ROMANCE: The Bad Boy Meeting (48 page)

Chapter 8- A Confused Mind

The days turned into weeks and I was shocked to find that I almost didn’t want to leave. I was also irritated at whoever was in charge of sending a search team out for me. Didn’t anyone notice that I was gone?!

I spent my week days hanging with either Husky or Quin and my weekends with both men. They were really growing on me. Husky was usually quiet and serious, but Quin and I always managed to get him to crack a smile.

Being in such a small house, we constantly were around each other. I ended up getting all nested up in the attic. Which is less creepy than it sounds. Trust me! Although I assume that the only reason the guys didn’t let me have one of their rooms is because it was harder for me to sneak out of the attic without someone hearing all the noise.

Along with all of this. Despite my blooming friendship between the two men. Both of whom were super tight lipped about anything related to shape shifting into bears. My curiosity was killing me but the two men would either become quite or change the subject whenever I tried to sneak it into the conversation.

I wondered if it was like shaman stuff, or like werewolf stuff. Alas I was guessing that I’d have a hard time finding out. A part of me didn’t even want to know. The less I knew the better, especially if I was to make my escape!

Unfortunately as I stared out my small circular window at the moon. I knew that deep down, my crushes for the two men were becoming a lot more complicated. I sighed. I knew that I had to leave eventually. But it was almost like I was going to be in pain if I left.

I desperately hoped that I would get over my silly infatuation soon. Especially if it was for two guys! I don’t even think its possible to like two people equally. Never mind the fact that its completely wrong. Love was supposed to be for only one person.

I caught my mind using the word love and immediately reprimanded myself. I had to leave soon

Chapter 9- Uncontrolled Desire

I needed to find Quin so I could ask him about whether I could do some cooking. Husky seemed adamant that I stay out of the kitchen ever since I had gotten hurt. I thought that was a bit dramatic.

Without thinking I barged into Quin’s room. Only to find that he was naked and wet. My eyes went wide and my cheeks flushed. A painful shot of arousal went through me when he turned to me completely surprised by my entrance.

He didn’t have anything to cover himself with other than his hands. He stared at me wide eyed.

“Sorry!” I yelped. About to go out, unfortunately I heard Husky opening the front door and in my panic, I went into Quin’s room before quickly shutting the door.

I couldn’t let Husky get the wrong idea!

“What are you doing?” Quin asked while desperately trying to find something to cover himself and his man parts.

“Panicking?” I told him covering my eyes and telling myself not to peak.

Husky must have heard the door slam because he was knocking on Quin’s door asking if everything was alright.

“Fine” Quin yelped. Husky was completely unconvinced by his tone, so he ended up barging in. I guess I should have locked the door…

He realised that there was a weight behind the door and we ended up making a long and awkward amount of eye contact before his eyes shifted over to Quin. The gears in his head were turning.

“It’s not what it looks like!” I said quickly.

Husky’s eyes darkened.

I gasped as he shut the door and pulled me into his arms for a long and searing kiss. I was so surprised that I couldn’t even move my mouth to return it.

“I suppose I’ll just have to share you” He breathed out, once he pulled back enough to talk. His lips still brushed mine as he mumbled.

The next thing I know, Quin was next to me, delivering a kiss that rivaled Husky’s.

I heatedly kissed Husky on the lips as Quin placed sloppy heated kisses around any exposed skin he could get to. Quin groaned in annoyance and pulled my shirt off exposing my full breasts. Husky didn’t waste any time moving down to kiss and nibble them. Quin took the chance to capture my lips in his own. I moaned and felt arousal stinging my core. I was aware that Quin’s skin was still moist from the shower he had just taken. I was frustrated that Husky was still fully clothed.

He must have intuitively known that I was irritated about his clothed state because soon enough he was pulling his clothing off. I almost laughed at the way he fumbled, but I was distracted by Quin whispering into my ear.

