“So we need to look for these Ley lines, Nexus points and Ridges? With what? Who can help us?” I asked her for this would be the second part of the clue to crack the ‘Outer’ thingy in the coordinate zone.

“Yes”, replied Monica meekly, “I will get you across to Geri after our meeting”

“So these 69 ridge points where the rifts occur on certain dates, these openings to the earth are the Stargates to Shambala?”asked Goose.

“Bingo! I couldn’t have said it better than that”, said Monica, reaching out to hold Goose’s hand.

“I’ve seen B-grade actors from Hollywood walk in through Stargates in movies, Monica. They’re humans. Coming back to our earlier point, are you sure that humans cross Stargates?” I asked.

“Chief, come to think of it, I’m not so sure about it. I take my words back. Theoretically, yes, it does seem possible for humans to go through these Stargates. You will need to ask someone else about it”, said Monica.

Phew! Another perforated statement. Just because she didn’t know doesn’t mean that we cannot try. A cruel, dry ATM can be a very powerful inspiration. We’d do anything for money. There were 69 Stargates around the world, we just need one to get to Shambala.

Zeroing on the path to Shambala:

“Emperor Ashoka created exactly 84,000 stupas around the world to mark these
Ley Lines
that cross the earth. Of these 84,000 stupas, only 69 of them represent the
Nexus Points
. To reach Shambala, you need to pick out the strongest
‘Ridge Point’
at a certain point in time and space and that is defined based on astral alignments. These 69 Nexus Points are the Stupas that are built on Swastikas. Now you see the connection?” Monica tried to make us understand.

“So our clues are these 69 Swastika-based Stupas? Don’t tell me!” exclaimed Hound as he stood up to dust his butt. Mine was aching too. We’d been sitting here since morning.

“Wait! Not so difficult. I’ve done my homework. You see that the frequency of these 69
rift
openings at ridge-points is determined by the relative strength of the 69
nexus points
, that again is an outcome of the alignment of the celestial bodies across the universe to determine the amount of energy flow across the universe through the Ley Lines. These are only mentioned in the
Akashic records
and obviously cannot be pinpointed and written in the 99 Palms. The scriptures clearly indicate the need for an astrologer to help one determine that. Are you with me?” asked Monica, looking at Hound. She was getting somewhere.

“So this ridge point will connect us to the strongest Ley line like a waterfall to a river and lead us to Shambala? It’s like a universal drainage system?” I asked, for it did seem like the right question to ask then.

She spoke with a twinkle in her eyes, the pride was evident when she said, “Er…yes, you’re spot on, Chief! My Great grandfather discovered the 99 Palms. He researched all 84,000 Stupas to figure out the ones that are Swastika-based. He identified the 69 Nexus Points that connect to Ley lines leading to Shambala that are at least eight to ten feet wide. However, he could never get to the Stargates. The ancient scriptures of 99 Palms say that the
Ley lines
are the nerves of our universe leading to the heart. The heart of the universe is the Lost city of gold, a paradise called Shambala!”

“Go on, gorgeous, we’re getting there!” exclaimed Goose, trying to flatter Monica.

“My father has studied the strength of patterns of these 69 Nexus points to identify that ONE Nexus Point which would lead to the strongest
ridge
formation. You need to get to that ONE Ridge point, you need to identify that Stargate. The ridge could be formed from anywhere between two to three thousand kilometers away from the epicenter of the Nexus Point. He identified that Nexus point as the ancient Buddhist Stupas in Sanchi, the main stupa, where the strongest Nexus Point formation has occurred for the past two hundred years!” Monica said as she tried to catch her breath.

“Wow! Go on, finally, we seem to be getting more specific here! So the ridge point or the Stargate will be a crack in the universe for inter-dimension travel? The place that would cause a tear in our dimension and show us the path to alternative reality? From our dimension to the dimension where we can find the Lost world of Shambala?” Derek asked, completely lost and fascinated by what Monica had told us.

“Yes!Yes!Yes!” exclaimed Monica.

“Oh, God! Don’t stop, woman!” replied Goose and he started laughing.

