Writing vampire books was not something I ever thought I'd do. I didn't 'get' them, I guess. But I also never really tried them. It reminds me of sushi. I grew up on a farm in the country of central Michigan – something like sushi was strange and gross! Then my husband talked me into trying it on our honeymoon cruise. Now I can't get enough of the stuff!
After two books in the Blood Kissed series, I can honestly say I think paranormal vampire romance may be my new sushi! I absolutely love Beth and what she's going through. We're discovering what she can do at the same speed and I'm just as surprised as she is.
I've had a crazy fall and winter. Between when I set First Kiss up and released it, I hit the New York Times and USA Today bestseller list with my inclusion of A Cold Winter's Bite in the A Kiss of Christmas Magic bundle. It's an amazing honor, but even more amazing is the people I've met along the way. Both other writers and readers! It's validation that I really can do this, and that just makes me want to do more and more of it.
So keep an eye out for plenty more to come from me! I've got plans for so many more books that link back to Claimed, Blood Kissed, and more! My hubby has even talked me into writing one with him – as a true collaboration where he brings his style and mine together. That series will be about my paranormal hunters becoming the hunted.
But I'm getting ahead of myself. For now, thank you for enjoying Beth, Penny, John, and everyone else that makes this story come to life. Or life-after-death, in their case.
