Saying Goodbye (What the World Doesn't Know) (39 page)

That we can’t see in day
It’s purgatory in paradise
Between the thin horizon line
of love and pain.

While the other girls were all caught up in their private dreams, Frankie couldn’t imagine having had a better reunion with Alex and was so grateful that he had forgiven her. They both knew the truth: her pregnancy and abortion were beyond her control. There was way too much influence on what two kids should do with their lives and everyone they came across claimed to have the answer.
As the helicopter glided across the teal waters of the Caribbean, Frankie reclined in her seat and closed her eyes, sensing an inner strength from the knowledge that she and Alex had overcome a very large hurdle in their relationship. It could only make them both stronger. Even if no one else knew or cared, their friendship and love would persevere and someday they would be together.
Regardless of when that day would arrive, Frankie gained confidence and faith in love. It didn’t matter if she and Alex were together all the time. It didn’t matter how many people tried to keep them apart. She knew love had survived and that she would be able take it with her no matter what she did or where she went in life. Looking through the window, hope was on the horizon.
The End.