Zeroing in on the strongest Nexus Point in the India, the Great Sanchi Stupa:

Taking Goose’s hand in hers, Monica spoke softly, “If you extrapolate the historical data around these 69 Nexus Points, the strongest one will always be formed at Sanchi, Madhya Pradesh. If you can crack the secret of the main Stupa at Sanchi, you should be able to point to a water body. Keep the main Stupa of Sanchi at the center of a circle, the perfect rift formation will happen within a radius of 690 Kilometers. That will be your Ridge point, your Stargate. I cannot get more specific than this. It’s not impossible. You’ve got to trust me!”

“Of course, I trust you, we all do. Now we know that Shambala exists at the center of the earth, we know roughly how to get there from somewhere close to Sanchi, which is the strongest Nexus point. All we got to do is find a ridge within a radius of 690 Kilometers, identify a water body that will lead us closer to Shambala. Then we just learn about the Nine Unknown’s secret books, use it against them to thrash the shit out of them, steal their gold and flee from there. OK, how do we get back from Shambala, Monica?” Hound asked as he tried to put together the pieces of the puzzle inside his head.

“Wow! OK! This is where my knowledge ends. When are these 69 ridge points or Stargates at peak strength to carry the four of you through them to Shambala and back? How does the celestial alignment of stars and planets influence the strength of these energy ridges from Ley lines to be the strongest? How does one determine the celestial position of the heavenly bodies like stars and planets to pinpoint the accurate position of maximum strength of a ridge? How much energy you need within to traverse the path to the center of the earth? How does one identify the perfect Ley Line to travel once the celestial alignment has taken place? I don’t know!” replied Monica as she threw her hands in the air, clearly showing her exasperation.

“That’s cool. You’ve helped us enough. We’ll take it from here. But quick question though, who can help us understand the secret of the nine books of the Nine Unknown to help us crack the mystery of the great Sanchi Stupa in Madhya Pradesh? Who can help us with some astrology as well?” asked Hound as he took out his diary to note down names and numbers.

“Only Dr. Geri Traver will be able to help you with the secrets of the Nine Unknown. You need to consult her not only to get these answers, but also to decipher the remaining 50% of the 99 palms that I have not been able to crack”, replied Monika as she got up.

“So the location and time for these rifts to occur will alter reality and shall lead the path to a higher plane, another place, another dimension. And as the scriptures of 99 Palms state, the alignment of the ‘Inner’ (mind and body), ‘Outer’ (the 69 ridges) shall lead us to the ‘alternative’ (Shambala). All this sounds so cool!” I blurted out as I rose, quite pleased with myself for having understood it all.

Dark Secrets of the Nine Unknown Men:

The sun was setting and the evening calm added to the beauty of the ruins of Nalanda. Monica looked stunning as the evening sun kissed her face as we walked towards the parking lot.

“It is written that Emperor Ashoka, out of sheer remorse and transformation post the war of Kalinga, asked his scribes to write down all this in palm scripts. That’s the secret behind the birth of these ancient scriptures known as 99 Palms. There is one map and a few palm leaves, however, which I have not been able to decipher. It shows the way to one of these 69 entrances all across ancient India that leads to Shambala. However, you need to consult Dr. Geri for that. Maybe, she can help. I’ll talk to her tonight”, said Monica as all four of us walked away from the ruins of Nalanda.

“Awesome, so we leave for Sanchi tomorrow early morning to meet Dr. Geri?”  asked Hound, hoping Monica would respond. She didn’t. Goose and Monica dawdled behind us as I walked along with Derek and Hound, the ancient scriptures of 99 Palms in my hands.

“God bless Monica, Goose and she make a nice couple. Lucky bastard!” exclaimed Derek as we walked towards Motormouth.

Waiting for Goose inside Motormouth, I handed over the box containing 99 Palms to Derek who stared it for a long time. Hound was drawing some mind maps. We didn’t speak a word as we saw Goose and Monica talking, holding hands.

As Monica stood in front of Motormouth, Goose walked across to me and said, “You folks carry on. I’ll be spending the night with Monica at the resort. She’s staying in the same resort as we are. Do this for me, folks, I think I’m falling in love with her. I’ll come to your room early morning and we head out”.

Hound smiled and we drove away. They did make a nice couple.

Anyways, we now knew that the Nine Unknown existed, that Shambala was a reality and we had cracked the approach to Shambala with the help of Monica. As we drove, I wondered how everything came together with Emperor Ashoka’s superb vision. The 84,000 stupas that clearly marked out the Ley Lines criss-crossing the earth, the Nexus points that formed the intersection points of these Ley lines, the relevant Stupas with Swastikas that highlighted the 69 Nexus Points which created rifts in our reality, our dimension that were called the Ridge points or Stargates. These 69 Stargates lead to Shambala.

