This looked like much more than a professional relationship to me. Kate seemed to be disciplining him like a boyfriend or a husband. She rolled her eyes at him after telling him not to talk to us. It just seemed like they were way past the point of employer/employee. They looked like lovers trying not to act like lovers.

• Black stretch limo pulled up to the house at Noon. Steve and Kate got in and left town.
  
• Steve Neild gets Kate’s mail at the UPS store in limo.
  
• Steve gets out of limo at kids school and walks Mady and Cara from school to the car. Kate stays hidden.
  
• Two paps and I chase limo at high speeds, eventually ending up in Pittsburgh.
  
• Kate, Steve and kids stopped for dinner at a restaurant in Pittsburgh. Paps left after that.
  
• Limo driver said Kate and Steve were assholes and they were very rude.
  

There were two paps and two reporters circling around today, hoping to get comments from Kate about the TLC situation. She stayed in hiding though. There was no sign of her at all until I saw a black limo going up the road toward the house. I quickly drove up in time to see it pull up to the front door and Kate and Steve came out of the house and got into it. The driver got out of the car but Steve beat him to the door and opened it for Kate and got in behind her and closed it himself. They left the property with two paps and me following them. He drove pretty slowly at first because of the winding country roads but when he reached the highway, he sped up to 75 in a 55. They went to Kate’s UPS store and Steve got out and went inside and got her mail. He glared at me when he walked back to the car. He wasn’t happy about being followed. Once back out on the highway, the driver got back up to high speed again and was weaving in and out of traffic. After thirty minutes, we ended up in Lancaster at Mady and Cara’s school. The limo pulled up near one of the buildings and Steve got out and went inside and a few minutes later, he came out with the girls and loaded them into the limo. Kate still hadn’t been seen at this point. We drove and chased for another hour at high speeds, going over 95 mph at times and I fell behind the paps in their sports cars. I was driving an older SUV and I got hung up at a traffic light after everyone else ran through it by about eight seconds. After that I never caught back up to them. I was in contact with both paps though the whole time by phone. They got on the PA turnpike heading toward Pittsburgh. I got on about five minutes behind them and headed back. There was no way I could stay with the chase. On the turnpike, they reached speeds over 105 mph according to both paps.

They pulled over at a rest stop halfway between Reading and Pittsburgh and everyone got out to go inside for a break. Steve told the driver to stay with the car while
they went inside. He also looked at the paps like “WTF are you still doing following us??”

The driver told the paps that they both (Kate and Steve) were very rude. Steve gave him an address to plug into his GPS and told him “that’s where we’re going” and then he had the divider put up so they had privacy. The driver said “these people suck. They’re total assholes” Once back in the car, the chase was on again – again going over 100 mph weaving in and out of traffic with two kids in the car.

They finally ended up in Pittsburgh at a restaurant. The paps took pictures of them going inside but then decided they’d had enough and began the five-hour trip back home. Both paps were very pissed off that they wasted the trip. They speculated that Kate maybe had a speaking engagement tonight or tomorrow in Pittsburgh or Ohio.

• Steve Neild is the main reason that Kate is happy now. It’s him that she’s talking to on the cell phone all day. It’s like he’s there with her she says.
  

Regarding Steve being at the house for Thanksgiving, the kids told Jon about it and are wondering why Jon won’t be there. One of the little girls asked Steve if he was going to be their new daddy.

Xxxxxx says that “I think Kate is in love with Steve. Steve is the one Kate is talking to on the cell phone all day long and she’s always smiling like a teenager when she’s talking to him at home.” Kate doesn’t talk to her about him but she can hear Kate say Steve this and Steve that while talking to him so she knows it’s him. She told me “the kids love him. He’s so kind and soft-spoken and smart and everyone is so comfortable around him. Steve’s wife comes with him sometimes when he’s here and she and Kate are very friendly but it’s so obvious that they’re having an affair. At the very least they’re having an emotional affair. He’s good for the kids. He’s a strong father figure to them when Jon is not around. They need that in their lives, especially at this age. The twins need to see how a man should really treat a woman and they don’t get that from Jon and Kate.

• Steve Neild and his wife were working in the yard for hours. Seemed very distant.
  

When I was in Maryland watching Steve Neild’s house, he was outside with his wife doing yard work for several hours. Now that I think about it, I don’t recall seeing them make contact with each other in any way. They acted like strangers. She was raking leaves and he was working on the porch and the cars. They looked like a married couple just going through the motions. When I’ve seen Kate with Steve, there’s more of a natural chemistry about them. They look more like a couple than employer/employee. They look so comfortable with each other and they always look happy to be with each other. I’ve seen her give Steve a flirtatious glance here and there and he has that confident grin, like the cat that ate the canary.

• Kate didn’t come home last night. Left the kids with nannies.
  
• Nannies stayed at the house with the kids all day.
  

Kate never came home last night. Nanny stayed with the kids overnight. Nobody had any idea as to where Kate went. I found out later in the day that Kate went to Maryland. Steve lives in Maryland.

• Steve Neild and his wife brought Kate a present for her 35
  th
  birthday which is on Sunday 3/28.
  
