“Cain,” Faith panted as her hips lifted
to meet his mouth. “I need this, please! I need to cum!” she
whimpered desperately.
“Tell me who you belong to first,” he
replied darkly, flicking her pink clit with a lash of his tongue. “Who
does this drenched pussy belong to, Faith?” he asked again, pursing his lips
over her engorged little bud and sucking gently. “Tell me and I’ll let
you cum, baby!” he promised darkly, lapping her juices as the slid from her
needy pussy.
“You! It belongs to you!” she
admitted frantically, her hips churning against his mouth as his tongue speared
her. Screaming hoarsely as he fucked her with his tongue, she pressed a
fist to her mouth to try and quell her whimpers.
Alternately tonguing her tight channel
and nipping her sensitive clit, he pushed her body toward release. He
grunted and growled as he ate her pussy like a man starving for his last
meal. He couldn’t get enough of her, and the sounds she made as his lips
moved over her only inflamed him, driving him to make her as crazy as he
felt. Thrusting two fingers into her heat, he felt her pussy clamp around
his fingers. Licking her clit furiously, he knew she was seconds away
from combusting in his arms. “That’s it, baby,” he urged thickly.
“Work that pussy around my fingers,” he praised, feeling the ripples begin deep
inside her body. “Fuck yeah!” he growled as her nectar flooded his hand
and she orgasmed around his fingers. His tongue caught her essence on his
tongue and he savored as her cries built to a fever pitch.
Faith’s pleasure was
indescribable. Wave after wave of sensation assaulted her as she pulsed
around him. The wet slide of his tongue sliding over her clit only
heightened the acute bliss. “Cain! Cain, yes! YES!” she
screamed, throwing her head back as her release pummeled her senses.
Rising to his feet and staring into her
dilated eyes, his jaw clenched as the need to fuck her hard and deep pierced
him. “Tell me that you’re still on the pill,” he demanded roughly as his
cock flexed between them against her abdomen. “I’m going to fuck you
either way, Faith, but I’ll pull out if I need to.”
“I’m c-covered,” she breathed as she
witnessed the fierce hunger in his flashing eyes.
“Thank Christ,” he growled, palming her
ass and lifting her against the wall. “I need you hard and deep, baby,”
he confided against her mouth. “Hang on, Sweetheart. I’m desperate
for you,” he bit out, gripping his throbbing dick and lining it up against her
entrance before thrusting balls-deep in her tight pussy. Nipping her
swollen lower lip, he groaned loudly against her ear as her soft walls gripped
his cock.
Faith cried out as his cock speared her,
impaling himself in her convulsing pussy. “Yes,” she moaned, clawing his
shoulders as she lifted her hips and wriggled against him, trying to draw him
deeper. “Fuck me, Cain,” she begged, dragging her teeth against his
corded neck.
Hitching her higher against the wall,
Cain pounded into her heat, setting a fast, driving rhythm that had them both
moaning in seconds. She was impossibly tight and so wet that his dick
felt like it took a steam bath each time he sank into her. It was just as
heavenly as he remembered. Her scalding depths burned his cock, and he
surged inside her, his hips moving like pistons as every stroke brought them
both closer to the edge.
“So fucking good,” he growled, claiming
her mouth for a deep kiss. Sucking her tongue as he pinned her against
the wall and fucked in and out of her channel, he felt her ripple around his
dick. “That’s it, baby,” he crooned as he held her ass in his hands and
she writhed wantonly over his dick, “Rock those hips against me. You’ve
missed my cock as much as I’ve missed this sweet little cunt, haven’t
you?”
Oh, sweet Lord, she’d forgotten how much
his dirty talk ratcheted up her desire. Whimpering as he lunged inside
her and nailed her G-spot with his cock, she nodded. “Yesyesyesyesyes!”
she chanted as her pussy contracted around his thick stalk. “I love your
cock!” she babbled mindlessly, bouncing on his dick as her cunt tried to drag
him more deeply inside her body.
