“What the hell are you guys doing here?” Kyle asked.

“You thought we’d miss all the fun?” asked Tom.

“Actually, we’re right on schedule,” said Carter. “At least
Natalie and I are. Natalie’s got a couple of weeks off from teaching and
there’s only one week left.”

“But you didn’t want to be here when the scout was here.”
Kyle frowned, feeling they’d left him in the lurch. Although it had turned out
rather nicely.

“We came for when the actual movie was being shot,” said
Carter. “We figured that’s when you’d need us most. Although I guess now
they’ll all be going away?”

“I’d guess. Depends on who the police arrest and whether the
right people are there to carry on. But from what Gallagher said, I think the
movie’s toast.”

“Too bad. I think my little sub was looking forward to the
spectacle.”

Natalie squeezed Carter’s waist, looked up at him and
grinned. “It’ll be more of a vacation without them. I think we’ll find things
to do.”

Carter kissed her briefly. For that small moment, Kyle
realized that Tom and he didn’t exist to the couple. He’d thought of Carter as
somehow ensnared, lured from a life of pleasure by his sub. But when Teresa
gazed at him that way, he didn’t feel trapped at all. He’d been avoiding it all
his life and now he knew it was exactly what he wanted. He just had never met
the right woman before.

“You two look beautiful together.”

Carter didn’t hide his surprise well. “Thanks,” he managed.

“How’d you get past the police?”

“They knew we were coming, and they can’t keep us from our
home unless they have a good reason,” said Tom. “And Roger has connections.
They let us ride in right behind them, but they wouldn’t let us come into the
house until they had the ‘perimeter secured’. It’s actually kind of amusing
watching a bunch of civilians secure a building, but they did okay.”

“The police aren’t exactly civilians,” objected Carter, who
had been a military policeman and investigator.

“They aren’t exactly not,” replied Tom, the ex-Navy SEAL.

“I don’t think Stegner and crew are exactly going to run a
guerilla war here,” replied Kyle drily. “Anyway. It’s good to see you guys.”

“Yeah.” Tom pulled him into a firm hug, and then Carter did
the same. And even Natalie had a hug for him. He could have sworn the girl had
been petrified of him when they had last met, but she didn’t seem to be so now.

Sergeant Kelly opened the door down the hall and walked
toward him. “Ah, they let your friends up.” Teresa was right behind her.

“Yep.”

Kelly seemed to lock eyes with Tom for a moment and then
turned back to Kyle. Was there a hint of a blush on her face?

He’d have to get the story from Tom later, if there was
anything to it. “May we wait a moment before you question me? I’d like to
introduce Teresa rather than leave her all alone.”

“Yeah, we want to meet the girl who’s captured Kyle’s
heart,” Tom said.

Kyle resisted the temptation to growl. Roger had been
talking seriously out of turn. Come to think of it, why had they all stayed
away while Teresa was on the island, only to show up as she was supposed to
leave according to the original plan? Watching the movie being made was a
plausible reason, but it wasn’t the most likely reason. Roger had left him on
the island alone with her—of course he hadn’t known about Gallagher—on purpose.
Roger had waited, then come back to the island to see how things were going,
and then had decided to give Tom and Carter the all clear.

I’ve been set up.

It was hard to be angry about the result, however.

“I’d rather you wait, sir,” said Sergeant Kelly. “Teresa,
you said you had a room of your own?”

Carter and Tom instantly looked at him and tensed up.
What
do they think I’m going to do?
A week ago maybe he would have insisted. The
idea of anyone—even a cop—telling him what to do on his own island would have
ticked him off. It still annoyed him. But he’d put up with it to make sure
Teresa was beyond suspicion. She smiled at him from behind the sergeant, and
that was enough communication to get him by. He gave Carter and Tom an annoyed
look, and then turned back to the sergeant.

“Where do you wish to talk?”

“In the same room, please.”

He followed her to the room, touching Teresa’s hand briefly
as they passed each other.

It might, he thought, be the last time he had any woman
other than Teresa alone with him in a bedroom. The thought should have scared
the hell out of him. Instead, it made him smile.

