Dominic (9 page)

"Are you going to stare at my brothers all day or are you going to come with me?" Dominic asked in an impatient tone.

"If that is a legit question, I vote to stay here and stare at your brothers all day."

Dominic grabbed my hand and pulled me down the hall and away from the view of Alec and Kane.

"It was
really
nice to meet you both," I shouted to them.

"You too," they both shouted back in unison.

I grunted when Dominic and I entered what was obviously the kitchen. He was tugging me along behind him so when he stopped, I collided with his back. I didn't even try to pull my hand from his, because he had a good grip on me.

"'Bout time you showed up. Why are you getting into fights at school Dominic? We don't need attention drawn to us, you fucking
know
this!" a deep voice bellowed.

I froze and decided to stay behind Dominic. That was obviously his eldest brother, Ryder, shouting and I didn't want to be a target of his anger so I stayed put. Also, I wanted to see if he would elaborate on what he just said. I mean,
why
didn't they need attention drawn to them?

"I'm aware of that, and I'm sure Dame already told you why I got into a fight," Dominic replied calmly, getting my attention.

"He did, I just want to hear it from you," the deep voice said.

"He put his hands on her, even if he didn't hurt her I still would have beaten the shit out of him for the names he called her," Dominic said casually.

My stomach was flip-flopping left, right and centre.

What the hell was going on?

"Bronagh?" deep voice inquired.

I stepped out from behind Dominic and waved a little. "Heya."

"I'm Ryder, Dominic and Damien's oldest brother."

Holy shite.

He looked like Matt Bomber, only hotter, because he was covered in tattoos!

"Nice to meet you," I murmured and just flat-out stared at him.

Dominic shook his head at my reaction to his brother, but I didn't care. This family had beautiful genes, like I wasn't going to ogle them.

"How is your face?" Ryder asked me.

I thought about what he asked then touched my face and hissed. "It's sore."

Dominic moved across the room, opened what looked like a freezer and pulled out an ice pack, then grabbed a small hand towel on his way back over to me.

I frowned at him. "You are the one with the cut eyebrow and busted up face, you need the ice more than I do, princess."

Dominic's brothers snorted.

"I like her," Ryder said.

"I like her more and more each time she insults him," Damien chuckled.

"Fuck you both," Dominic grinned as he continued to move towards me.

He turned me around and applied pressure to my back, making me walk forward.

"This is startin' to piss me off, Dominic. Stop pushin' me around. Stop touchin' me altogether!" I snapped.

"That's the appeal then? He wants what he can't have," Ryder said lowly then snorted.

"That, her accent, and I'm sure the fact that she's smoking hot has something to do with it as well," Damien's voice chimed in.

Dominic grunted, and he directed me upstairs. We walked all the way to the fourth floor which I wasn't happy about.

"Why are we comin' up here?" I asked, huffing and puffing.

Dominic laughed from behind me. "Do you do any cardio? You sound like you're going to collapse."

I snarled as I entered the room he directed me to. "No, I don't do cardio; there is a reason I look the way I do, and it's not because I enjoy doin' cardio in me spare time."

"I wasn't saying you need cardio, you look damn fine from where I'm standing-"

"Oh, my God. Stop. Just
stop
!" I suddenly shouted.

Dominic closed the door behind us and just stared at me for a moment.

"Stop what?"

I gaped at him. "Are you serious? Stop being overly nice to me, stop commentin' on me looks and body, and for the love of God stop pushin' me around!"

Dominic rolled his eyes and pointed behind me. "Okay, I will do all that if you sit on my bed so I can ice your face."

I widened my eyes and looked behind me to the kingsize bed; it was bloody huge.

Was he trying to get me into bed?

"Uh…"

I heard Dominic chuckle. "I'm not just trying to get you into my bed; not for the reasons you're probably thinking anyway."

I flushed.

"I wasn't thinkin' anythin'," I lied.

"Go sit down then," he challenged.

I did, and I was stiff as a board while I did it.

"Okay, I'm sat on your bed. Can I have the ice pack now?"

