BOOK 03 OF THE XARA SMITH MYSTERIES

In this adventure Xara Smith the tall, blonde, female, detective goes undercover as a coach of a college women’s basketball team to help the police solve a murder connected to sports gambling in Texas. A good deal of the setting for this adventure is the campus of Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. Our detective solves the crimes while she is also befriending the women athletes and helping to guide them through he NCAA post-season basketball championship tournament.

BOOK 04 OF THE XARA SMITH MYSTERIES

All Xara wants is a few days off, and that is why she and her partner Jill are cruising around in a large rental truck doing some antique shopping. The vacation comes to a quick end when the antique store owner is found murdered. Xara helps the police solve the murder and in a thrilling chase scene she rescues Jill from the killer using a little trick with her car keys. In this episode we first meet Xara’s new girlfriend and they spend a little time in Xara’s new hot-tub.

BOOK 05 OF THE XARA SMITH MYSTERIES

In this adventure Xara Smith, our tall, 30 something, female, detective goes to Arkansas to enjoy her fifteenth high-school reunion. She is hardly in town before the mystery begins. Xara helps a good old boy retired sheriff solve a cold case set of murders that started while Xara was still in high-school and would have culminated at the wedding of one of her classmates except that Xara and the sheriff foil the last crime, and take the unlikely suspect into custody.

BOOK 06 OF THE XARA SMITH MYSTERIES

Private Investigator Xara Smith goes undercover on a movie set. She is hired to protect the producers investment. Her cover is working as the stunt double for the leading lady in a movie that has lots of chase scenes and car crashes. Her good friend Tony Tornado is hired to coordinate the stunts and act as stunt man for the leading man. Lots of action. Interesting cast of characters. Hollywood magic right here in little old Texas.

With Xara Smith’s in the hospital after her car was blown up at the end of book six, her partner and best friend, Jill Stepho, must find out who done it. Follow Jill in her first, and certainly most important, solo investigation. How far will Jill go to get at the truth?

BOOK 08 OF THE XARA SMITH MYSTERIES

David Brand has killed his wife and everybody knows he did it. He has a pretty good alibi though: He was with Xara Smith at the time of the murder. Xara must prove not who done it, rather how this one particular person done it and still had an iron clad alibi. Watch Xara Smith slowly uncover one clue after another and finally prove that the quirky little David Brand did kill his wife, but why did he do it? The answer is in the book.

BOOK 09 OF THE XARA SMITH MYSTERIES

A male doctor meets a young male prostitute at a gay bar and pays him for his service. The next day the young boy is killed by a mob, and a video of his death is posted on the internet. A few days later a young female lesbian is kidnapped by what appears to be the same mob. The doctor hires Xara Smith to investigate the two crimes. Xara confronts her own lifestyle choice as she plods along unraveling clue after clue until the mob members have been found and apprehended.