Chapter Twelve

It seemed like ages before the police were finally done
questioning Kyle, but Teresa wasn’t worried. Sergeant Kelly hadn’t been too
bad. The sergeant had a way of getting her to talk, but she had nothing to hide
and she didn’t regret anything she said. In other circumstances, Teresa thought
they might have even been friends—of course, that might be all part of the act,
but Teresa thought she could spot fakes. She’d been around the professionals.

Kyle knocked on her door. She knew it was him from the
sound, although she couldn’t have described how or why. She opened it and
hugged him tight. He wrapped his arms around her waist and squeezed
possessively.

“They’re finishing up in the house,” said Kyle. “They
decided to do the interrogations back in Cairns, so they’re transporting all
the movie people off the island.”

“So the police are leaving?”

“Just the house. They’re still quite busy down at the cove.
Sergeant Kelly’s gone there to take Roger’s statement. Come on. There are
people I want you to meet.”

“Your friends.”

“Yes.”

She took his hand and walked down with him. His friends were
down at the pool. Two good-looking men wearing swim trunks lounged back on the
chairs at poolside. One was blond and buff. The other was more slender, with
short black hair. Both had been in the photo on Kyle’s dresser, although the
blond had shorter hair then. The brunette woman she’d seen earlier in the hall
was on a cushion next to the black-haired one, leaning against his thigh. She
wore a collar and a short, tight dress and looked at peace. Possibly she was
even asleep. The men were talking as if they hadn’t seen each other in a while
either.

When Kyle opened the door all eyes turned to look at her.
The dark-haired man ruffled the hair of the sleeping woman and she woke up to
look as well. Teresa hadn’t thought Kyle being with a woman was that big a
deal—certainly he wasn’t exactly celibate. What made her so interesting?

“Everyone, this is Teresa. Teresa? Master Tom. Master
Carter. Natalie.”

“Pleased to meet you,” said Carter. Tom got up and shook her
hand.

Natalie waved. “Hi there. Nice to have another woman here.”

Teresa had remembered how she’d been dreading the arrival of
Stella Munro, for fear she would catch Kyle’s eye. Now that she was being
transported back to Cairns, that wasn’t a worry. Natalie looked very attached.
And now that she thought about it, Teresa didn’t feel she had to be concerned
anyway. Kyle might have had lovers in the past, and she didn’t know for sure
what their future had in store, but he was clearly at least interested in
figuring it out, and she didn’t think he’d be distracted by another woman until
they did. Teresa smiled. “Thank you.”

“I’m a little sleepy from the plane trip,” said Natalie. “We
flew in from Chicago to Los Angeles to Sydney to Cairns, and then a long boat
ride out to here. Carter sleeps on the plane much better than I do, so if I nod
off please forgive me.”

Kyle put his arm around Teresa’s waist. “Teresa’s staying
for a couple of weeks.”

“And where are you off to after that?” asked Natalie.

“I have an assignment for another movie that I need to start
moving on in two weeks, in Berlin. A picture about the taking down of the wall;
I think it’s going to be a wonderful movie and I’m excited about it.”

“Berlin, huh?” Kyle asked.

“Do you want to come with me?”

Kyle looked thoughtful but calm. Tom spoke up before Kyle’s
thought had a chance to finish. “You guys sound pretty serious.”

She looked around. Tom and Carter were grinning. It all felt
awkward to her.

“I think the four of them all thought they’d never find the
right woman,” said Natalie. “Eternal bachelors and all that. They were wrong.”
She looked up at Carter. “Weren’t you, Master?”

“It’s not that,” said Carter. “It’s that we didn’t feel Kyle
would be first.”

“Second,” said Tom and Natalie simultaneously.

“Second,” agreed Carter. “I meant first after me. Next.”

We’re still working things out.
But Teresa figured
she’d let Kyle make objections if he had any and he remained silent. Instead he
walked over to one of the lounge chairs, unfolded it several feet away from
Carter and gestured for her to join him.

Was she supposed to recline next to it, the way Natalie was?
She wasn’t sure quite where she was supposed to go. He lay down on it and
reached out his hands for hers. When she took them, he pulled her into his lap.

“I found the right woman all right,” he whispered to her.
“Now I have to keep her.”

