Read Keeper of My Dreams (St. John Series Book 4) Online
Authors: Lora Thomas
“Eli, get down.” London ordered.
“You!” Eli said as he pointed to an older gentleman. “Spread the word. I love my wife and will call anyone out who would dare slander her name.”
“Eli, get down. You’re making a fool of yourself,” London scolded.
Eli jumped down from his platform. “Good. Because I am a fool for you, London. Now, we have made our appearance and I have dissuaded the scandal of your pregnancy. I say it’s time to leave.” Eli leaned over and took the lobe of Reanna’s ear in his mouth. He then whispered, “There are other entertainments to be found elsewhere. And my bed is the perfect location to show you.”
A longing sensation stirred in Reanna’s loins. She smiled sweetly at her husband. How did she get lucky enough to end up married to this man? He loved her. He protected her. He battled pirates for her. And he embarrassed himself beyond reason for her.
Eli escorted her home. After he thoroughly “entertained” her, she settled in his protective embrace. The baby kicked and she placed Eli’s hand on her abdomen. He smiled as he felt his heir protesting his mother’s current position. Eli laid his head on London’s side as he rubbed her abdomen. He was so happy. London had turned his entire world upside down. He acted a fool for her and would continue to do so. Because of her, a new life would live in the form of his child. And because of her, he found life worth living. She had erased the hatred in his heart and tamed his nightmares. She was the owner of his heart and the keeper of his dreams.
