“I think Joey is otherwise busy out there with all of his friends, don’t you think?” Trigger asked, kissing Devyn gently and planning on enjoying the time he had left. “He’d understand if we’re a little late getting back.”

“Yes, he would,” Devyn replied with a smile, wrapping her arms around Trigger’s neck and pulling him close to her. His lips were inches from hers when she pulled back slightly. Her green eyes were once again shining, although this time they were sparkling with desire. “Have I told you that I appreciate your sense of honor? You came back to fulfill a promise and you’re ending up taking another one with you.”

“And what’s that?” Trigger asked as he brushed his lips across hers.
