stupid man, throwing me in the ocean. Yeah, that’s a good idea! Woo hoo! Let’s throw the woman who freaking hates everything that can’t be sterilized in the ocean!” She snorted.

“I’m sure it seemed like a good idea at the time,” a deep voice murmured.

Kat snapped her head up to catch sight of Dr. Thorpe standing on the beach—before she tripped and fell face first into a foot of water. She came up sputtering, spitting seawater out and gagging on the horrible taste. She didn’t even want to
think
about what was in there.

Once she was standing again, she strode the last few feet out of the water and snatched the towel Will held out for her and scrubbed at her skin. Disgusted shivers wracked her body as she dried away the water.

She glanced over her shoulder and spied a still fuming Monty standing waist-deep in the water.

“I’m sure Monty is very sorry for dumping you in the ocean, Kat. His humor is a bit… different.” She eyed Will warily when he put down his picnic basket, pulled out another towel and helped dry her.

“I can dry myself, thank you.” She didn’t want him touching her, scenting her. She never could control her body’s response when she was in close proximity with Will or Monty. Especially Will, though. Memories of Will’s cock, covered in Monty’s saliva, constantly plagued her. Mainly because she wanted it to be her saliva covering his dick; she wanted to be the reason for his satisfied smile. How fucked up was she? She craved and lusted after two gay guys. She shook her head at the direction her thoughts were going, where they always went.

Embrace what is offered, Kat…

Stupid ghost.

Kat stepped out of Will’s reach and held the towel out to him. She needed to get away from these two, fast. Monty was making his way back toward the beach and she only imagined how quickly her ass would be fired. Calling your boss a dog was so not a good thing. “Thanks for the towel. I’m just going to go shower and then I’ve got to get to work. I’ll finish the week if that’s okay and then I’ll be out of your hair, um…”
Stupid choice of words!
“I mean, I won’t be around any longer.”

Will grabbed her arm as she strode around him and she stared at his hand on her. He dropped his hold, quickly. “Kat, don’t go. We brought a picnic lunch. We thought that maybe you’d enjoy an early dinner on your back patio… watch the sunset…”

She stared at him open-mouthed. Back patio sunset dinners were for lovers, not employees and employers to share.

Embrace…

Shut up!
she replied to Nia, hoping the damn annoying ghost was listening. “That’s very nice of you and might have been possible before my cologne was switched involuntarily from Ralph Lauren Blue to Eau de Ocean.”

Happy now, Nia? I even made a joke.
Not that she really believed the men were interested in Krazy Kat, but the ghost said to embrace, and being friendless on the island was getting boring. Besides, they had brought a picnic basket and everything. Too bad the smells of icky seawater were overwhelming her senses; otherwise she could have been able to scent what they’d brought.

Will had the grace to blush and run a free hand through his hair. He opened his mouth to reply, but Monty cut him off. “She called me a dog!”

Dripping wet, hair sticking out in all different directions, he didn’t seem as scary or intimidating as he normally did. Kat was ready to defend herself, but Will took care of the deed for her. “Of course she did, idiot. Hell, I would have called you an ass, but if the shoe fits…”

Monty growled low and shoved Will. Will retaliated with a shove of his own and Kat had enough. Turning on her heel, she left the men to their argument. There was embracing life and then there was watching two grown men act like the animals they were and fight like adolescent kids. If Nia piped up with another embrace comment she’d shoot herself just to become a ghost and slap the hell out of the woman.

You would not!

“I would! Did you see what he did to me?” she yelled.

Sometimes boys pick on the girls they like…

Chapter Six

Freshly scrubbed, Kat made her way toward the lab for her night of cleaning. With each step, she prayed that her bosses wouldn’t be there when she arrived. A dog! She’d called the man a dog.

At least Will had agreed with her, but then they began a childish shoving match. By the time she’d emerged from the shower the men were gone, but they’d left a note apologizing for their behavior and they even left her the picnic basket chock-f of her favorites.

With a sigh, Kat shook off the feeling that she should have “embraced” the situation as Nia urged. Nia hadn’t been in the land of the living for God only knew how long. How was she supposed to know what Kat should and shouldn’t do?

The scent didn’t hit her full on until after she’d nudged the door open. Damn. Kat had grown used to the combined scents of Will and Monty since she’d begun cleaning their lab over a month ago, but the smell of their sex never failed to hit her hard. Or maybe it was the fact that she wasn’t getting something hard that hurt her.