He grunted as her pussy pulsed around
him and he felt her nectar gush from her body, bathing his cock in her
incredible heat. “Ah, fuck, baby! Just like that!” he groaned
against her neck, powering through her slick tunnel as he felt his balls
tighten. “Ride my cock,” he demanded harshly, lifting and dropping her
ass over his thick length. “Shit, I’m close, baby,” he warned as the ache
in his balls intensified. “I want you with me when I blow,” he muttered
as he covered her lips and slid one hand between them.
Faith keened as his thumb brushed her
clit, rubbing tight little circles around the slick nub. “CAIN!” she
squealed as her pussy tightened around his cock. “I’m gonna cum again!”
“Yeah, Sweetness! Cum for
me! Cum all over my cock,” he encouraged her harshly, his own back
stiffening as his release began to rise within him.
Faith screamed into his mouth as she
quaked with the force of a second orgasm. Tightening her arms around his
neck, her body shook as her pussy contracted around his cock. Moaning low
in her throat, she tore her lips from his to gasp for air. “Oh,
Goooooddddd!”
“Yes! Yes! Yes!” Cain bit out,
grunting with every word. Locking his knees as he lunged into her heat
one last time, he felt his cock flex as his semen shot from his body, bathing
her womb with long blasts of his cum. Burying his face against her neck,
he let the pleasure overwhelm him as his seed soaked her pussy. His arms
shook as they held her and her quick breaths fell against his ear as they both
came down from their high.
“Fuck, Faith,” he panted seconds later,
turning his head to claim her parted lips for a gentle kiss. “That was
incredible.”
“This was always incredible between us,”
she admitted huskily before returning his kiss, her own flushed body slowly
cooling.
Reluctantly, he gently pulled his
softening cock from the haven of her body and lowered her back to her feet,
keeping his arms wrapped around her until he was certain she’d found her
balance. Staring into her eyes for a long minute as she leaned against
the wall catching her breath, he gently stroked her face and tucked a strand of
hair behind her ear. “You know I still love you,” he whispered, meeting
her crystal blue gaze.
Swallowing hard, Faith nodded and then
stared down at the floor. “I know. I just wish you wouldn’t say
it,” she responded with a shake of her head. “I’m just not sure what that
means anymore, Cain, and those words from you only confuse me more,” she
acknowledged painfully.
Nodding, Cain closed his eyes as he
tucked his cock back into his jeans, zipping his fly quickly. “I
understand, honey.”
How?” Faith asked him sadly. “How
can you understand it when I don’t?” she continued, taking her t-shirt when he
held it out to her with a shaking hand.
Sighing, Cain knelt in front of her to
help her slide her shorts back up her legs. Her thong was a lost
cause. He’d torn it when he’d ripped it off her body. Stepping back
as she fastened her shorts with trembling fingers, he ran a hand through his
sweaty hair as he closed his eyes. “I hurt you, Faith. I’ve hurt you more
than I ever meant to and worse than I’d ever imagined. I have to live
with that for the rest of my life. I was a coward and an
idiot. You don’t trust me not to hurt you again, and loving me back
doesn’t guarantee you that I won’t fuck everything up again. I get that,
Sweetheart. I’ll wait as long as it takes to gain back that trust and
hear you say those words back to me again. Just don’t ask me not to tell
you that I love you. For me, loving you is as much a fact of life as
knowing the sun will rise again in the morning.”
“I need time to think,” Faith said
huskily, staring at him, the satisfied hum of her body in turmoil with the
sudden depression overtaking her mind.
Nodding, Cain sighed and shoved his
hands in the back pockets of his jeans to keep from reaching for her. “I
figured as much.”
“I’m sorry I can’t tell you what you
want to hear,” Faith whispered, regret suddenly invading her very being.
She didn’t know why she felt the need to apologize to him. Probably
because she could feel his pain rolling off his body in thick waves.
Blinking back tears, she struggled to keep her composure. “We shouldn’t
have done this. I shouldn’t have let it happen.”
“But it did happen, and I’m not sorry,
honey,” Cain replied gently, reaching out for the barest second before letting
his hand drop. “We needed each other.”
