Beautifying Bernadette: A BBW Romantic Comedy (The Jackson Tribe Book 1) (8 page)

He noticed an odd look of sadness cross her face and he gave a little smile. “Let me rephrase that, you
will
do that for me. You will lay still and receive the gift that I have for you in the timing
I
intend, understood?”

Bernie melted into stillness. “Yes, sir. I'd do anything for you right now, Levi.”

Levi smiled proudly and went back to work leaving a trail of kisses down her smooth legs, even the bottoms of her feet. Once he had thoroughly loved her legs, he lifted one of her feet and carefully started kissing her toes, giving each toe a deep suck of his mouth, licking the backs of them.

Unable to move her body out of her deep desire to obey, Bernie could only show her intense pleasure and enjoyment through her vocal cords. She squealed and moaned and shrieked. The sensations mildly tickling and overwhelmingly erotic. She had the fleeting thought,
this is like a blowjob for my feet
, but did not speak for fear he would stop.

When he had thoroughly loved every part of the front of her body, except for the tenderest places that were practically screaming for him, he quickly flipped her over. “I still expect those arms to stay in position, Miss Douglas.”

She obeyed silently, but looked over at him quizzically. Glassy eyed, trusting him completely.

He performed the same loving assault on her back, every space feeling the loss of his lips and a slight chill when he moved on to the next. He smiled as he brushed her ass with his lips, happy to feel the heat still in them, a few slight marks from the spatula the day before. He made sure to kiss each of the marks several times and was rewarded with heavy sighs and moans of happiness from his maiden. He exhibited his own self-control when he mildly nibbled the backs of her knees and he could see every part of her body straining to hold them still. He decided it would be mean to torture her. Today. But he would definitely be making use of that information, and filed it away for a later date. Kissing the soles of her feet once more, he gently flipped her back.

Bernie was fluctuating between every nerve ending in her body screaming for release and feeling like a completely liquid pile of goo. She couldn't even think anymore, just receive. She had never felt so wanted and desired. She did not know it was possible to be this cherished by another human being. Her eyes widened and she gave a sharp intake of air as he finally, finally, lowered his mouth onto her breast.

“Oh, God!” Her body rolled into an intense orgasm with a nip of his teeth on her nipple. She had never experienced an orgasm outside of clitoral stimulation and didn’t even know it was possible, but as it rolled through her, she screamed in ecstasy, no time to ponder or second guess, her body just took control.

As the intensity died down, she looked into his eyes and whispered, “I’m sorry. I don't think I was supposed to do that yet. But… Wow!”

Levi kissed her deeply on the lips and looked right back at her eyes. “That was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen, Miss Douglas, and I wouldn't have changed a thing.”

Giving a devilish smile, he sat back up. “But, I am not done yet.”

He quickly moved to the one part of her anatomy he had left completely devoid of his affections. With one hand giving attention to the breast he had not kissed yet, he lowered his mouth onto her drenched pussy lips and lapped up her sweetness. His tongue shooting in and out of her tender hole so strong in its worth that her body writhed and he did not correct her. Now working both hands over her sensitive peaks, he moved his glorious mouth to her swollen nub.

She felt that it must have been impossible for him to have missed it up until this point because it had never felt so full and exposed in her life. And yet, when he finally gave it the attention it had been screaming for, she knew no one had ever been loved there so fully in all of existence. Between the relentless rolling of her pebbles and his magical tongue, she exploded, screaming, her entire body shaking in the process. The waves of pleasure ran over and over unstopping, seeming, for that moment, that they would never end. When she finally came down enough to breathe, she was shocked to realize there were tears all over her face. She had never cried from an orgasm before. But it felt right. Complete.

She looked at him adoringly and whispered hoarsely, “My shoulders are cramping.”

