About the Author

June Hunt is founder and CEO of
Hope For The Heart
(
www.HopeForTheHeart.org
) and is a dynamic Christian leader who has yielded landmark contributions to the field of Christian counseling. Hope For The Heart provides biblically based counsel in 24 languages and has worked in 60 countries on six continents. June, who celebrated 25 years of ministry in 2011, is also an author, speaker, musician, and has served as guest professor to a variety of colleges and seminaries.

Early family pain shaped June’s heart of compassion. Her bizarre family background left her feeling hopeless and caused June to contemplate “drastic solutions.” But when June entered into a life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ, the trajectory of her life was forever altered. As a result, she grew passionate about helping people face life’s tough circumstances.

As a youth director, June became aware of the need for real answers to real questions. Her personal experiences with pain and her practical experience with youth and parents led June into a lifelong commitment to
Providing God’s Truth for Today’s Problems
. She earned a master’s in counseling at Criswell College in 2007 and has been presented with two honorary doctorates.

Between 1989 and 1992, June Hunt developed and taught
Counseling Through the Bible
, a scripturally based counseling course addressing 100 topics in categories such as marriage and family, emotional entrapments and cults, as well as addictions, abuse, and apologetics. Since then, the coursework has been continuously augmented and refined, forming the basis for the
Biblical Counseling Library
. Her
Biblical Counseling Keys
became the foundation of the ministry’s expansion, including the 2002 creation of the
Hope Biblical Counseling Institute
(BCI) initiated by Criswell College to equip spiritual leaders, counselors, and people with hearts to help others with practical solutions for life’s most pressing problems.

The
Biblical Counseling Keys
provide a foundation for the ministry’s two daily radio programs,
Hope For The Heart
and
Hope In The Night
, both hosted by June.
Hope For The Heart
is a half-hour of interactive teaching heard on over 100 radio outlets across America, and
Hope In The Night

Hope For The Heart
as “Best New Radio Program” and awarded it Radio Program of the Year in 1989. Women in Christian Media presented June Hunt with an Excellence in Communications award in 2008. The ministry received NRB’s Media Award for International Strategic Partnerships in 2010.