She cuddled up next to him. The sun was setting across the
ocean, leaving golden stripes across the waves. He unbuttoned the buttons of
her shirt and slipped his hand inside, resting it on the swell of her breast
for a moment. It wasn’t the sort of thing she was used to having done in
public, but the others didn’t seem all that interested and somehow it felt
right. A tropical island in the middle of nowhere didn’t have to follow other
people’s rules, and sexuality didn’t have to be something to hide. Even kinky
sexuality. Her nipples hardened and perhaps in reaction he slid his hand inside
her bra. His fingers squeezed a stiff peak. She gasped in response, then looked
to see if anyone had heard her.

Carter and Natalie had eyes only for each other. Tom noticed
though, and smiled. Then he got up and headed down the jungle path.

“I don’t think they want you going that way,” said Carter.

“No, they probably don’t. But there’s something I want to
do.” Tom ducked under the police tape and disappeared into the trees.

“Doms,” said Natalie.

“Doms,” Teresa agreed and kissed Kyle. “Mine,” she
whispered.

“Are you suggesting that we do whatever we want?” asked
Kyle.

Teresa grinned. “I suggest, Sir, that you do exactly that.
Do whatever you want—as long as it’s to me.”

“Mmm. Let’s start with kissing.” Kyle’s lips pressed against
hers and his tongue invaded her mouth. Taking. Claiming. She could barely
breathe and she wasn’t sure she cared. She yielded to him, loving the hand
behind her head that stopped her from pulling away and the taste of his tongue
moving wetly against hers, even as she became aware of how wet she was getting
elsewhere. He pinched her nipple harder, and this time she couldn’t gasp. She
closed her eyes and felt it. And wanted more. She didn’t care who was watching
anymore.

“Whatever I want, hmm?” asked Kyle, finally pulling back to
let her breathe.

“Yes Sir.”

“You really are a good girl. That must be why I love you.”

She opened her eyes and smiled at him. “I love you too,
Sir.” Some impishness in her made her say it louder so that Carter and Natalie
could hear her even if they hadn’t heard him.

“I love you,” he repeated, matching her for volume. Then
apparently he’d decided she’d had enough time to catch her breath. Or maybe he
was doing whatever he wanted. His lips covered hers again and he kissed her
deeply.

Someone cleared his throat. She decided she didn’t have to
worry about it. Kyle was in charge. She could relax and follow his lead. She
couldn’t believe how freeing that felt.

Kyle took a few extra seconds and then tugged lightly on her
hair to pull her away. It hurt. And perversely, even that felt good. He was
definitely in charge, and she suspected he’d remind her of that as often as
possible.

“What is it?” Kyle asked. She turned to look at whom he was
talking to. Roger and Tom had come from the path.

“Just wanted to let you four know that the police say
they’re done at the house, so they should leave us alone for a while. The
penteconter isn’t towable, as much as they’d like to impound it, so they’ll be
staying at the cove through the night and they expect until tomorrow, but it
looks like they found literally a ton of coke and heroin on it. Fortunately Tom
struck out on his attempt to leave me alone, so we’re going to play a game of
cribbage.”

Roger and Tom walked past them into the house.

Natalie asked a question of Carter that Teresa couldn’t
quite hear, and Carter grinned and nodded. She stood up, pulled her dress over
her head and then sat back down, wearing nothing but a collar. It wasn’t the
same one Teresa had seen her in before in the hall; this one was black and
vinyl. Maybe it was more waterproof.

She looked at Kyle. Was he going to tell her to take her
clothes off as well? Then she realized it didn’t bother her if he did. Carter
and Natalie were obviously into each other. Roger and Tom had gone inside.

“Are you wondering whether I want to see you naked?” he
asked.

She hesitated a second. “Yes Sir.”

Kyle chuckled. “Why are you wondering?” He popped the last
button on her shirt and then pulled open the snap on her jeans.

“Um.”

“Of course I want to see you naked. But I do appreciate that
you like to be ordered. Stand up and strip for me, Teresa.”

“I can’t just slither out of my clothes right here?” It
seemed less of a show somehow.

“No. I want to watch. And I want you to learn. You’re
beautiful, Teresa. You have a beautiful body.”

