Daimon (7 page)

"Are you sure?" Jerard asked, his concern evident in his voice.

Daimon clasped Gene's hand, rubbing it against his cheek before kissing it tenderly.

"I love you," he whispered, his eyes fixed on the Lycan.

For all that Daimon was a demon of sexual rapaciousness, his eyes let his true emotion show through. Daimon tilted his throat just a fraction, and watched the Lycan's nostrils flare as Daimon permitted his lover to scent him, and grinned at Gene's elation. His scent was as irrevocably altered as Leland's, denoting Daimon as mated and Bound to Gene.

"I love you too," he replied, turning the hand holding his to kiss it in turn.

"I think it's safe to say that Gene will be with me for the foreseeable future," Daimon said, letting his tone become a sensual caress on Gene's ear that made the other man shiver.

"I want to get to know Daimon better," Gene said. "I want him to meet my family without me being on call for any pack issues."

Daimon was delighted and gave Gene as look of pure licentiousness that caused his lover to become instantly erect. As Gene gave a low, warning growl, Daimon simply offered a sultry smile in return.

"I thought to notify my deputy to take my place, and Talbot would be a very suitable stand-in to cover your, and my, absence," Gene said.

"Then all's settled," Jerard said.

"Gene, my love, would you pop across to the kitchen and put some coffee on for our guests before they go?" Daimon asked. "Leland, angel, your things are still in the room upstairs. Why not nip up now and get them?"

He watched Gene disappear in a rustle of black silk and the blond Lycan bound happily away, before turning a serious mien to the two remaining males.

"If either of you hurt Leland, I will know it and will not hesitate to take things into my own hands. He will always have a special place in my heart even though that heart now belongs to Gene." He favoured them with a look, so at odds with his normal, easy-going appearance that it caused both men to sit up straighter and acknowledge him.

As Gene and Daimon waved farewell to their guests, Daimon grinned and Gene moaned appreciatively. Daimon's tail had snaked sinuously beneath the sheet Gene wore and teased at his lover's erection.

"Bed me. I want to feel you possessing me," Daimon whispered into Gene's ear.

"Then why are we still standing here?" Gene asked with a throaty groan

They materialised in his bed, and Daimon stretched and sighed as Gene began to kiss across his chest, teasing and tugging at his nipples and their rings. Now when horny, Daimon had his own beautiful Lycan lover to keep him satisfied.

Sometimes life became very, very good.