Levi laughed and gently massaged her shoulders and arms and lowered them to her sides. “You are a good good woman, Bernadette Douglas. I am so proud of you, dear one.” He laid next to her and they enjoyed the silence for a moment and then chuckled. “You'd better get dressed or we are going to be late for church…”

Chapter Nine

They rushed into the sanctuary just as the first song was starting. Bernie, in a red ModCloth sundress and black sweater with wedges, and Levi, having taken a three-minute shower and spritzed “Axe” all over his wrinkled shirt from the day before, both of them felt exhilaration from their morning's activities. Levi sat them in a row of chairs at the back and Bernie just took it all in. She hadn’t been to church in a long time, and that had always been a Catholic mass. This was a lot… livelier with a band and drums. She had never heard of a church with drums. She listened and observed quietly, standing whenever Levi stood and sitting whenever he sat. Although, every time they shifted from one to the other, she had to fight an audible gasp and Levi would smirk. She started to feel a little guilty about their morning activities and wondered if she was even allowed in a church after what Levi had done to her. She was impressed with Judah’s preaching style and was surprised that she actually was able to pay attention and follow along. There were several times she, and many others in the room, laughed out loud. Again, something she had never experienced in a church before.

After church, Levi proudly dragged her around introducing her to people. Everyone seemed to know and love him. It made her a little shy. He knew every person they passed, then she saw someone she knew had to be his dad because he was the spitting image of Levi, only mildly greyer and a little pudgier, but had the same piercing eyes and daunting demeanor. She swallowed and clung to Levi’s arm as he approaching them.

“Hello, son!” Jacob Jackson clapped his son on the shoulder. “And who is this lovely young lady?” He winked at Bernie and she immediately felt more at ease.

Giggling, Bernie reached out her hand. “I’m Bernie Douglas, it’s nice to meet you. I’m guessing you’re Levi’s dad?”

Levi grinned. “Yep, that’s my Pops. Pops, this is my girlfriend, Bernadette.”

Bernie’s tummy felt warm at the use of the word “girlfriend.” She shyly held onto Levi’s arm as his father gave her a warm smile and extended his hand.

“Jacob Jackson, pleasure to meet you. Levi usually dates attractive girls, but I have to say you’re the most beautiful yet.”

She felt like her face was going to match her hair. She shook his hand, but then immediately hid her face in Levi’s shoulder.

Mr. Jackson patted her head paternally. “I’m sorry, sweetheart, I didn’t mean to embarrass you. Sometimes I just put my foot in it. Hey, Maggie! Sweetie, come over and meet this lovely young lady Levi brought today.”

Bernie peeked up and saw the cutest older lady—not even that old, but obviously not young—walking towards them. She had messy curly pure blonde hair, glasses, and was, well, Bernie wasn’t sure how else to describe her… round. She reminded her of Mrs. Potts from
Beauty and the Beast
.

Maggie immediately pulled Bernie into a tight hug, her head coming up to about Bernie’s nose, and then stepped back with her hands on Bernie’s shoulders. “Well, aren’t you just the most adorable little chickadee? Oh, Levi, she is just precious!”

Bernie was starting to feel a little bit like a piece of meat the way both of his parents commented on her, but it made her feel warm and happy as well.

Judah walked up then. “Hey, little bro, is this the sweetie you’ve been gushing over the last few months? You were right, she is beautiful.” He held out his hand to the bright red Bernie “I’m this devilish kid’s loud obnoxious brother, Jude. Thanks for sitting through my sermon.  I always wonder how many people are going to snore or throw tomatoes. It was a good Sunday.”

Bernie giggled as she shook his hand. “It wasn’t
too
boring, and there was a cute baby in front of me, so I had something to distract me from the blather.” She wondered if she had gone too far, but all of the Jacksons laughed and Levi nodded with a grin. “There’s my girl. You’ll fit right in.” So she knew it had been the right response.

Maggie looked at her watch. “Oh dear! We need to go home and get lunch set out. We will meet you all back at the house?”

Everyone nodded, and Levi led Bernie around introducing her to even more of his church family.

As they walked hand in hand into the house, Levi led her to the dining room. There was a massive table covered in food and enough chairs and plates for at least twenty people. Bernie was shocked to see so many place settings at the table; she wondered if they were having other company as well.