Quite simple, actually, now we needed to get to Sanchi to figure out the secrets hidden in those stone blocks. These secrets would lead us to a place where the rifts in our dimension would occur. We need to crack the secret of Sanchi next to get to the Stargates. The ancient manuscripts of 99 Palms held these secrets. This was sure a fun way of getting rich!

But before that, we needed to know more about the secret society, after all, we were about to steal their gold. We needed to know more about the Nine Unknown to stay alive.

CHAPTER SEVEN

Roses are red and violets are blue,

How advanced are the Nine Unknown, if only we knew;

They dedicated their lives to knowledge, written nine books,

Safely hidden from megalomaniacs, from all thugs & crooks;

They mean well, the Nine Unknown,

When the world needs their help, the path they’ve shown;

They’re neither good nor are they evil,

For such terms are just relative, they’re just driven by will;

They’ve broken all barriers, they’ve opened the mind’s eye,

They’re spiritual folks, once human, they never die;

Knowledge is a vast ocean, we’re just grains of sand,

We’ve been shown the path to the Promised Land;

There’s a reason why they’re a Secret society even today,

In every sphere of progress, the Nine Unknown have a say;

They’ve evolved beyond our imagination, crossed infinity,

While we chase our miniscule dreams, grapple with our reality;

They decide the limits of science, we just do what we’re told.

They are awesome, but we need our share of gold;

But if smiles and Imagination make you say ‘Cheese’

Drive on, for that’s the philosophy of Horn OK Please…

Onward Sanchi:

We headed out to Sanchi early in the morning. It was a bright sunny day and we just had a few hundred kilometers to swallow, piece of cake for Motormouth. Goose was back with us in the morning, grinning from ear to ear. The bird had gotten lucky last night. Surprisingly, he seemed to be in love with Monica so we didn’t push the matter much.

Sanchi is a World Heritage site near Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh and is known for its stupas. It’s a small hick town about sixty-nine kilometers north of Bhopal. The place is filled with Buddhist Monuments. The great Stupa at Sanchi is also the oldest stone structure in India. It is said to house the relics of Lord Buddha. Well, that’s all the information that you get about Sanchi from this book, it is not a travelogue, you see.

“You know, dude, it all seems pretty simple and straight forward to me now. Now that we have the 99 Palms, it doesn’t really seem like a Herculean task to get our asses down to Shambala, beat the shit out of the geeky Nine Unknown, steal their gold, come back to
terra firma
and live like Kings, eh?” said Goose as he looked straight on the road, trying to show us that he was still focused on our treasure hunt.

“It’s not so easy, bro, you forgot one trivial hurdle. We were very clearly told that Shambala is fiercely guarded and protected by the Nine Unknown. They possess Nine secrets, they are the masters of nine sciences. These nine unknown have evolved to a level far beyond human comprehension. In order to be successful in our treasure hunt, we need to know at least a little bit about these nine sciences. Who knows? Our journey may require the application of their own secrets to fight them when we steal their gold. Remember, they are evolved and unlike us, they have no greed!” I replied, taking a swig of Redbull from a chilled can from the cooler.

Hound played around with the stereo from the backseat as he said, “True, knowledge is power. We need the power for we are powerless now. To me it seems that a bit of knowledge of the nine books is necessary to transform ourselves to be successful in this treasure hunt, after all we shall be on a journey to the center of the earth. We also need to survive the journey to the center of the earth and get back safe. Damn the Lost city of gold, I want to be in Shambala now! I want money!”

Derek smiled and replied, “Ah! Paradise. I can imagine what Shambala must be like. All those evolved minds must have created a range of beautiful women with their knowledge. Dude, I want to get laid with a Shambala-chick before we scoot with their gold, I don’t care what you say!”

Laughter filled Motormouth and the rest of the journey was peaceful. The sun was setting as we reached Sanchi and checked into the guesthouse adjoining the Stupas. We’d skipped halting at Bhopal for there was no time to be wasted. Maybe when we have all that gold from Shambala, we’ll buy a few cities or own an island. We didn’t bother to look at the Stupas for Dr. Geri Traver was waiting for us. She had spent six months here and Monica had mentioned that she was on the threshold of a great discovery.