Dominic nodded, wrapped the towel around the ice pack, and carefully placed it on my cheekbone.

I instantly sighed. "That feels good."

"I'm glad," Dominic said as he sat next to me.

I looked at him and frowned. "Do you have a first aid kit?" I asked.

He raised his uncut eyebrow and nodded before he got up and went to his bathroom.

He had one connected to his room!

He came back out with a small first aid kit, sat back beside me, and handed me the kit. I put my ice pack down and stood up; I opened the kit, took out a cleaning gauze and a small bottle of purified water. I soaked the gauze then leaned towards Dominic.

"Stay still," I murmured before I began wiping around his cut eyebrow.

He hissed a little, and it made me smile.

"I'm nearly done, princess."

Dominic snorted and hissed at the same time. He remained still while I wiped away all the dry blood from his face. The cut on his eyebrow was only a little deep and was already clotted, so I just put a clear plaster over it. Then I picked up my ice pack and placed it on his face.

"Thank you," he murmured.

I nodded. "You're welcome."

Those words were the first nice things we had ever said to one another without being sarcastic.

Holy shite!

Dominic lifted his hand and placed it on top of mine on his ice pack. I froze and looked into his eyes, wondering what he was doing. I started to sweat when his other hand touched my back and pulled me close to him. My heart picked up its pace and began to pound into my ribs.

"Dominic, what are you doin'?" I asked, my voice trembling.

"Why do you call me Dominic?" he asked me, ignoring my question and my trembling.

My mind was getting all mushy, and my stomach was fluttering with butterflies.

"Because it's your name."

He grinned. "Everyone calls me Nico though, only my brothers call my Dominic."

I shrugged. "I'm not like everyone else."

He pulled me closer to him then.

"You torment me," he whispered to me. His scent filled my nose making me feel a little lightheaded.

"You started it," I snapped through my slight swaying.

He grinned at me and said, "I don't mean it like that; I mean you do torment me on a daily basis, but you torment me constantly, day
and
night."

I just looked at him in confusion which made him laugh.

"Bronagh, you get under my skin, you make me crazy," he clarified.

What? How is that possible?

I ignored him as much as I could at school and when he got too close to me, I physically and verbally assaulted him. I'm not saying I'm proud of it… but I'm also not saying I wouldn't do it again.

I narrowed my eyes at him. "Did you bring me up here just to tell me how much I annoy you? Because if you did, you could have done it back at school and saved me walkin' all the way up here."

He kissed me!

Correction, he was currently kissing me.

I opened my mouth to protest but instead of words leaving my mouth, I moaned, and a warm, wet tongue entered. I dropped my hand away from the ice pack and Dominic caught it and grabbed my other hand and pulled me onto him. I then felt his hands go under my school skirt and land on the back of my bare thighs before he hoisted me up onto him.

I gasped and then groaned when he nibbled on my bottom lip. He positioned me so I was straddling him. His left arm was tightly wrapped around my waist while his right arm was lower, and I found out why it was lower down when his hand slid around my right arse cheek.

"Dominic!"

I was shocked in myself at how that came out; it was meant to be sobering, but it sounded like a soft moan.

Dominic growled into my mouth, then he captured it with another kiss. My hands found their way to his hair, and when I twisted my fingers around his dark locks he stood up with me still wrapped around him. He turned us and lay me down on the bed with his body hovering over me.

I know this wasn't my first kiss, but it felt like it was because all I could do was feel, and I felt so good with Dominic kissing me.

He stopped kissing me long enough to sit up and pull his t-shirt from his body. I blew out a breath when I caught sight of his toned and tanned chest followed by his visible abs and very visible V line. He must work the fuck out too!

My eyes flicked to his right side and I groaned; he had a tribal tattoo curling from his ribs around to his back and up onto his shoulder. It looked like it wasn't finished though and that it was going to be a tribal tattoo sleeve down the length of his right arm.

Jesus, help me.

"Sit up," Dominic ordered, his voice husky.