• Gina Neild watched the kids today while Kate danced and stayed at the house alone with them after Steve and Kate left in a limo.
  
• Kate took her Land Cruiser to get detailed. Called police to keep paparazzi away.
  

Steve and Gina Neild arrived in their Ford Explorer around 8:30 today carrying what looked like a present for Kate. Tomorrow is her 35
th
birthday. Steve seemed surprised and angry to see the paparazzi camped in front of the house so early. He glared at the group as he was entering through the front gate. Gina didn’t even look over at them.

Kate and Tony rehearsed until 12:30 when he and the crew packed up and left the house. Shortly after they left, Kate and Steve left in their own cars, followed closely by the paps. They drove to a local collision/car detailing shop in Wernersville where Kate was met by a Spring Township policeman who made sure to keep the paps away.

Gina Neild brought the kids outside to play and they ran around like they haven’t been outside in a month. She stood nearby watching over them as they played with their scooters and bicycles and just generally ran around enjoying the fresh air. They didn’t seem bothered by yet another new person watching them while their mom was busy doing something else. It’s a normal part of their lives by now.

A limo arrived at the house around 1 pm and sat in the driveway waiting for over an hour. Finally Kate, Steve and Gina started bringing their bags out and loading them in the car. They had the limo move across the driveway and up to the front door as close as possible to cut off the view from the paps. Gina gave Steve and Kate a big hug before waving goodbye as the limo drove down the driveway and off the property, followed by the paps.

• Kate and the kids arrived home today after almost a week in LA.
  
• Kate left with Steve for NYC after 15 minutes at the house.
  

Kate and the eight kids arrived back home in PA today after almost a week in LA. At 10:15am, two limos arrived at the house. A limo bus was carrying Kate, Steve and Kate’s BFF Jaime and the kids. They were followed by a second limo that would take Kate and Steve to NYC a few minutes later. Judy was at the house when they arrived and she came outside to greet them. All the kids ran to her and gave her big hugs like you would expect a mother to get. Judy spends more time with them than Kate so their bond is very strong. Kate went inside the house with Judy while Steve and the limo driver brought the luggage in the house. The kids looked tired from the trip and happy to be back home. After fifteen minutes inside, Kate and Steve came out and got in the second limo and left for NYC. Kate’s master schedule says DWTS and I know they’re going to be on Regis tomorrow.

Kate hasn’t seen her kids since last Sunday when they left Orlando and returned home. Kate went directly to LA with Steve Neild to prepare for DWTS while a second bodyguard accompanied the kids back to Pennsylvania.

• Kate entertained Steve and Gina Neild, as well as their two sons and a girlfriend at her house on the Fourth of July.
  
• Kate wore a very small bikini while frolicking at her pool with the Neild’s and the kids.
  

Kate entertained the Neild family at her house today, throwing a picnic and pool party in the back yard, keeping mostly out of sight of the paparazzi at the fence. Steve brought his two sons and one of their girlfriends and they all pitched in playing with the kids and helping with the cookout. They grilled on the back patio behind the house and made a bonfire in the back horse paddock where they roasted marshmallows and hot dogs. The kids were running around laughing and having fun, playing hide and seek in and out of the new trees.

Kate wore a skimpy bikini while they were inside the fence at the pool, but walked to the grill and around the back freely, letting it all hang out in front of Steve and Gina and the two teenage boys. We can’t see the pool because of a big wooden fence surrounding it, but we could see a beach ball popping up and down in the pool and hear the music blasting and kids laughing and screaming.

• Kate and Steve went out together at night in Alaska while the kids stayed with another bodyguard.
  

Kate and Steve went out together every night in Alaska while the kids were left with another bodyguard at the hotel. After they came back to the hotel after a day of filming, Kate and Steve would get cleaned up and into fresh clothes and go out on their own with Steve driving. Steve went to great lengths to avoid being followed.

Xxxxxx is sure Kate and Steve are having an affair but has no proof. She said Kate giggles like a school girl around him and they talk on the phone for hours some nights while xxxxxx is there working and Kate’s home. Kate only has one other friend in Jamie, and when she’s not on the phone with her, she’s on the phone with Steve. Kate get’s very annoyed when one of the kids interrupts her while she’s on the phone, which is most of the time that she’s home. Steve has been at the house more frequently than in the past and not only when Kate is traveling. It’s easier for him to go unnoticed by the paps now that all of the new trees have been planted.

• Kate and Steve Neild appeared to be getting romantic on the beach in North Carolina recently.
  

Kate and Steve went out alone every night for walks on the beach while at Bald Head Island. A bodyguard walked nearby making sure no paps got close enough to photograph them.

Xxxxxx told me that they looked like husband and wife on a family vacation and not like a bodyguard guarding his subject. He said he wouldn’t be surprised to hear an announcement soon of Steve leaving his wife and he and Kate being a couple.

• Steve Neild has spent several nights at Kate’s house recently – Too tired to drive back to Maryland after filming.
  

Steve has stayed overnight at Kate’s house several times recently, using the excuse that he was too tired to drive all the way back to Maryland at night after filming.
