Chase, Zara - Tigers' Temptation [Impulse 2] (Siren Publishing Ménage Everlasting) (20 page)

“Do you know how humiliating it is to pour your heart out to a guy and have your advances rejected?”

“You don’t understand, darlin’. I—”

“For heaven’s sake, just take a chance and go for what you want.” She dealt him a challenging glance. “I never had you pegged for a coward.”

“Me neither,” Philo said quietly.

Mikael’s eyes locked with hers across the reduced space that now separated them. As he watch the passion flitting across her beautiful face, something inside him unlocked, allowing a whole gambit of forbidden emotions to flood his psyche. Emotions he’d refused brain space to for many years. He became submerged in the stillness of a moment that sucked the air out of the room, making it as hard for him to breathe as it was for Layla when she stepped outside. He could change that for her, simply by taking her to that petal-strewn bed and filling her with his love, with his seed. Why did he always have to be so cautious? His habit of analyzing every situation to death was inbred, but sometimes worked against him because he’d become incapable of acting impulsively.

Mikael glanced at Philo, who was watching the scene unfolding with an air of bridled expectancy. Layla was right. He did want her, so much that the pain of denying himself was almost worse than that which he’d endured when he cured little Amy.

If she had a change of heart in a month or two’s time, it would shatter his own heart.

But there were no guarantees in this life. As a doctor, no one knew that better than he did. Their enemies could raid at any time and kill the lot of them. Layla could actually mean what she said and bring unbridled joy to his and Philo’s lives, making them complete. Even if she
did
walk out after a while, didn’t his old granddaddy always tell him it was better to be a has-been than a never-was?

It was time to throw caution to the ions and live for the moment.

He nodded just once to Philo, who beamed his approval, extended his claws, and punched the air with them. Grinning, Mikael opened his arms wide. Layla flew into them, pressing her delectable body tightly against his, tears leaking from the corners of her eyes. He lowered his head and their mouths fused in a heart-stopping kiss of such raw, desperate carnality that Mikael broke it almost as soon as it started. There were formalities to go through first, and, having waited so long to find his soul mate, Mikael wanted to do this right.

“Glad you made me see what was under my eyes the whole time,” he said softly. “I love you.”

“Me, too,” she said as he ceded his place to Philo, who kissed Layla long and deep.

Mikael sat on the edge of the bed, fatigued from his rounds in the clinic and from standing for so long to argue Layla out of his bed. He hoped that in a very short space of time, sex with her would put him on the road to full recovery of his strength and his powers. Even so, what had once been so important seemed like a mere fringe benefit now. What really mattered was to demonstrate to Layla—to their new mate—how much they both loved her. How much he, Mikael, personally regretted making her beg for what he’d always known in his heart was the right thing to do.

“That dress is lovely, darlin’,” he said, sending Layla a slow, sexy smile, “but it’s served its purpose. Take it off for us.”

Philo sat beside him on the edge of the bed and together they watched their mate-to-be as she dealt with the tiny row of buttons on the side of the lacy dress. She stepped out of it, cast it aside, and gave them a twirl in her basque, stockings, and thigh-length boots.

“Christ!” Philo breathed.

“Exactly,” Mikael agreed, nodding with appreciation. “Have you any idea how goddamned sexy you look in that basque, sweetheart?”

“Hmm, Irena said it would work.”

Philo grinned. “Leave it to Irena to cut to the chase.”

They stood up and shed their clothes, both rigidly erect.

“I see one part of you isn’t lacking in vitality,” she said, grinning as she nodded toward Mikael’s solid cock.

“Yeah,” Philo agreed. “That’s interesting. Must be the last part of his anatomy to lose its power. Why am I not surprised?”

“Kneel before us, Layla, and bow your head,” Mikael said. “There’s a small ceremony first.” She did as they asked, her entire body seeming to quiver with expectation. “Do you swear by all that you hold most sacred to be our mate, true only to us, for the rest of your days?”

“I do,” she said in a decisive tone.

“We love you, Layla Dubois, and pledge our lives to keeping you safe and happy.”

They each placed a hand on top of her head and a bolt like a mild electric current passed through them to consume her entire body. She trembled, which implied that the charge had taken hold and coiled itself deep in her gut. Others had described it as feeling as though a missing part of them had just woken from a long sleep.

“What just happened?” she asked, blinking up at them.

Philo extended a hand, pulling her easily to her feet and into his arms. “We just made you ours, committed ourselves to you, and shared our love with you.”

Mikael presented her with a velvet box. She gasped when he opened it and handed her a collar studded with brilliant yellow gems.

“What are these beautiful stones?” she asked, touching them as he fastened the collar around her neck.

“Rare fire opals,” Mikael explained. “Opals can express every color in the visible spectrum, but these are special because they reflect the color of a tiger’s eye.”

“Unless you’re a rare tiger like me,” Philo said, grinning.

“There’s always an exception to every rule,” Mikael said, rolling his eyes. “We selected these stones years ago with you in mind, even though we didn’t know who you actually were back then. We just knew you were in this universe somewhere, and that the day would come when we’d eventually find you.”

“That’s so lovely.”

“You’re lovely.” Mikael kissed her. “Anyway, now the whole of Impulse will know that you belong to us.”

“Er, not quite,” Philo reminded them, glancing at the bed and fisting his erection.