“It’s only made everything more mixed up
than it already was,” Faith countered tiredly. “That’s not fair to either
of us.”
“Life isn’t fair, Faith. People
make mistakes. I should know. I made a huge one six months
ago. All we can do is learn from them and move forward from there.
Come on, sweetheart. I’ll walk you to your car and follow you home.
Then, we won’t talk about this again until you’re ready. I made you a
promise, and I’ll honor it.”
She couldn’t help the look of disbelief
she gave him. He’d already disappointed her once.
“Faith, I won’t break another promise to
you ever again. I swear,” he offered quietly, holding out his hand to
her. “Come on, honey. Let’s get you home.”
Releasing a long breath, Faith slowly
slipped her hand into his and let him pull her against his side.
And as she leaned her head against his
chest, she wondered how she was ever going to wade through the confusing mess
her life had become.
Stepping inside the McKinnon
kitchen half an hour later, Faith was startled to find her oldest sister still
awake and sipping tea at the table in the middle of the room.
“Faith?” Harmony frowned as she looked up
from the paperback book she’d been reading. “You’re early,” she remarked,
glancing at the face of the clock above the sink. “I didn’t figure you’d
be home for a couple more hours.”
Closing the door behind her, Faith
smiled tightly. “It was a long night for me,” she murmured, blushing as
she tried to control her wavering voice.
Squinting out the kitchen window,
Harmony raised an eyebrow. “Was that Cain following you home?” she asked
as she watched red taillights disappear down their driveway.
Nodding, Faith felt her blush
deepen. “Yeah,” she admitted hoarsely.
Crossing her arms over her chest,
Harmony stared at her sister. “What gives, Faith? I can tell by the
look on your face that something happened. Are you okay? I swear to
God, I’ll kill Cain myself if he’s done something else to hurt you,” she
threatened darkly, her dark eyes flashing dangerously.
Glancing into the darkened living room,
Faith whispered, “Where’s Honor?” The last thing she wanted to do was
traumatize her baby sister with her sex life, but she desperately needed to
talk to someone that would understand. Married and subsequently divorced,
she knew Harmony would at least hear her out without judgment.
“Already in bed,” Harmony
answered. “She had a headache. Heaven’s asleep, too. It’s
just you and me, kiddo.”
“Thank God,” Faith breathed, dropping
her purse on the floor and sagging against the counter. “You wouldn’t
believe the night I’ve had,” she told her sister with a tiny shake of her
head. “Harmony, I don’t know what I’m doing anymore. I really
don’t. I feel like I’m spinning out of control and can’t catch ahold of
anything that’s steady and real. I’m afraid to trust my instincts.
They’ve already failed me once before,” she groaned, shoving a hand through her
hair and tightening digging her nails into her scalp.
“Okay,” Harmony soothed. “Sit down
and start from the beginning,” she ordered gently. “We’ll figure things
out together.” Waiting until her younger sibling had pulled out a chair
and sat down, Harmony asked again, “What happened?”
“Cain and I… we…. We had sex tonight.”
Stunned, Harmony blinked. Okay,
she’d been prepared to hear many things, but not that. “O-kay,” she said
carefully. “Is that a good thing or a bad thing? Or the kind of
thing that I need to go find Daddy’s old gun and blow Cain’s nuts off for?”
Laughing at the utter sincerity in her
sister’s words, Faith shook her head. “Definitely not option number
three. I might want to use those nuts again at a future date.”
“Well, that’s something,” Harmony
replied with a tiny grin. “I take it that the sex was good?” She
winked at Faith and wriggled her eyebrows.
Sighing, Faith nodded. “The sex
was amazing, Harm. The sex was
always
amazing with Cain. Sex
was never our problem. It felt like coming home again,” she softly
confided. Hell, her body
still
hummed with satisfaction. “I
just can’t make sense of what it all means.”
“Since Cain’s been your only lover and
none of us were raised to believe that it was okay to fuck for the sake of
fucking, I’d say that there’s a deeper connection there, wouldn’t you?”