I did, and when he lifted my school jumper from my body and starting unbuttoning my school shirt, I didn't stop him. My mind was literally screaming that this wasn't right, and I wasn't the type of girl to do this stuff with someone I didn't really know. My body replied with a simple 'fuck you' and won the battle.

"So fucking hot," Dominic growled when he pulled my shirt away from me.

I couldn't believe I was letting this happen. I was aware of what was going to happen if I let this continue on, but I chose to let it. It might be wrong but at this moment and time, it didn't feel wrong.

Dominic reached around to unhook my bra straps but at this exact time, his bedroom door opened.

"Dominic, are you coming for a run with - oh shit, sorry."

I screamed and covered myself up even though Dominic's body was hiding me from view.

"Alec, bro, get the fuck out!" Dominic bellowed, looking over his shoulder.

"Leaving," Alec said, as the door clicked shut.

I closed my eyes and could only imagine what Alec thought. From his view, he would have seen Dominic's bare back with my bare legs wrapped around the back of his because my skirt was rising up.

"Oh, my God," I whispered.

"I'm sorry about that, babe. Now where were we?" Dominic asked in a seductive tone.

Was he serious?

"I was about to get dressed and go home," I answered and pushed him back off me.

I was red faced as I scrambled around picking up my school shirt and school jumper. I quickly got my shirt back on and buttoned and fixed it into my skirt, then pulled my jumper over my head. I picked up my school bag and put the straps over my shoulders.

I moved towards the door without speaking to Dominic, and this made him mad.

"You're just going to leave, just like that?" he snapped.

I didn't look at his face, just at his still bare torso. "This is wrong, we don't even like each other so we shouldn't be kissin' or doin' anythin' other than ignorin' each other. I appreciate what you did for me today; I
really
do but that won't fix anythin', I still don't like you."

Dominic frowned. "I get that but I thought that we could hash it out-"

"By havin' sex?" I gasped.

"Uh, that's a good a way as any but-"

"You arsehole! You thought by seducin' me it would make me magically
not
hate you?" I shouted then widened my eyes. "Is that what you meant this mornin' when you said you would get me back without physically hurtin' me? You wanted to take my virginity when you knew I would regret that, and it would hurt me emotionally? Is
that
what is happenin' here?"

Dominic shook his head. "No, no, I'm saying this all wrong, babe-"

"Don't call me that. Get the hell out of me way, now!" I bellowed.

Dominic did move, but he had his own eyes narrowed now. "Stop being such a crazy bitch and just
listen
to me-"

"Oh, that's a great way to get a girl to listen, call her names," I spat sarcastically as I stormed down the flights of stairs.

When I got to the bottom of the stairs, Dominic suddenly jumped around me. The sight of his bare back and his tattoo before he turned around tormented me. It was rippled with muscle, and for some reason I wanted to bite him.

"Will you just
stop
, you're overreacting right now."

"Bro, you don't
ever
say that to an angry woman. Especially not an angry
Irish
woman," a voice whispered from my right.

"Fuck off, Kane," Dominic snapped without looking away from me.

"Why wouldn't I overreact? You have been a bloody dick to me ever since I met you, and now, all of a sudden, you want to hash things out between us by havin' sex? You're a class A fuckin' arsehole!" I snarled and slapped him across the face.

I felt bad because his face was already swollen and starting to bruise, but that feeling went away when he said what he did a few seconds later.

"You know what? I thought you would be somewhat nice to me for doing you a favour by defending you today, but I guess you really are an ice-cold bitch. No wonder nobody at school wants to be your friend. Get the fuck out, no pussy is worth this bullshit."

Pussy? That's all I was?

Of course I was, why else would he do what he did and say all that bullshit to me?

He was trying to get laid and hoped to hurt me in the process, the fucking bastard.

I hated that my eyes welled up, but I hated even more that Dominic noticed it and rolled his eyes.

"If you want to do me a favour then stay the fuck away from me," I said in a cold tone before turning and walking away.

I paused at the door when I opened it. It was raining out, but that wasn't why I stopped. I looked over my shoulder and smiled at Dominic, ignoring the fact that all his brothers were watching and listening from out of the sitting room/gym room doorway.