“You’re so beautiful, I can’t hold back” His warm breath on my neck gave me shivers and I arched in pleasure. Husky was on his knees, he started to remove my pants and I kicked them off once they were loose enough. The two men slowly led me to a bed where I fell back into it. I took the moment that was presented to me and laid my eyes on the two friends. Both had great bodies, not overly defined, but definitely not average.

I couldn’t help but glance down at their straining arousal. I moaned, and they pounced. Licking and kissing me where they could. Before I knew it, Quin was on his knees and moving down to lick my sweet spot. While I encouraged Husky to let me, lick his burning arousal until I cried out from Quin’s administrations. The two men spent the entire evening satisfying their lust for me, and I lost myself in the pleasure.

The next morning I help my mug and took a long sip from it as I sat between the two men. They had their arms resting over my shoulders while lounging peacefully. I could hear birds tweeting outside and enjoyed the slight overcast weather shining through the window. We all were watching the news and enjoying the peaceful morning.

If there’s one thing that I knew for sure, its that I didn’t think that I would be leaving anytime soon.

Chapter 1

Jennifer Gordon looked in the mirror, brushed her long, brown hair back over her shoulders; and put on just a slight bit of eye make up to set off her doe-like hazel eyes. She was all set to go to work at the Perkins Travel Agency where she worked. It was an exciting day too because she knew that her boss was going to announce who had received the manager position. Jennifer had endured a lot and worked really hard for the past two years; and she knew that by right she should be the one to get the promotion. The trouble was a man named Holden had begun to work there six months ago and was already quickly gaining favor with the boss. Holden was one of those smarmy over confident guys who were always making inappropriate comments at the office.

When Holden first started working at the travel agency he would undress Jennifer with his eyes, always looking at her cleavage before her eyes. Then, he moved on by saying he loved beautiful curvaceous women like herself. She didn’t respond to his come-ons, so he eventually began to be insulting. He would say things like, “That suit looks a little tight on you,” Jennifer began to dislike him with a passion; and would like nothing more than to flaunt the fact that she got the promotion; and he didn’t.

Jennifer walked into the office; and before she could even sit down and get comfortable at her desk. Her boss, Walter called her to his office. On the way there, she walked by Holden’s desk. He gave her the usual once over followed by a disapproving glare. She just smiled back.

“Jennifer, you have been working very hard for us ever since you came two years ago. You always make the customers happy and give one hundred and twenty percent. That’s why I am proud to offer you the manger’s position. You will start tomorrow!” he said with a large grin. They both stood up and Jennifer shook his hand, grinning from ear to ear.

“Thank you sir, you won’t regret this decision. I will be sure to make you proud,” she said.

“I’m sure you will,” he said. Jennifer walked out of the office with a glow of happiness. As she walked past Holden’s desk, he shot her a look of disdain.

“Cheer up Holden, I’m sure one of your superiors will eventually fall for your smarmy act- keep working on it,” she said with a confident grin. He stared back at her with eyes that burned like two coals.

Jennifer should have felt like she was on top of the world; but she wasn’t. The one thing that was missing in her life was true love. She had friends, a supportive family; and a job that she loved; but no matter how hard she tried, she could not find the right man to share it all with. Her mother told her that she was trying to hard. She insisted that Jennifer’s generation was always trying to hook up with people on the internet when they should have been trying to meet people in person, the old fashioned way. That night, she was supposed to meet a guy that she had met on match.com. He came off as very charming and handsome on the site; and she was anxious to meet him. She had had several unfortunate encounters on dating sites, mostly from guys that would say inappropriate things to her like- “You’ve got a little more cushion for the pushin’” and ‘Wanna fuck?” It was refreshing to meet a guy that didn’t appear to be looking for just a one-night stand.

She was supposed to meet him at the Circular Bar, a bar at the top of an office building downtown that rotates. She changed into a sexy red dress, revealing just the right amount of cleavage and put on her favorite heals. She was supposed to meet the man at the bar, so she sat down immediately and looked around her. There were two couples; but no men resembling the man that she had set the date up with.