She hesitated and then regretted it. Tom and Roger came back
outdoors with their cribbage board and a deck of cards and headed for a table
near the pool. More of an audience. She was aware of how hard her nipples were
and how obvious her arousal would be. That made it harder—and turned her on
even more. “Still? In front of them?”

“In front of me. They just happen to be nearby. Now,
Teresa.” His voice had a steel in it that hinted at punishment. That made her
pussy tingle. She wondered what she had to do to get him to spank her again. Or
maybe use the crop. She couldn’t help but smile at the idea.

Kyle frowned at her. “I’m not psychic, Teresa, but I think I
know what you’re thinking. You have an impish grin forming on your face. You
don’t get what you want by being disobedient. Obey and I’ll show you the
dungeon tonight. Disobey and you’ll still sleep in my room—but on the floor,
not on the bed. Naked, even if I have to rip those clothes off you myself.”

She hopped up in a hurry. Too much of a hurry. She’d
forgotten that the chair was on the edge of the pool. She teetered on the edge
for a moment, trying to stay up. Kyle grabbed her and pulled her back.

“No clothes in the pool, Teresa,” he said sternly.

“I wasn’t trying to!”

He smiled. “Good. I’d much rather have you in my arms.” Yet
he let her go to sit back down. His gaze raked her body. She had his total
attention, and even as it made her blush she knew that intensity was part of
what she liked. She reached down to unbutton her shirt before realizing he’d
gotten all the buttons already. All she had to do was undo the cuffs and shrug
it off. She stripped off her jeans and stopped, in case he wanted her to.

She could tell he didn’t.
Damn.
She shucked off her
underwear quickly, not wanting to draw any more attention to herself than she
had to. She couldn’t help but glance over at where Roger and Tom were playing
cribbage. They were looking, and neither had the grace to turn away when she
caught them at it.

“They’re staring, Sir,” she whispered to him, but she might
as well have said it given how loud she had to whisper.

“Of course they are. What bloke wouldn’t? But this isn’t
about giving them a show or not giving them a show, my love. It’s about focus.
And yours should be on me. Look at me. Nothing else. Just meet my gaze.”

She started into his deep-blue eyes.

“Could you have taken your clothes off for them?”

“No.”

“Or in front of them, if I wasn’t here?”

“No Sir.”

“But with me, you can—you’re stronger. We make each other
stronger.”

She was about to argue that being able to take her clothes
off wasn’t necessarily a sign of strength, but she decided what he said felt
right. She
did
feel stronger. Which was the strangest thing, because she
also felt soft and submissive. She wanted to figure it out, but she had another
question. “I make
you
stronger, Sir?”

“Oh yeah. Much. Come closer.”

She leaned forward and he pulled her onto his lap. “But
you’re so strong already. When I met you I thought you were made out of steel.”

“Because I was strong? Or because I was inflexible?”

She thought about that for a moment. “Maybe the latter. But
they are similar, aren’t they?”

He laughed. “When the wind blows some the oak is unmoved and
the grass sways, but when it blows hard enough the grass still sways and the
oak, unable to move, cracks and breaks.”

“That’s very clever.”

“Not original with me. Lao Tzu, I think. Being able to bend
is a kind of strength. And I can bend more for you than I’ve ever been able to
for anyone before. And you can and will bend for me. Straddle me.”

She shifted her legs so that they were on each side of him
and looked down. His cock made a ridge in his shorts. “Some of you isn’t
flexible anymore,” she said. She hoped he didn’t mind her smirking.

“Feel how inflexible it is, pet.”

She reached down, only for him to stop her.

“Not with your hand. Press your pussy against it.”

In front of everyone?
But she remembered what he said
about focus. She shifted and pressed downward until she could feel his
hardness. Her pussy throbbed at the touch, or maybe it was the knowledge of
what she was doing. Having an audience seemed so wrong, and yet the wrongness
of it was a turn-on too. Did he know that? She looked into his eyes, saw them
sparkle with a smile that was part lust and part pure smugness, and decided he
did.

He put his hands on her hips. “Now let me move you.” He
pulled her closer, so that his cock ground against her, and then started moving
her back and forth. His cock sawed against her clit, sending tremors deep into
her core.
