Riefenstahl, L., pp. 141–147. She dates this event to 13 October 1933, when Goebbels was actually in Geneva at the Disarmament Conference to announce Germany’s withdrawal from the League of Nations. Why she chose this date is puzzling, but incorrect dates are by no means unusual in celebrity memoirs. It is unlikely that this event could have happened anywhere around October, because she spends time at Goebbels’s home discussing the Horst Wessel controversy rather than being banished from his presence.