After about half an hour, she decided to go on and order a drink.

He must just be running late
she said to herself as she ordered a gin and tonic.

After over an hour had passed, she began to give up on the idea. Her excitement about her promotion began to fade slightly as she realized she had been stood up. She called her best friend, Sandy who also worked at the travel agency, to see if she would meet her for a drink.

“Hey girlfriend, what you up to?” she said.

“I can’t talk right now, I have a guy over here,” Sandy said. “Oh, did you get that promotion?”

              “Yes, I did!” Jennifer said.

“Oh that’s so awesome- we will have to go out and celebrate soon. Look, I have to go now; but I’ll tell you how things went. He’s so hot, Jennifer! Anyway, talk to you soon, love you,” Sandy said as she hung up the phone. Sandy was always with different guys. She was tall, blonde and slim; and Jennifer couldn’t help but think that her larger size had something to do with her lack of luck in the dating world. All the same, Jennifer was gorgeous and had trouble realizing this. She had curves and voluptuous assets that her friend Sandy would never have.

After sitting there for a few minutes feeling a bit sorry for herself as she stared at the downtown skyline, she realized that a man had sat down next to her. She didn’t want to turn suddenly to get a look at him for fear of being too obvious, so she continued to look out of the window.

“Quite the view isn’t it?” the man said in a slightly foreign accent. Jennifer couldn’t quite make out what type of accent it was.

“Eh, yes, it is,” Jennifer said, turning to look at the man for the first time. He was handsome and muscular with dark eyes and dark hair. He was dressed very stylish in a European suit. He was a great deal better looking than the man she was supposed to meet that night; and she could immediately tell that he was probably more distinguished and intelligent as well.

“I couldn’t help but notice that you seem a little forlorn?” he said as he took a sip of his drink.

“Oh, well I was supposed to meet someone; and he didn’t show up,” Jennifer said.

“What a fool he is to stand up such a classy, beautiful woman as yourself,” he said.

“Oh well, thanks,” Jennifer replied, trying not to blush.

“I’m Kenneth by the way, Kenneth Chevalier,” he said, extending his hand.

“Jennifer Gordon,” she said. “Very pleased to meet you. You know I should be happy today, I got a promotion at the travel agency where I work. I’m now a manager,” she said.

“Oh congratulations are in order then,” he said as he put a finger up to attract the attention of the bartender. “What will you have to drink?”

              “How about champagne?” she said.

“Sounds appropriate,” he said. Once the bartender brought the glasses to them, Kenneth raised his glass to Jennifer. “Here’s to your continued success,” he said.

“Cheers,” she said as their glasses collided. Their eyes locked for a moment as they toasted; and Jennifer could tell there was an immediate attraction.

“So I couldn’t help but notice you have an accent. Where are you from and what do you do, if you don’t mind me asking?” Jennifer said, sipping her champagne.

“Well, I work for an international advertising firm. I am originally from france, although I now live in New York. I am here to conduct some business. Is the travel agency you work for called Perkins Travel Agency by any chance?” he asked.

              “Yes, it is,” she said.

“What a funny coincidence. Your company is one of my clients,” he said.

“How about that?” she said as her eyes widened.

“Yes; but that’s enough about business. What do you like to do when you are not working?” he said.

“Well, I like to read, go hiking in the woods, travel when I can; and go see live music,” she said.

“I see, we have quite a bit in common. I like all of those things as well. We should get together sometime and try some of them. I think we can eliminate the reading as an option, it might not make for very good conversation,” he said, making Jennifer laugh.

“I would like that,” she said, trying not to appear too anxious. She needn’t worry because Kenneth was just as eager to be in her company.

“Why don’t we exchange numbers? I will be in town for a couple of months and I would very much like it if we could get together soon,” he said.

“Yes, that would be nice,” Jennifer said as she tried hard to hide her excitement.
