Chapter One

Master Eric, the Dom behind the bar, sometimes thought he was invisible. People talked a lot at the bar, and he heard a lot more than he was meant to. He kept quiet, and people forgot he was there. He saw a lot, too, from his vantage point, but he did not say much and never let people know that he had heard or seen. It was certainly a useful post for the head of security at Prometheus in Chains.

Trouble was brewing now. That Jessica was going to cause trouble if he knew anything, and she’d bear watching.

He’d heard the noise and shouting in the ladies’ locker room and the crash as Jessica erupted through the door and slammed it. That was not a wise move, as Prometheus was in the vestibule and he had heard the racket. He detested upset and said he liked peace and quiet. That did not sit well with Nine Inch Nails’ “Year Zero” being played loudly, but Eric knew what he meant. The club usually ran smoothly, and Prometheus would not have it any other way. The fees were large and the members expected and got a certain high standard of comfort and discretion. Jessica was going to upset that if they were not careful.

It was part of Eric’s job to make sure it did run smoothly, and the reason he had asked to be behind the bar in the first place. He smiled as she was sent down to Torquil. She’d be sorry she slammed
that
door. If he did not mistake her character, that would not put her off. He’d be sympathetic later and see what he could learn. He liked Jane and was pleased to see Angus taking an interest in a sub. Ten years was far too long to be without a permanent arrangement. Now look who’s calling the kettle black, he thought.
Physician, heal thyself.
He needed someone in his life but would not be able to do vanilla any more. He needed a sub and a permanent one, but first he had to get the atmosphere cleared and the club running smoothly again.

Chapter Two

He watched Torquil deliver a chastened Jessica back to the subs’ area and smiled as he saw how gingerly she sat down. Trust Torquil to give her something else to think about. Hopefully it was all over. Almost before the thought formed in his brain he saw Torquil talk to Jane then leave, and then he heard Jessica say something. Then several of them talked at once until Jessica screeched,
“She is old and fat and ugly and she should not be here!” to Angus. Prometheus hauled her off heading for his office and an ultimatum, if he did not mistake his man. Eric knew Prometheus had invested a lot of time and money as well as his hopes and aspirations into the club. And no sub was going to be allowed to jeopardise that. Well, she would have to learn the hard way. He did not hold out much hope, as although she was pale, it looked as if she was going to brazen it out. He saw her stick her head in the air as she went to Prometheus’s Office. She came out a few minutes later in an altogether different mood. Her head was hanging and footsteps dragging as she headed toward the dungeon. Prometheus had put the fear of God into her. He was good at that, and Torquil would finish the job.

He smiled as he saw her brought back a while later, leather harness in place. The vibrator and butt plug would give her something else to think about for a while at least.

Torquil tied her wrists together and, taking her over to the column at the side of the subs’ area, he hoisted her hands above her head and left her to get a spreader bar, to which he attached both feet. Then he left the remotes, for the plug and the vibrator, on a shelf above her head, turned a spotlight on her, wrote something on a slate, and left some things on the shelf.

“I will be back in one hour to release you. Enjoy.” He strode away, and Eric heard him laugh and say he’d not had so much fun in ages. He watched as Doms and Dommes took advantage of the crop and remotes and had some fun of their own. Jessica patently was enjoying it. To judge by her moans, she had not had so much attention in ages. He wondered if this was wise or all just too much and she’d react by getting worse not better. They’d have to wait and see.
