“Right.” He nodded and looked back out toward the pool as Bree began to maneuver Carly through the crowd. That’s when he remembered Lewis offered his room to him. That would score him brownie points with Bree. “Bree, wait.”
She stopped and glared back at him, her lips in a flat line. “What?”
“Well, I can get you Lewis’ room for her. He keeps everyone locked out of it.”
“And how can you get in it?” she asked with an eye roll and a hint of sarcasm in her voice.
“He’ll let Carly have it.” Garrett didn’t want to admit Lewis offered it to him so he could sleep with Paige, though he had no intentions of using it for that.
Bree let out a half laugh and shook her head as Garrett stepped toward her. “I don’t believe Lewis has anyone’s best interest in mind.”
“Okay.” Garrett said as held up the opposite side of Carly, flinging her floppy arm over his shoulder. “Lewis offered it to me so I could…well, I wasn’t going to use it.”
“Right.” She lifted her eyebrows.
“I’m serious.” He defended himself as Carly’s head flopped onto his chest.
“Ummm, you smell good.” Carly giggled with a sniff.
Garrett leaned his head back and swatted the curls out of his mouth. “C’mon, just let me help you with her. I know what a jerk Hudson can be.” He tried to charm her with his smile as he pushed open the glass door Paige dragged him out of earlier.