Harmony pointed out softly.
“I still love him, Harmony. As
much as I ever did. Hell, probably more,” Faith confessed
unhappily. “I just don’t know how to trust him again. How can I
believe he really loves me… that he never stopped loving me when I don’t
understand why it all fell apart to begin with? Loving someone doesn’t
make them the right person for you, does it? I mean, you loved Tanner
when you married him, and we all thought he loved you in return. Yet, it
didn’t stop him from turning into a raging ass that I still would like to rip
limb from limb for what he put you and Heaven through.”
Holding up a hand, Harmony shook her
head. “You can’t compare Cain to Tanner, Faith. It isn’t fair to
him. Tanner and I had problems long before he finally left. In
hindsight, I don’t think I even knew what love
was
when I married
him. If I had, I wouldn’t have done it. Tanner was a controlling,
manipulative bastard that got off on hurting me. I just saw that part of
his character too late. Does that sound like Cain to you?”
“No,” Faith quietly denied. No
matter what his other faults might be, Cain would cut off his arm before he
physically hurt her.
“No,” Harmony repeated firmly.
“Honey, I’ve never loved like you have. Not my ex-husband. Not
anybody. I never felt that consuming need. I never felt like my
heart would break because he left me. I was too damned busy being
relieved that I didn’t have to live my life in fear. I’m not an example
that you want to follow here. My relationship with Tanner was nothing
like what you have with Cain. It’s like comparing apples and oranges,
baby.”
Blowing out a long breath, Faith
considered what her sister said and knew she was right. “I’m so confused,
Harmony,” she confided shakily. “I feel like I’m playing poker with my
life. I don’t know whether to hold or whether to fold. My heart and
head can’t seem to get on the same page.”
“Have you asked Cain why he broke off
the engagement, Faith?” Harmony asked practically.
For a moment, Faith considered that
simple question, then answered truthfully, “No.”
“Why not?” Harmony asked patiently,
watching her sister’s face flush. “If anybody knows why, it’s him,
honey. In fact, he’s the
only
person that does.”
“I guess I’m afraid to hear the answer,”
Faith admitted, her throat thickening as she spoke. “What if I’m not able
to handle his reasons? What if I hate him for it?”
“I don’t know,” Harmony returned gently.
“But I do think that sometimes wondering is much worse than simply
knowing
.
When our minds wonder, they create all kinds of upsetting scenarios for us to
stew on. When we
know
, we can deal with the truth and move on with
our lives. Once I knew what Tanner really was beneath the shiny exterior,
it was real easy for me to make the decision to end my marriage to him,
Faith. But, I had to know all the facts first. You can’t make a
decision about the rest of your life uninformed,” she pointed out with a gentle
firmness that reminded Faith of their mom.
“I swear, you and Honor can channel our
mother like nobody else on the planet,” Faith said with a small chuckle.
“I
am
a mother now. It’s
easier for me to see where our momma was coming from. As for Honor, I
think Momma just flows out in her naturally.”
“True,” Faith agreed with a heavy
sigh. “Jesus, I don’t know what I’m going to do.”
“I think first you need a good night’s
sleep. Things will seem brighter in the morning. Tomorrow night,
you’ll go to work and face Cain. Hopefully, you two will be able to sort
this out together. It’s almost Thanksgiving, sugar. It
is
a
season for miracles.” Her sibling deserved a miracle. And if her
sister wasn’t brave enough to try and get one on her own, Harmony thought
privately, she’d just help fate arrange to give them a little push in the right
direction.
Smiling wanly, Faith nodded.
“You’re right. All this drama will be waiting here for me in the morning,
won’t it?” Pushing away from the table, she stood. “Thanks for the
pep talk, Harm. I knew I could count on you.”
Rising from her chair and offering Faith
a warm hug. Harmony squeezed her sister tightly. “You were there for me
when I needed somebody. The least I could do was return the favor.”
Nodding, Faith released her sibling and
trudged tiredly toward her bedroom. At least tonight with the memory of
Cain’s touch to hold close, she knew she’d sleep soundly.