Meeting Dr. Geri Traver in Sanchi:

French, slim and sexy, Dr. Geri had the longest legs known to mankind. Tanned to perfection, the blond astronomer was a divine sight. Her cute lips and perky nose added to her beauty. The falling curls on her forehead made her look ravishing. She had just had a bath, smelled awesomely sexy and looked mind blowing in her pink tee and shorts.

Sensing the obvious tension in the air, Dr. Geri greeted us warmly as she hugged us all and said, “Good, nice to meet you. I’ll wait here in the verandah. Freshen up and come right over, we have loads to discuss.” I had a tough time in letting her go as I held on to her a little longer than necessary.

The Nine Unknown:

Out in no time, we were with Dr. Geri as we settled down on beautiful cane chairs on the verandah. The place was serene and it overlooked a courtyard open to the sky. The sun had set and it was not yet dark as we sipped on our chilled beers. It was refreshing after a long day’s drive.

“Monica told me that you people are bounty hunters looking for the Lost City of gold, Shambala. Well, you don’t look very smart or educated. Monica asked me to educate you all about the gatekeepers of Shambala, the Nine Unknown. You’re aware that you must be ready to face them if you steal their gold, right?”  Monica said as she went about tying her hair into a need bun. Her clean armpits looked awesomely sexy.

“That’s right, ma’am. We’re the filthy scum of the earth who are after the Lost city of Gold. We plan to go to Shambala, steal all their gold and get back to earth. We need to learn to deal with the Nine Unknown”, said Derek betraying his foolish male bravado.

“We’re also here to figure out the mystery of the Sanchi Stupas to identify the closest ridge point that would be our Stargate to Shambala. Did Monica tell you that as well?” interjected Hound for that was equally critical. We had to find the ridge to take us via the Ley line right down to Shambala. We were at the strongest Nexus Point of India now, I felt good about it.

“OK, one thing at a time, first let’s focus on the Nine Unknown for I have an idea for you morons. Since you know, after the Kalinga war, Emperor Ashoka was haunted by his nightmares, filled with remorse. The destruction being so great, around 269 BC, he founded a secret society to conceal scientific knowledge. It is said that he obtained these secrets from Lord Rama’s empire, which was destroyed by the Atlanteans about 15,000 years ago. I have no evidence of this claim, it may be just a legend”, said Geri, looking at Hound straight in the eye.

The cool breeze and the chilled beer seemed to make Geri look more beautiful when she spoke. It was all making sense, slowly we had realized that the pieces of the puzzle were coming together.

“These Nine Unknown men were human beings at that time before they evolved into something else and left the earth and created Shambala, which you now know as the Lost city of gold. Emperor Ashoka’s thoughts were very noble, he wanted to have these Nine Unknown men pursue and document knowledge, hidden from the world and use them for the betterment of mankind. All the gold and precious stones on earth come from there. As Monica would have told you, Shambala is where the wealth of the world lies”, said Geri excitedly as she sensed our obvious interest on the subject.

“So how do these Nine Unknown recruit people on earth into their secret society sitting somewhere, sipping lemonade inside a palace made of gold?” asked Goose, dripping with sarcasm making his dislike for the Nine Unknown evident.

“Right, I get the drift. After they evolved into new beings and went to Shambala, they have been recruiting people on earth, by co-option and kept it a secret. The edict of Emperor Ashoka instructed these Nine Unknown men not to let unqualified and greedy men get access to the knowledge, wealth and wisdom on earth. He did this to prevent another Kalinga war from happening. They communicate via telepathy” winked Geri.

“Tell us more about their organization Structure, Geri, are the Nine Unknown good or evil?” I asked for this was a topic we had been discussing on the road to Sanchi.

“Chief, these Nine Unknown beings are at the top of the food chain. Earlier, they used to be unknown to each other as well. Each of them appointed another Nine Unknown men on earth and none of them know about the existence of the other. The chain is endless. It is a closely guarded secret and is only known to the Nine Unknown at the top. There are cadres and ranks within this Secret Society. While Emperor Ashoka laid down the edicts, it is not known if his benevolence and emotional maturity trickled down to the lowest levels”, replied Geri, as ambiguous and vague any astronomer could be.

“That still doesn’t answer my question, Geri, is it not mentioned in the 99 Palms?” I asked for we needed to know if they would try to kill us or merely hurt us if we stole their gold.

