He collapsed on top of her.

She could barely breathe but she didn’t care. Her fingers lightly slipped down his spine, feeling the sweat now pooling between the mounds of hard muscles on his back. Over his smooth buttocks, she lightly trailed her right hand onto his thigh. Her left fingers were entangled in his hair, twirling it back and forth. Staring at the ceiling, she embedded everything she was feeling right now into her memory as she lay underneath this strong warrior, just in case this didn’t last forever.

She rubbed her thigh against his, scooting to the side, allowing his left side to fall into the bed. But they were still joined, he’d made sure of that. Now with her leg up over his hip, his face close to hers on the pillow, she traced his lips with her forefinger. He was watching her carefully, but not saying a word, as if he too was taking a mental picture of their joined bodies, the heat of their sweat, and the steady rhythmic breathing in the aftermath of their frenzied lovemaking.

She placed her palm on his ear and cheek. She found words at last. “Sweet, Rory, if this is how you say goodbye, I’m dying to know how you say hello.”

He smiled. “It’s better.” He leaned closer and kissed her. “Except for one thing.”

“And what’s that?”

“I haven’t finished saying goodbye.”

Chapter 28

M
oustafa knew he
would find the woman at work, but he hadn’t seen the man until he nearly tripped over him at the coffee shop. He cursed under his breath at his lack of attention. She was delicious to watch, so unspoiled and ripe to be defiled. His concentration had gotten soft as he’d gotten hard, and then the warrior was there with his fiery hair.

He decided to stay behind the soldier, so he slumped into a table with a newspaper covering it, watching their movements from his peripheral vision. He didn’t dare draw attention by attempting a picture as she joined him. Moustafa looked up briefly when her leg swung around his and they drew themselves together in that intimate way lovers did. The way he used to do with his beloved.

When the warrior and his woman left together, he waited until they were outside before exiting the café. He crossed the street to his car as they both drove from the parking lot in single file. They weren’t hard to follow as the warrior let the woman lead and she was a slow driver. They traveled through familiar neighborhoods, since he now knew the route to her property. He knew that they’d be occupied for a time at her place having sex. He parked on the street across from her driveway and in the shadow of a large tree was able to take some photographs of them kissing and then entering her front door.

The neighborhood was quiet. It was before commute hours, so other than a stray dog bark and an airplane overhead, he heard no noise and didn’t see anyone outside.

The late afternoon was warm, and soon he fell asleep with the driver’s window down.

“Excuse me, but are you in trouble?” The dark glasses of the San Diego policeman reflected his astonished face in their lenses. He’d been startled awake. A lump caught in his throat as he wondered if the warrior’s friends had caught him.

“Oh. So sorry. I must have fallen asleep.”

“You don’t live around here?”

“No, I live near downtown. I’ve been studying for final exams and got sleepy and didn’t want to drive, so I took a little nap where I didn’t feel I’d be disturbed. I was just leaving.”

“You do that,” the officer responded. He was looking inside the car for anything he didn’t like. Moustafa hadn’t brought a weapon except for his antique pocketknife of his grandfather’s. He had his student visa and I.D., but didn’t want to wind up on any report. So he boldly asked if the officer wanted to see his driver’s license.

“Nah, not necessary. Where you go to school?”

“San Diego City College. I am majoring in Journalism.”

“Okay, well you run along. We don’t like people loitering in their car on public roads. You sure you’re okay to drive?”

“Yes, officer. I’m quite well. Thank you.” Moustafa adopted the friendly attitude of a harmless student, smiling, and starting the ignition while rolling up his window. He’d planned to follow the warrior to his home, but didn’t want to take a chance at being found again, so he headed to the Islamic Center for evening prayers. He was confident this time he would find the young soldier at the girl’s cottage in the morning.

On the way, he used one of the new phones the teacher gave him last week to dial one of the two new recruits. He was going to suggest that they meet after Maghrib.

On the other end of the line, the recruits chattered like birds on a fence, interrupting each other by grabbing the phone away. They’d located a new prospect, a young Ethiopian student from their Arab Studies group on campus. The teacher had offered a $500 bonus to each of them for every new recruit they found.

“Moustafa, we thought perhaps he could join us in the training next month.”

“Shh. We don’t talk about that on the phone.” The three of them were to travel to a training camp in Oregon, where the young recruits would learn to shoot a gun for the first time. They would also undergo hand-to-hand combat training from the teacher from Afghanistan, a former military man trained by the Special Forces, who was to arrive within the next thirty days. The recruits were excited. Moustafa wasn’t sure they understood what would be required of them in the months ahead after they’d completed their training.

“Bring him tonight to the Center. Afterwards, we will eat and discuss all these things.”

He hung up, and changed his clothes in preparation for Maghrib. Though he was purified and he wore clean clothing, he could not put the vision of the woman’s smooth backside he had photographed out of his mind. All along the short route to the Center, he would attempt to give himself to The Prophet, even as he was planning to make her his gift of blood sacrifice to be witnessed by the bearded man who was now fucking her.

God is great.

Chapter 29

R
ory had gotten
Kyle’s text at two in the morning and softly broke the news to Megan that he was going to have to leave. They’d only just managed to fall asleep. She welcomed him again to her arms. He was losing himself in her, feeding off the need in her soul. The intensity of their lovemaking left him begging for more.