Maggie came out wiping her flour covered hands on a cute patchwork apron and pulled Bernie into a dusty hug. “Welcome, child! We are so glad that you could come and share a meal with us. Ginny and I were just finishing up some pies, please come in, you’re welcome to join us.”

Bernie was thrilled and a little nervous that Maggie was so interested in her but she followed her into the kitchen with a slight hesitation. She didn’t want to intrude. She smiled noticing that Ginny was also coated head-to-toe in flour. There appeared to be six pies sitting on the counter. Perfectly spaced crisscrossed dough strips covered the top of each one. Ginny was basting them with egg and then sprinkling sugar across the beautiful lattice work. There was apple, blueberry, and some type of mixed berry pie as well.

Bernie was amazed. “Wow. You guys are impressive! I can make a mean cup of coffee, and decent cookies, but pies that look perfect like that? I could never get that done!” She had a sudden thought and wondered if Levi expected his wife to be domestic.
Wife? Where did that come from?

Maggie gestured to a stool. “Sit down, sit down! Tell us all about yourself! Did you grow up in the area? Your family? What do you do for a job?”

At the same time her mother was talking, Ginny gave a sly smile. “How did you and Levi meet? Has he kissed you yet?”

Bernie thought she should feel overwhelmed at their questions, but instead it made her more relaxed. They made her feel accepted. She leaned into the counter and told them everything they wanted to know. Well, almost everything.

***

Once the pies were in the oven and the timer was set, Maggie handed each of the girls pitchers of iced tea and lemonade and they all walked into the other room to start lunch.

Bernie set her pitchers on the table in an empty spot, and Levi pulled the chair next to him out for her. She noticed that Jacob did the same thing for Maggie. She looked around the table and saw faces she didn’t recognize. After a lengthy prayer thanking God for the food and company, with a special mention of Bernie that made her blush, Jacob finally said “amen” and announced that everyone could dig in. There was pot roast, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, gravy, corn on the cob, rolls, salad, and some type of broccoli rice cheese thing that smelled amazing. Bernie felt really self-conscious and passed each item on without taking any.

Jacob got her attention. “Bernie, let me introduce everyone, you’ve already met Maggie and Ginny of course, then we have Joseph and Benjamin, Reuben, Dan, Caleigh Dan’s lady friend, Jude—of course you met him this morning, then our cherished staff for the week; Deborah, Luke, and Maddy, and the kids—Tyler, Kristen, Laura, Grace, Caleb, and Toni.”

Bernie’s head was spinning with all of the names and faces, so she just smiled shyly and nodded her head. “It’s um, nice to meet you all.”

Levi quietly put a small serving of meat, potatoes, salad, broccoli cheese casserole, and a roll on her plate.

Bernie swallowed and looked at him shaking her head slightly.

He reached under the table and gently squeezed her thigh. Then he leaned over and kissed her cheek, whispering in her ear, “You need to eat, babe. It’s not very much. No one here is judging you. And I’m right here. But, you need to eat.”

Bernie could feel her face blushing and her eyes welling yet again, but she nodded slightly and took an imperceptible nibble of something on her plate. She didn’t even register what it was. She just took in all of the chaos around her. It felt like there were twenty-five conversations going at once, which was pretty impressive considering there was only twenty people. She caught snippets of ribbing over a basketball game, someone commenting that the hot water had run out for their shower again, and something about a horse needing a bath.

But what caught her attention and held it was Toni at the other end of the table. She was a diminutive girl; it was hard to tell with her wearing a baggy hoodie, but she seemed to be maybe twelve. She was very slender and since she was sitting in her chair, Bernie couldn’t tell her height, but she would be shocked if she was even five feet tall. And she looked miserable. Her plate wasn’t empty; Bernie had seen one of the counselors put food on to it. But she just kept moving the food around, never actually putting it into her mouth. She had holes in the edges of the sleeves of her hoody where her thumbs hooked through the sides. She looked like she was trying to melt away. Bernie had seen that before, and her heart broke for the girl. Her counselor side took hold, but she didn’t want to embarrass the girl, so she wasn’t sure how to proceed. Thoughtfully, she ate some more of her food. She decided to try to switch seats with someone else for dessert.