“No, 99 Palms cannot say that for Emperor Ashoka expects them to be good. But there is always the concept of greater good. The Nine Unknown have been in pursuit of pure science and thus highly evolved. They have ruled dynasties, kingdoms and empires and amassed wealth on earth. They are beyond greed. They hoard wealth on earth and keep it here. Shambala is the source of wealth on earth and the Nine Unknown who guard the wealth and wisdom of Shambala have no use for the money on earth. These are kept by their lower ranks and files, who use it for power and control world economies. They know no caste, creed, race nationality or faith so that makes them more…evolved, if I may”, replied Geri.

OK, so there was no answer to it. We didn’t know. We would find out.

King Ashoka’s Gold and the Nine Unknown Men:

“OK, what about their gold? How much treasure is there with this secret society?” asked Derek, getting straight to the point. After all, we were all about the money, honey.

“The stooges of Nine Unknown from Shambala are human beings who are on the path to evolution. Look at the statistics around the production of gold on earth. With so much gold being produced, where does it all go? Why is the consumption of gold so high in India? How come that we find unaccounted wealth under places of worship, hoarded over centuries?” quizzed Geri, trying to get her point across.

“Yeah, how? But isn’t that way too less compared to what we are after, Geri?” said Derek as he went about filling his mug with beer like an expert.

“Dude, you are a moron! If you were to convert all the gold that is possessed by the Secret Society on earth as bricks and lay it end to end, it would probably cover the whole of Sri Lanka. Gold, precious stones and oil comes from under the earth, we know that. But who creates it and puts it here? Isn’t Shambala at the center of the earth?” questioned Geri.

“Really? Now we’re talking! That’s the kind of wealth we want, not the piddly stuff that seems to exist in banks or tucked away in hidden vaults on earth”, said Derek as he looked away, dreaming about the kind of wealth he wanted. When it came to imagination, Derek was God.

Geri smiled and spoke, “If this Secret Society decides to cheapen wealth on earth, they could create an over-abundance of wealth on earth, thereby making all the minerals worthless. What would matter then? Only matters of the mind – the brain, rest all will be futile. They are cerebral beings in Shambala who control the earth to keep sanity alive and not let it plunge back into medieval times. You’re no match for them.”

“Gold, now that’s what I call money. Loads of money!” I let out a low whistle as I let my imagination take control as well.

Geri was amused when she said, “The hiding place of all this gold that is continuously being amassed by the stooges of the Unknown Nine is in a way good. It leads to the circulation of paper or plastic money on earth for the Unknown Nine believe that the use of gold has still not been explored on earth, their properties have never been exploited for pure science! So, they invented paper and plastic money instead. But who invented gold bonds and stocks? And why?”

“Nope. Search me! All we want is gold, honey. Shambala beckons for we seek adventure too”, replied Hound. He spoke for all of us then for we were not just about money, it was the thrill of adventure and the rush of adrenaline that made us do all sorts of crazy things.

Oblivious of our waning interest, Geri said, “Do we even bother to find out the properties of Gold? Gold is gold, it’s not paper money. Have we ever invested in research on gold as a source of pure energy? No! We shall cut down trees, suck out oil from the earth, try to harness energy from the five elements instead. Everything pales when the world would come to know that the amount of energy released from one milligram of gold could power a city the size of Mumbai for a month? Gold was introduced by the Nine Unknown for the pursuit of science, not trade!”

Darkness was setting in as the cool breeze caressed us in the verandah. The flunkey came by to replace the empty bottles of beer and served new ones. We waited for him to leave.

“OK, Geri, what’s the deal with gold? What are you leading us to?” I tried to come straight to the point.

Mildly irritated, Geri spoke with a sense of disgust in her voice, “Good. Let me put it plain and simple. The energy that just 69 Milligrams of gold can generate will exceed the amount of nuclear energy generated from the largest nuclear power plant on earth if it produced energy for a month. Do you understand the magnitude of it all? That’s what Shambala is all about. Do you even have a clue about what you want? A few kilos of gold! That’s it!”

“Well, what’s wrong with that, Geri? Come to the point. What are the Nine Unknown doing right now so we don’t piss them off?” asked Goose, sensing that she wasn’t really coming to the point. Geri wanted to say something but she wasn’t saying it.