But he had to leave.

“Megan, I’ll be back in a few days, I promise.”

She sat in the bed, knees to her chest, the sheets pulled up to her neck as she watched him dress in the moonlight. He didn’t dare look down at her too long, or he’d shed his clothes and take her again.

“Be very careful. Watch who calls you, who comes by, and make sure you take that guard’s offer to follow you home if you get spooked about anything. Remember—” he said as he watched her lean back and remove the sheet from one of her luscious breasts, “Remember—,” he couldn’t concentrate because she had squeezed her left breast and her right hand had delved under the covers where it was buried between her legs. Her knees were raised and she arched backward in a long moan. He knew what her fingers were doing.

Damn.

He quickly kicked off his shoes and slipped his pants down, leaving his shirt on. He threw open the sheets to find her two fingers inserted into her slit as she writhed before him.

He buried his face in her crotch, nosing aside her fingers, biting the lips of her labia, and lapping at her wet core. She groaned again, lifted her leg up over his head and flipped herself over, presenting her sweet ass to him on all fours.

“Holy mother of God, you’re going to be the death of me, Megan,” he said as he lapped her from behind, sliding a finger into her anus, which drove her crazy. She had grabbed the pillow beneath her and was shouting into it, biting it, her ass undulating in front of him. He inserted both his thumbs into her core, pulled her lips aside and sucked her insides like a ripe orange.

He was rock hard already and should have hesitated to use his remaining condom, but his lust for that pink flesh between her butt cheeks was too strong as he spread her wide and inserted deep. With knees bent, he brought her onto his lap, impaling her on his shaft as he knelt beneath her, pushing her legs to the outside of his. He felt like he could fill her all the way to her neck. He held her hair at the nape, pulling her face back alongside his. “I could fuck you forever,” he whispered through his teeth as he arched, rotated his hips and drove in deeper with each thrust.

“Yes, Rory,” she said as she bounced on him, her huge breasts putty in his palms.

“What are you doing to me, Megan?” he gasped again.

“Making you stay.”

Then it hit him. He didn’t want to leave. He had barely thought about his recovering hip, his mission with the Team, and he had to go. He really did have to go.

As if she could hear his thoughts, “I’m coming baby, just a little bit longer. Please, Rory, fuck me through it.”

His last thrusts pushed her into the headboard, and then down into the pillows while he spilled the seed he hadn’t realized he had left. Crouching over her backside, he waited a few long breaths, still inside her. He bit her ear and sucked the side of her neck, making a hickey that had her mewling into the pillows.

He hated to pull out, but he had to. She righted herself and they kissed on their knees, thighs touching, and her chest against his, her arms wrapped around his neck.

“Promise me,” she whispered. His apprehension grew quickly until she finished. “You will come back so I can learn how you say hello.”

“I promise.”

“I promise to be the one worthy of coming home to. You think about tonight, Rory, all during your training, and you come back to me, or I’ll go out, find you, and drag you back to my bed.”

He liked her spirit and her tenacity. He liked that she was insatiable, matching his sexual appetite. He felt he didn’t have to hold back with her, that he could give her all his intensity, and she wanted it and more.

“You aren’t going to have to drag me. Nothing could keep me away, sweetheart. When I get back, we need to talk.”

Had he said that? Really? Was he about to say something he’d never said before to anyone?

“Love you, Rory. I am completely yours.”

“Love you, baby.”

And there. It was done. He was all in. There was no turning back now.

He could still
smell her on his skin. His fingers were still coated in her juices, and he didn’t mind one bit. The grin on his face felt wonderful. He’d even put up with some harassment from Fredo or T.J. and still have enough left over for her. She was his. She belonged to him, was kin and family to him, just like his buddies on the Team.

When he got out of his truck, he noticed his hip was hurting him a little more. He grabbed his cane. In the early morning chill, the breeze coming off the ocean cooled him all the way down to his bones, just like it had done during the BUD/S training. He accepted it, relished it, and made it part of his toughness. He resigned himself to heal, told his leg to fuckin’ hurry up because he had things to do and he wasn’t going to let a little broken hip wound him or slow him down. He had a future, a purpose, and a new reason to live. He walked the distance to their Team building and found Kyle, Fredo, T.J., Brady, and all the rest of the guys waiting for him.

He got the catcalls, and he didn’t care.

“You’d have done the same,” he leveled at T.J. and Brady, who were punching him in the arm. “Damn, I got that bug,” He laughed and shook his head. He was razzed a little longer, several of the guys tousling his hair as they made it to the situation room.

Forsythe was waiting for them. It was unusual anyone outside their Team was inside their building, so Rory knew this was not good news. He took a seat next to T.J. just as Fredo walked in front of him, stepping on both his feet just for spite. The stocky SEAL stopped briefly and took a sniff of the air.

“I smell young love.”

Kyle swatted the SEAL away, and Fredo fell into a chair next to Cooper.

“Okay, we have some information gathered from Raymond Corrigan, the man you guys rescued day before yesterday.” Forsythe leveled a gaze at Rory. “And he’s doing well. It even looks like his employee will recover as well, thanks to some quick thinking and fast action on the part of our medics.” He nodded to Cooper and T.J.