“How could I forget?” Mikael, feeling weary yet elated, lay flat on his back and beckoned to Layla. “Come here.”

She sat on the edge of the bed. “Yes,” she said softly, seeming shy and uncharacteristically subservient, as though she knew what he was about to say.

“In this room there are rules, darlin’. Philo and I are in charge and whatever we ask you to do, you do it without question. Are you happy with that?” He smiled at her. “I know you’re not big on taking orders.”

She mangled her lower lip between her teeth, but a grin still escaped. “Depends on what I’m being ordered to do.”

“We’re virgins when it comes to women, as you know. But that doesn’t mean we don’t know how to make one happy.”

“We’ve had enough time to plan our campaign,” Philo added.

“We like to play hard and rough, but we promise never to hurt you and if we do anything you don’t like, you only have to ask us to stop, and we’ll quit immediately.”

“Thanks.” She ran her fingers down the length of Mikael’s thigh. “I can’t imagine that situation arising, but it’s good to know there’s a safety net in place.”

“We’ll still carry on fucking each other, Philo and I.” Mikael reached out to touch his buddy. “I love him as much as I love you. Nothing’s changed there, except you’re welcome to join in, like you did before. The thing is, we’ve had this fantasy for decades about fucking our mate at the same time, cunt and anus.” He paused, worried that she might be appalled by the idea. “Will you let us do that to you, darlin’?”

She gulped. “Sure, I’d love to experiment, but you’re both so huge that—”

Philo chuckled. “Don’t worry, babe, women’s bodies are built to expand.”

“That far?”

“Honey,” Mikael said, “we’ll get you so worked up that you won’t know which way is up. You’ll be so desperate for it by the time we’ve finished tormenting you that you’ll take us both with ease.”

“And that’s a promise,” Philo added.

“But first things first.” Mikael leant up on one elbow. “I can’t do much when I’m all weak like this, but you can help me out with that. Once you restore some of my strength you’ll find out what I can really do for you.”

“Yes, sir.”

“Actually, we’d prefer it if you addressed us as
master
in the bedroom, but
sir
will do almost as well.”

“Yes, master.” Layla straddled Mikael’s body and pushed gently with one hand until he was flat on his back again. “Since you’re so weak
and
you’ve never fucked a woman before, I think I’d best do all the work.”

Mikael chuckled, reaching up to remove the clip from her hair and watching as it cascaded over her face and tumbled down to brush against his.

“No arguments this end,” he said. “Go right ahead and have your wicked way with me, wench.”

Layla leaned in, still wearing her soft leather boots, and claimed his lips in a drugging kiss. Her lips were still shiny and wet with mauve gloss. Mikael made it his mission to kiss it clean away, and didn’t waste any time setting about his assignment. Damn it, their little tigress was more tempting than she had any right to be! He crushed her mouth beneath his as his hands wandered to her bare ass and kneaded the firm globes. She made some unintelligible noise around the kiss, which he took to be pleasure. He removed one hand and homed in on a breast. Shit, the basque was too tight, preventing him from delving inside the cups and touching her nipples.

“I’m on it,” Philo said.

He loosened the ties at the back of the basque until there was room for Mikael’s fingers to creep inside. He extended one of his long, vicious claws and used it to circle her areola, careful not to scratch her delicate skin. Philo loved it when he used his claws on him. Judging from the way that Layla’s mouth opened beneath his, making it even easier for his tongue to tangle with hers, she felt the same way.

Mikael encountered Philo’s hand massaging the buttock he’d just released. He briefly covered Philo’s fingers with his own and then returned his attention to their bride.

“You’ve got us both playing with your ass now, darlin’,” Philo purred in her ear as she returned Mikael’s kiss. “I bet that sweet pussy of yours is just dripping with anticipation.” He obviously put that theory to the test, lips smacking together as he sucked his fingers dry of her juices. “Yep, I was right. You sure do taste sweet, babe.” Mikael heard Philo’s hand come down hard on her ass. “But no one said you could leak all over our bedsheets. Naughty, Layla!”

She tried to break the kiss and respond to Philo’s taunt, but Mikael wasn’t ready to let her go. His lithe tiger tongue worked its way farther down her throat, and he was still clawing playfully at her rock-hard nipple. Layla to let out a series of cute, needy moans that made Mikael’s heart soar. He’d waited a long time to hear his mate respond to him with such unbridled enthusiasm.

It was Mikael’s turn to moan when Philo’s hand closed around his balls and squeezed. Layla wrenched her lips from his and kissed her way down his throat, pausing when she got to his chest to suckle one of his nipples. The two of them homing in on his most sensitive areas had Mikael thrashing his head from side to side, desperately wanting to delay the moment, equally desperate to feel himself inside Layla’s wet warmth and regain some of his power. He was too weak to hold out for much longer. He needed to fuck her, and to fuck her now. He grabbed her hips and guided her toward the head of his penis.

“You know what I need, babe,” he said in a throaty whisper. “Make me feel better, honey. I’m hurting pretty bad right now.”

“I’ll help you both,” Philo said. “Just so you know, buddy, I’m parting her slick folds so you can thrust right on in there.” Philo’s other hand came to guide Mikael inside. “Sink down on him, darlin’. He needs what you’ve got for him.”
