Definitions:

Cyrosphere which I didn’t previously define in the first book. Cyro is the root word for time, which is spelled chro. Sphere is a circle or orb, so Ginger’s powers to control time is a central theme to be further explored along with her journey.

Dedication:

Once again I’d like to thank God for my talent. My mom and dad, who are constantly supporting me and encouraging me to pursue my dreams. My most important inspiration is my wacky, complicated dreams that fill my head with all kinds of wonderful stories. To my friends who have been supporting me by purchasing all my books. And lastly, to Aaliyah who I constantly put on repeat when need to grasps at inspiration. She is an angel that I hope touch you all with her words, like they do for me. The depth in which leaves my soul  inspired to write. She will always be in my heart and I can’t wait to tell her (spirit) how much joy she brings into my life. - Deandre

Cyrosphere 2: Lives Entangled

Chapter One:

Ginger sat in the sand on the beach in total disbelief. First her parents forget to mention she was a full blooded witch, and not a demon. That was bad enough, but to hear she had demon blood in her so it turns out she is part demon.

She thought, “WTF moment times infinity.”

Everything she knew was turned upside down. Ginger was having a difficult time processing all this information, and to make matters worst she couldn’t trust Malcolm. He was suppose to be her friend, but he knew her secret all along and worse yet was this part of the stupid prophecy.

The prophecy that could or could not be about her. She was the savior, or messiah for the worlds. No pressure what so ever for a 17 year old And if it wasn’t her, then if could be her new friend / housemate Stacey. Stacey Darkholme maybe 18, but that huge weight would then be place on her shoulders.

Ginger mumbled to herself, “Just inanity.”

It hopefully it wasn’t Stacey or her, what about Penny or some other pool soul. No one should have a destiny this monumental. No wonder M. L. K. Junior or King Arthur wanted to change the world when were placed with destiny in their path.

I just want a normal existence. Is that too much to ask for. Apparently with the death of her parents, taking with them her innocence and freedom. The freedom of choice and opportunity for a life of choosing.

Her pocket began to buzz.

Ginger wondered, “Who could that be? Another deep dark secret coming out of the closet to destroy the last ounce of happiness I have.”

She sighed, puling out her phone to see that Frost was calling. Did she dare answer. Hitting answer, just trusting her instincts.

Ginger asked, “Where are you?”

Frost replies, “Just leaving my professor’s office. I had a question about an upcoming paper. What’s up?”

Ginger bit her lower lip and decided to come clean and said, “Can you meet me now?”

A pause.

She thought, “Was he contemplating telling
Crystal? What else didn’t I know about my bestfriend?”

Frost answers, “Sure, where are you?”

She jots off directions to the beach and sits, taking in
Malibu. Ginger had never been here before, but always heard such lovely things about this location. Out of the blue, she choose here and so she was waiting to confided in the one person she hoped she could trust.

Chapter Two:

Thirty minutes later at a close by café, Ginger had ordered a tea and began to explain everything to Frost in a dark corner. The look of disbelief crushed her heart.

Frost her lifelong friend had found love or lust with that fairy Crystal tanner. The girl was hired by Malcolm to look into Ginger’s past. What really bugged Ginger was the fact that she couldn’t help but wonder the girl’s motivation.

Frost asks, “So you confronted Crystal an hour ago?”

Ginger nods and answers, “Yeah. I would have swore she’d call you by now to relay the information.”

Frost counters, “Perhaps not. Maybe she doesn’t like me. She is just using me for information on you.”

Ginger says, “Doubtful. One, you’re a great guy. Two I didn’t pick up any spiteful or vindictive thoughts.”

Frost chuckles and responds, “I thought you couldn’t read her thoughts.”

Ginger replies, “I was able to earlier. My powers are still expanding, so who knows if a glitch or what.”

He nods and sip his coffee. Ginger turns to state at their ocean view from café window.

She thought, “Living here must be peaceful and easy. Carefree. Without a worry in the world.”

Ginger sighed because that was her old life and that was shattered awhile back.

Frost asks, ‘What you going to do now?”

Ginger replies, “Find out who it was that gave me demon blood. I should be told the truth by someone, so why not my biological demon donor.”

Frost looked disgusted as he tosses his coffee. She busted out laughing at her gross out expression.

He responds, “What’s so funny?”

Ginger stops laughing and points at him before saying, “You. The look of sickness crossed on your face is priceless .What else should I call this person?”

Frost shrugged and answers, “No idea. This is a new one for me.”

Ginger states, “Exactly. So Give Crystal a second chance before you toss her away.”

Frost considers it. Ginger can tell by his thoughts as she heads home with a thousand questions on her mind.

Chapter Three:

Going back home to the Darkholme mansion in the Westchester area felt so normal. Her life was anything but that right now. Somehow she felt at ease in their home and apart of their family. Aaron had flexible hours, so he was in the kitchen making brownies and enchiladas.

The man was so domestic and calming. Ginger loved that he felt like a segregate uncle. Yvette was still at work, but Stacey will be home in less that an hour. Ginger hoped to recruit Stacey for help in her search.

Aaron asks, “Do did you pass?”

Ginger answers, “What?”

Aaron replies with a raised eyebrow, “The test.”

Ginger responds, “Oh, right. I have no idea. It slipped my mind once I went to the beach with Frost.”

Aaron nodded his head. A brief pause and she looked at his profile. Trying to be respectful. She developed barriers to keep out of friends and family’s thoughts.

He always seemed at ease, but his posture told a totally different story. Aaron was worried about her.

Ginger thought, “And he has good reason to be concerned about my well being.”

Aaron asks, “Do you want to share anything with me?”

Ginger says, “Yes.”

He wait’s a beat.

Ginger responds, “I love enchiladas. They are one of my favorite dishes. I appreciate you cooking.”

He smirks and replies, “It was no trouble at all. I now can’t wait for dinner. Hopefully you’ll be more lively then. That test must have drained you. Head on up for a nap.”

She smiled to herself, such a dad responds. Ginger went upstairs to lay down, good advice into Stacey got home.

Chapter Four:

An hour and thirty-two minutes later, Ginger awoke feeling dizzy. She groggily got out of the bed and went down the hall to the bathroom. She used it, wash up and splashed water on her face to fully wake up.

She excited feeling like herself and sent her thoughts out to find Stacey. Stacey was downstairs in the work-out room. The room had state of the art equipment and was very impressive. The girl was running on a treadmill with ear-buds in her ears. No doubt listening to some kick-ass band like Metallica, AFI, Green Day, or Incubus.

Beads of sweat glided from Stacey’s face as she was running like her life depended on it. Her stride was flawless and Ginger was sure her time was out of this world.

Before Ginger could move a foot, Stacey slowed down the machine and hopped off. She wiped her face on the towel hanging off the machine, and guzzles the bottle of water besides her.

Stacey asks, “Need to talk?”
