PRIVATE: A Military Romance Novel (Military Men Book 2) (7 page)

I fondled the soft folds between her legs, rubbing her nub between my fingers until she almost went weak in the knees with the amount of pleasure I gave to her. Drawing long strokes along her pussy, I dipped into her cunt and all its juices each time.

She moaned as she fought to stay together. I would have loved to have gone down on my knees and taste her, but there wasn’t enough time. The long sex session would have to wait. We’d need at least a couple of hours in order to do everything I wanted to do to her body.

My cock wasn’t going to wait much longer. Kincaid was more than ready for me, all slick and slippery between her thighs.

I repositioned and pushed into her, so relieved when I felt her tightness wrap around my cock. We instantly fit together, like perhaps we’d been made from one mold.

My hips bucked back and forth, my shaft gliding in and out of her with ease. She relaxed against me, letting me control her body and take from it what I needed. And I needed her, all of her, right at that moment.

I snaked a hand between us, disappearing between her folds and finding the bundle of nerves that I craved. I started rubbing her clit, sometimes fast and then sometimes slow. I wanted her to know how much I revered her body and wanted to bring her so much pleasure that it scrambled her brain.

“You like that, sweetheart?” I asked. Her answer was written in the smile she flashed me. “I’ve got plenty more of that for you.”

Kincaid closed her eyes for a moment, lost in the sensations between her legs. Her gorgeous boobs pressed against my chest as my mouth longed to suck on them. I couldn’t reach now but one day I would, those juicy globes would be mine.

Her body stiffened while she lingered on the precipice. “Come for me, sweetheart,” I whispered. Our eyes locked together at the same time I sharply flicked her clit.

Her cunt pulsed around my dick as she closed her eyes again. “Corporal,” she breathed. It was all she could manage as she was lost in the orgasm.

My hand stilled and left her pussy while my hips turned up the speed. My cock was hungry for her, diving and out of her tight hole until I couldn’t take it any longer.

Cum showered inside her, coating her with everything I had while the electricity of my orgasm took a hold of my body. I was shaken from the inside out, a pulse racking my nervous system until I couldn’t think about anything else.

My cock twitched and pulsed while the sheer joy of our coupling sung through me. We were one person at that stage, never again to be separated.

Kincaid leaned against me while we held onto one another. My arms encircled her, holding her naked form against me while our pulse tried to return to normal.

I slipped out of her as my cock softened. The relief was palpable. I wanted to give her a thousand kisses for the joy she had just given me.

“That was amazing,” she muttered.

“You are the amazing one. Your sexy body is a wonderland.”

She smiled.

A part of me knew we should get dressed and return to our bunks before someone caught us. In that moment, I found it difficult to care, much less to move.

A beeping sounded, the noise more an annoyance than something we had to deal with. She looked at me, puzzlement in her eyes now. “What’s that noise?”

“I don’t know,” I replied.

I looked around, trying to ascertain where the insistent beeping was coming from. I couldn’t work it out, but it was annoying.

In the next instant, I woke up.

I was still in my bunk, still in my dorm, and the alarm clock was flashing six a.m. It was also beeping like a motherfucker.

Eager to return to my dream, I hit the snooze button and rolled over onto my stomach.

No. Fucking. Way.

The embarrassing wetness in my pants was unmistakable. I hadn’t had a wet dream in years. A part of me was still questioning whether it had all really been a dream. It had seemed so real.

But it wasn’t. I needed to clean the hell up before any of my bunkmates saw the mess. More than that, I needed to get Kincaid out of my head.

Now.

Chapter 8

Sasha

҉ ҉ ҉ ҉ ҉ ҉

My first day in the field was something I wouldn’t forget for a very long time. I never expected to lie to my superior, or have Rafter see my naked body.

I may have had fantasies about Rafter and nakedness, but he was naked in those moments too, not just me.

Lying to Major Atoll was relatively easy, I’d lied plenty of times before. There was no way he was going to punish me on my first day, so taking the fall for the break of protocol wasn’t even something I had to think about.