She caught her name being spoken, and realized that Levi’s brothers were all teasing him and asking questions about her. She grinned watching Levi’s face turn red, as he mumbled something incomprehensible, and then shoveled more food in his mouth.

With her chin sticking out and a grin on her face she asked, “What do you want to know? Each person who is curious may ask any one question they want, and I promise to answer honestly.”

Dan piped up first. “Where did you meet?”

“Glitter, that new club downtown. Well, technically we met when I was speeding, and Mr. Lawman over here caught me red handed, or I guess you could say red footed.”

Everyone laughed, and Ginny asked quickly. “Where was your first date?”

Bernie bit her lip and looked shyly at Levi. “I guess technically IHOP? Although this is the first place we have gone other than my apartment since we started, well, since he, um, I…” Now Bernie was blushing and stammering,

Levi squeezed her shoulders and said quickly, “I didn’t want to waste time with random dates. Once she said she was interested in getting to know me, I wanted to show her off to the whole family. But y’all are not permitted to scare her away.”

Dan yelled out with a laugh. “Her apartment, huh? So y’all are already doing sleepovers, huh? The kind where you don’t do much sleeping?”

Bernie felt mortified and hid her face in her hands.

Levi stood up. “Outside! Now. And in case anyone else is curious, yes, we have slept together, meaning sleep, meaning none of anyone’s flippin’ business.”

Dan looked ashamed and stepped outside.

Levi followed him.

Bernie felt bereft. Without him there to protect her, she didn’t know what to do or say. The silence in the room was deafening and she stared at her plate. They could hear Levi’s voice, high in volume and very wordy coming through the open window.

Maggie looked around the table and said gently, “I need to get the pies out of the oven, Bernie, do you think you could assist me?”

Bernie nodded gratefully and followed her into the kitchen.

“Don’t give them any mind, sweetheart, no one here is judging you, this is a safe place and we don’t really care what anyone does in their own homes as long as they are kind and compassionate towards themselves and others.”

She smiled a little. “And, as his mother I shouldn’t say this, but if that boy is anything like his father, and I know he is, then he is going to be hard to resist in or out of the bedroom.”

Bernie blushed, but she laughed as well, Maggie’s words making her feel more at ease. “It’s not that I am scared people will judge me, I just… it’s not something I am used to discussing. Besides his brother is a preacher and this is obviously a religious place and…”

Maggie shook her head and put her hand on Bernie’s arm. “Sweetie, God made us sexual beings and there is no shame in that. I wouldn’t encourage explicit sharing in front of the young ones, but we don’t try to hide anything from them. This includes the pleasure a man and woman can experience when they are committed to each other. And don’t worry, I know you two just started your relationship, but I just have a feeling about you, Bernadette Douglas. You’re gonna be good for my boy.”

With that, she handed Bernie a tray with three of the pies on it, and shoved her lightly towards the dining room.

By this point, Levi and Dan were back in their seats, Dan looking a little meeker, but no worse for the wear. When Bernie set the pies on the table, he gave her a genuine look of remorse and said, “I apologize for speaking out of turn, Bernie. Please forgive me? I’d like it if we could have another chance to get to know each other.”

Bernie gave him a sweet smile. “Of course, Dan, I need to know the kid who can best Mr. Lawman in basketball.”

Everyone laughed and the tension was gone.

After helping Maggie bring out all of the pies and a large gallon tub of vanilla ice cream, Bernie quietly asked Caleb if he’d mind switching seats with her. He appeared more than happy to sit with Levi and she assumed a mild man-crush going on there. Once seated, she smiled and softly spoke under her breath, “Hey, Toni. I’m Bernie, it’s nice to meet you, sweetheart.”