Shoving aside her resentment over not getting laid recently, Kat focused on the other feelings coursing through her. Even after showering in nearly scalding hot water, she still felt unsettled. The unwelcome swim in the ocean sent her obsessive-compulsive world into a tailspin. The need to organize and control what she could was overriding all other feelings at the moment.

Kat chose to ignore the obvious heady smell of sex hanging in the air and jumped into doing her job. Clean. And clean she did.

No surface was left untouched by her disinfectants. All of the countertops were wiped down, vials washed and set to dry, and floors swept. Her problem area remained where the men had
obviously
had sex. Little specks of white, which could only be dried semen, remained on the cabinet doors, and their most recent concoctions sat there mocking her.

It wasn’t the dried sperm she had a problem with. Sex, good sex, was messy. Probably why she hadn’t ever had good sex. Kat didn’t “do” messy. A few sprays and a wipe later, the residue of their lovemaking was gone. Now for the hard part. The vials.

They taunted her. Teased her. Beckoned to her. Four little vials, all lined up in their holder. Each of them held a liquid in varying shades of green. The slight differences in their shades didn’t bother Katerina. No, it was the various levels of their contents that had her on edge.

Will and Monty hadn’t put the specimens away as they normally did. Hell, they hadn’t even corked the vials. Instead, they sat in plain sight on the counter. Her fingers itched, palms ached. The compulsion to even out the contents of the small glass vials was more than she could handle.

Just a drop here and there…

Kat looked around the room. Easing toward the door, she peeked through the window to make sure no one was coming. Her inner cat told her no one was around, but she didn’t want to rely solely on her hearing. Since the smells of the catnip-laced fluids in front of her overrode her nose, she had to rely on her eyes and ears. Confident no one was lurking, she went to work.

The combined scents of sex and catnip had her pussy growing moist from the moment she’d walked over the threshold to the lab. It happened every time. Maybe Will and Monty didn’t make it a habit to fuck in the lab, but catnip was there always. Now, as she inched closer to the vials, stroking them with shaky fingers, her arousal burned hotter. Just being closer to the source of the scent had her senses reeling.

Kat’s pussy clenched with each stroke of the glass cylinder.
Slick, smooth and cool to the touch.
She squeezed her thighs together as she picked up the first vial, a tremor coursing through her. Taking a deep breath, she did what she craved to do. Order. She needed order. They left the room without it and she was there to return things to their proper place.

A few drops here, a few drops there…
Inexplicably, the draw of the catnip grew with each smidge of fluid she exchanged from vial to vial. Kat felt her panties become soaked with her arousal. Eyeing the glass tube in her hand, she entertained thoughts of sliding the cool glass between her labia and fucking herself with the vial. Shaking her head to clear her thoughts, she realized the mixture was having a greater effect on her than she’d anticipated.

With shaky hands, she replaced the last two vials, smiling when she saw that they each held the same volume of green tinted fluid. Wiping the counter with her towel, she screeched when it snagged on the test tube holder, sending it crashing on the hard countertop.

Glass splintered and cracked while the viscous fluid splattered all over Kat’s arms, chest and face. Appalled by the mess she’d created, she quickly jumped into action.

But then… Then tingles seemed to dance along her arms as if she were being caressed by a thousand warm hands. Along her skin, the fingers moved, stroking and caressing her with intimate touches. Her pussy wept and clenched at the new, overwhelming sensations. Kat’s skin absorbed the catnip-laced concoction and she shivered as it entered her bloodstream.

She dropped the rag, no longer caring for the mess she’d created. Her mind… had moved on to other things. More important things. Sex—and satisfaction—filled things.

Kat needed to be in her apartment with all those lovely toys from Serena that she hadn’t even touched yet. Needed to be there so bad.

Breathless and panting, Kat stripped. Uncaring of any people who might wander by or through the building, she tugged her clothes from her body as she ran toward the exit. Free, running with the wind in her fur. Now was the time to connect with her inner Tigre before she engaged in a
very
satisfying night of masturbation. Her cat couldn’t agree more.

Without a thought or care, Kat transformed from human to Tigre as she burst through the building’s back door, racing through the Heart’s Haven compound, one destination in mind. Arousal beat through her veins in time with her heart, blocking out any other sights and sounds. She and her cat had eyes for her bedroom. Nowhere else.