I would, however, like to speak to the snitch who ran to him the moment we returned to base. There were only a few short minutes between arriving back and being summoned to his office. I was determined to find out who it was so I knew who to look out for.

Atoll wouldn’t tell me who it was; he said it would be inappropriate. My Uncle Arthur was a good man and doted on me, but he was also a good solider. Which meant he wouldn’t snitch on the rat. If I couldn’t get the information out of him, I was going to have to go digging for it elsewhere.

I’m sure Rafter would be keen to know too. Just the thought of him brought back the memory of the shower incident. Even after a good night’s sleep I still couldn’t shake the image of him looking at me.

His eyes had been hungry, appreciative,
sexy
. He liked what he saw and I liked seeing it written across his face. I had been silently begging for him to take me right then and there in the shower stall. The spider was a horrible thing but I was glad it happened now.

Rafter was seated at the table at breakfast in the mess hall. Our troop were also seated, sharing jokes and stories as we prepared for another big day. I took a seat at the end.

“You’re a bit late,” Dekker commented as I started to eat. “Did you have trouble getting your hair straightener to work?” He laughed, along with the few men around him.

“Actually, it was my vibrator and it worked perfectly, thank you,” I shot back. I’d dealt with jerks my whole life, I wasn’t ready to take their crap.

Dekker didn’t hesitate now. “I bet you need a great big one, huh? Need something to plug that big hole. I’ve got something you can use.”

My face burned, as much as I wished it wouldn’t. All I wanted to do was eat in peace and quiet. But moving seats now would be giving in to the wanker. “My vibrator works fine, thank you.”

He just wouldn’t give up. “Maybe you prefer dykes, huh? It’s the mouth action you like, right? Well, baby, if you lie back and close your eyes, you’ll never notice the difference.” He licked his fork suggestively, running his filthy tongue all over it.

A hand suddenly clamped down on his shoulder, making him jump. My eyes started at the hand and travelled upward to see Rafter standing there, a look of thunder clouding his eyes. “I think you’re finished here, Dekker. Make your way to the trucks.”

He didn’t like the order, I could see it in the clenching of his jaw. Still, Dekker picked up his plate and made his way through the mess hall, choosing not to be insubordinate to his superior.

Rafter remained standing there. “I hope he wasn’t bugging you too much, Kincaid.”

“I can look after myself.” I’d never needed my brothers to fight my battles and I wasn’t about to let someone start now. As much as I appreciated the fact that he stood up for me, I was too bull headed to get used to it.

He stared at me a moment longer before returning to his seat. I ate my eggs and bacon in silence, still embarrassed about the whole thing.

Every time I looked down I could feel eyes on me. When I looked up again I was quick enough to catch Rafter as he averted his gaze.

I wondered whether he was picturing me naked. I hoped he was. I wouldn’t mind sexually suggestive comments from him. Judging by the way his ears burned a dark red, I got the feeling his thoughts were very much X-rated. Mine were too and he featured predominately.

A soldier’s body was like a temple and I was prepared to pray at his anytime he wanted. We were away from home and I was feeling reckless. Unfortunately, that was how soldiers were killed so I had to focus on the work.

“We should get going,” Rafter declared to the table as he stood. His tone held enough warning for us to move and follow him.

We assembled in the vehicle bay, ready to head out and fight for our cause. I half expected Rafter to team me with someone else so we couldn’t have a repeat of the previous day but he still called my name for his partner.

The troop jumped in a truck, putting on the last of their armor and securing the hot and heavy helmets. I hated wearing so much in the heat but it was a necessary evil. Better to be hot than dead.

We rode out through the gates of the base and crossed from safe territory into the war zone. We were in the Taliban’s world now and the threat was starkly apparent in graffiti scrawled on walls by the side of the road.

There was nervous tension in the truck. They wouldn’t admit it but I was certain we were all thinking the same thing, we prayed we would return back tonight after our mission.

