Margaret died between 26 January, 1449, and September, 1456, probably at Thrieve Castle, Galloway, and was buried in the Collegiate Church of Lincluden, Dumfries.

She married firstly George Douglas, 13th Earl of Angus (

1402/5), after 24 May, 1397 (date of dispensation and contract), and had issue:
1 William, Earl of Angus (1398?–1437); he married Margaret (
d
. after 1484), daughter of Sir William Hay of Yester, and had issue.
2 Elizabeth; she married Alexander Forbes, 1st Lord Forbes (
d.
1448), and had issue. She married secondly Sir David Hay of Yester.
Mary married secondly Sir James Kennedy of Dunure (killed 1408) in 1404 (?), and had issue:
3 James, Bishop of Dunkeld and St Andrews (1405/6–1465).
4 Gilbert, Lord Kennedy (1406?–1480?); he married firstly Katherine, daughter of Herbert, 1st Lord Maxwell, and had issue. He married secondly Isabella (

.1484), daughter of Sir Walter Ogilvy of Lintrathen.

In July, 1409, Mary was granted a dispensation to marry Sir William Cunningham (
d
.1413/15), but it is doubtful whether the marriage ever took place. She married thirdly William, 1st Lord Graham of Kincardine (

.1424), on 13 November (?), 1413 (?) (certainly before 15 May, 1416), and had issue:

7 Robert of Strathcarron and Fintry; he married firstly Janet, daughter of Sir Richard Lovel of Ballumbie, and had issue. He married secondly Matilda, daughter of Sir James Scrymgeour of Dudhope, and had issue.

Mary married fourthly Sir William Edmondston of Duntreath in 1425, and had issue, although no details are recorded. She died in

.1458, and was buried in Strathblane Church, Scotland.

She married Sir James Douglas, 1st Lord of Dalkeith (

.1441), before 10 November, 1387, and perhaps as early as 24 March, 1381/2, and had issue:
1 William (1390–1425); he perhaps married Margaret Borthwick, although this is unlikely.
2 James, 2nd Lord of Dalkeith (
d
.1456/8); he married Elizabeth (
d
. after 1456), daughter of James Gifford of Sheriffhall, and had issue, including James, who married Joan, daughter of James I.
3 Henry of Dalkeith (
d
. by 1456); he married Margaret (
d
.1473), daughter of James Douglas, 7th Earl of Douglas, and had issue.
Elizabeth died before 1411.

1 John, Earl of Atholl (1440?–1512); he married firstly Margaret (

.1475), daughter of Archibald Douglas, 5th Earl of Douglas, and had issue. He married secondly Eleanor (

Margaret
She was born around Christmas, 1424. She married Louis, Dauphin of Viennois (afterwards Louis XI, King of France:
d.
1483) on 24 June, 1436, at Tours Cathedral, France, and again on 25 June, 1436, at Rheims Cathedral, France. She died on 16 August, 1445, at Châlons, France, and was buried in Châlons Cathedral. Her remains were later removed to the Church of St Léon, Thouars, France.

Isabella
She married Francis I, Duke of Brittany (
d
.1450), on 30 October, 1442, and had issue:
1 Mary; she married John, Viscount de Rohan.
2 Margaret; she married Francis II, Duke of Brittany, and had issue.
Isabella died in 1494.

Eleanor
She was born on 26 October, 1427. She married Sigismund von Tirol, Archduke of Austria (
d
.1496), around 12/24 February, 1449. She died in 1480.

Joan
A mute, she was born in
c
.1428. She is alleged to have married James Douglas, Earl of Angus (
d.
1446), and she was certainly contracted to him on 18 October, 1440, but there is no evidence to show that the marriage ever took place. She did marry James Douglas, Earl of Morton (
d
.1493), before 15 May, 1459, and had issue:
1 John, Earl of Morton (by 1466–1513); he married Janet (
d.
after 1515), daughter of Patrick Crichton of Cranston-Riddell, and had issue.
2 Janet (
d
. by 1490); she married Patrick Hepburn, 1st Earl of Bothwell (
d
.1508), and had issue.
3 James (
d
. after 1480).
4 Elizabeth (
d
. after 1479).
Joan died after 16 October, 1486, and was buried in Dalkeith Church, Midlothian.

Alexander
He was born on 16 October, 1430, at Holyrood Palace, Edinburgh, the elder of twins. He was Duke of Rothesay from birth. He died in 1430.