The men rarely spoke about such things, too afraid of showing some vulnerability, but I could see it in their hard-set jaws and white knuckles clutching their weapons. It was all there, you just had to read their body language.

We arrived in our target zone and broke off into groups. We were in teams of four today, trying to take back a medical clinic that the Taliban had as their stronghold. Our intel said they were using stand over tactics to ensure only those supporting them were getting medical treatment. The small community needed the clinic so we had to take it back.

Sometimes there were moments in my job where I really started to hate people. I’d gone into this war holding onto the belief that humanity was really good at its heart, there were just some that had turned bad due to their circumstances or experiences.

Seeing what the Taliban were doing firsthand made me believe otherwise. They acted without compassion or mercy, intent on inflicting the most horrendous pain possible to people that didn’t deserve it. It made me fight that much harder.

Today was one of those days that showed me how wrong I had been when I left the US. These animals had the clinic and its staff in its iron grip. Employees were too scared to quit and were forced to care for injured terrorists. Meanwhile, all the other sick members of the community were suffering without access to the medical treatment they needed.

Simon reported back from his scouting while we waited nearby. “There’s a woman directly inside the door, she is being watched over by two members of the Taliban. They are both armed with semi-automatic machine guns. Through the back window it looks like there are about five patients in the back. Only one person appears to be guarding them.”

Rafter processed the information, trying to formulate a plan. I was ready to go, ready to inflict some justice on the enemy. I wanted them to know the fear and despair they caused wherever they went.

We waited, holding our breath in the stifling heat, until we were given our orders. Corporal Rafter was a smart man, it was the right decision lying to the major to ensure he kept his promotion.

“How many doors?” he asked.

“One at the front, one at the back, and another at the side. Three in total,” Simon replied. He was one of the youngest of our group, only a year older than myself. His experiences in the field were already starting to show on his face.

Rafter nodded. “One team at each door, the last will wait outside and move to where the most noise is. We go in and secure the men. Only shoot if it is really necessary. Remember, there are sick people inside. They might be the enemy but they are still ill.”

Everybody moved into formation and waited for the signal to go inside. Rafter gave it and we moved in. The moment we encountered the enemy their guns were trained on us, firing at will.

They weren’t going to give up lightly. Gunfire roared through the building, coming from everywhere all at once. Words were shouted in Dari, causing more men to emerge from other areas to assist in the fight.

Rafter and I moved together, shoulder to shoulder as we led the way with bullets. It wasn’t our preferred method but there was little else we could do with the onslaught.

Eventually, it was too much. There were dozens more terrorists than our intel had said. We were far outnumbered, outgunned, and we needed to get the hell out of there.

“Fall back! Fall back!” Rafter screamed. We backed out, never taking our eyes from the enemy as we did. They never stopped firing, making my ears ring with all the noise.

“That was a fucking disaster,” he swore as we regrouped in an alleyway. He kicked the wall with frustration as the other groups started to arrive. “Is anyone injured?”

Watson shrugged a shoulder, showing a red patch of bare flesh. “Bullet grazed me. Nothing a little vodka won’t fix.”

“You should go back to base,” Rafter said. He wiped at the sweat on his face. “I’ll call in a medic transport.”

“Don’t worry about it, it’s nothing,” Watson insisted before his face split into a grin. “You should see the other guy.”

“We’ll move onto target number two and come back to this one when we’ve got more men.” Rafter issued the order and everyone started moving. We all walked a little more shaken than earlier.

As we walked through the town, the silence was eerie. When people heard gunshots around this part, they ran for cover. It didn’t matter which side was firing.

Evidence of people living their ordinary lives in the area were starkly apparent. A children’s playground had a swing still moving even though its child had run away. A supermarket had closed its door and locked up, the
open
sign still swinging.

We were silent as we stalked through the streets, always watching for the stray bullets that could be fired our way.

Three blocks from our destination and our paranoia proved to be rational. A volley of bullets kicked up the dirt in front of us, sending us scattered for cover. We ducked into a small building, the door hanging from its hinges.
