Damon's Challenge (Creek Valley) (10 page)

“Yes, we’ve talked
, and neither of us wants you to leave,” Andy said.

She waited for his response.

“Good, because I had no intention of leaving. This is my home for as long as you’d both have me.” Damon stared into her eyes.

Meredith wanted to say more, to beg for him to stay forever. She couldn’t get the words out. Begging was never in her nature. She was silent and usually
prayed that something would happen.

Dropping her head, she picked up her spoon and started eating once again.
She hoped he never got the chance to leave.

By the end of the week the ranchers were back and working hard to finish everything up for the coming winter. Andy worked his ass off to get finished by six every evening to eat food and spend the evening with his wife and Damon. The other man hadn’t started work on his bike, which he was pleased about. He loved working out in the freezing cold air, but he loved the night times more. Meredith was back in his bed, and Damon had also joined them. The nights were filled with so much promise. He got to watch Damon pleasure Meredith and see her face as they took her.

When she asked to watch him and Damon together, he’d almost lost his mind.
They never hid their kisses or embraces from her. However, they were both cautious around her. Neither of them wanted to scare her off. Their relationship was working. Andy didn’t want to do anything to jeopardize that. What did surprise him was how hot Meredith became while watching them. He’d been so totally into Damon’s touch and the feel of him inside him that he’d not given Meredith much of a thought.

Damon had gripped his face while his cock was in Andy’s ass and turned him to look at their woman. Meredith had been sat on a chair, touching her swollen wet clit. The sigh alone had brought him to orgasm. His semen had coated the whole of the bed sheets. Andy recalled Meredith chuckling.
With Damon around, she’d come more and more out of her shell. She glowed more as well, which he didn’t know was possible.

Both of them would go for long trips to the shops together, coming back with more and more goods.

Before long a month had passed, and Christmas was closing in. The times spent with Meredith and Damon were the best part of his life. Work was simply work whereas home had become a thing of beauty to him. The town knew about their relationship. Gavin, Landon, and Heidi took the time to stop by and offer their congratulations. The whole time Meredith stared at the collar around Heidi’s neck. Since then, Andy had caught Meredith rubbing her bare neck. Damon promised to get the issue resolved. Andy didn’t know what Damon had planned. Either way, he was already shopping around for Christmas presents in his spare time. Over the internet he’d ordered some sensual lingerie for Meredith. With her exploring her wild side he made sure some pieces were more risqué than others. There were bras to cup her breast showing off her nipples, along with crotchless panties. He looked forward to the panties. His imagination was going wild at the thought of what they all could do. Finding presents for Damon was proving to be difficult. He wanted to get the man in his life something special without being too sickly romantic over it. Meredith had already bought their presents, he was sure. His wife loved this time of year more than anything else.

He was also getting involved in the Christmas fair Creek Valley held
because of her. Meredith was preparing some food to take into town for the celebration for when they flicked the switch on the town lights. The snow hadn’t entirely disappeared either. The cold, hard winter they’d been predicted to get was coming true. Every time he walked into the house he scented the sugar and spice of Meredith’s baking.

Waking up on the first day of December he was shocked by the empty bed that greeted him. He always reached out to touch Meredith or Damon. Frowning, Andy sat up listening.

“That’s it, okay, I’ve got you, baby,” Damon said. His voice was soothing. The next sound was Meredith vomiting. He’d heard the sound a couple of times. It was strange, since he hadn’t known she was sick.

Getting out of bed, he headed toward the bathroom they shared. He didn’t bother with a robe. Turing the corner he found Meredith bent over the toilet with Damon stood behind her, holding her hair back. Their woman had on a nightshirt while Damon was naked, displaying his firm, tight ass to him.

Against his better judgment Andy got hard. He cleared his throat, and Damon turned to look at him.

“Great, you’re up. Will you run the bath for me? She’s almost done
, and we can get her in and settled before I go make some tea.” With the other hand he was rubbing her back.

Without a word, Andy ran a bath.

“Is she sick?” Andy asked. “Why didn’t you say anything, baby?”

She grumbled something.

“I’ll talk to you downstairs.” Damon nodded for him to leave.

Confused, Andy wanted to say something but decided against it and headed out of the room. He’d never been kicked out of his own bathroom. Donning a robe, he left the room heading for the kitchen.
He turned on lights as it was still dark. Checking the time he saw it was a little before six.

Minutes later Damon walked into the kitchen going straight for the kettle. “We’re going to need to go into town today.”

“Why? I thought Meredith had got everything, and she kept a regular supply of medicine in the cabinet in the bathroom.” Andy folded his arms. Was Damon trying to leave? Were the supplies to do with his bike?

“We need to get a pregnancy test,” Damon said, facing him.

Andy paused then laughed. “No, we don’t need a pregnancy test. Meredith is fine. She’s not pregnant.” Suddenly, he felt nervous as the possibility of Meredith’s pregnancy stumbled upon him. No, he wouldn’t accept she was pregnant. They were just starting out with Damon. None of them were prepared for a baby. He didn’t want her to be pregnant. What if a baby ruined everything?

He saw the moment Damon lost his temper, seconds before he was pressed up against the wall. “I’ve just been talking to her. I cannot believe your ignorance.
You may be a fucking Switch, but that doesn’t give you a reason to be careless.”

“What the hell?” Andy pushed the other man away. “What the fuck has gotten into you? There is no ignorance. There’s no way Meredith is pregnant.”
The lie came easily, and he hated it. Fear gripped him at the possible change that was about to happen to his life. He wasn’t ready for it and would probably never be ready for it.

He glared at Damon and was worried about his wife.

“You forgot to mention a tiny detail to me, you fuck!” Damon paced the kitchen. His hand ran through his hair, messing up the length.

Andy stayed quiet even though his temper was rising with every passing second.

“Meredith can’t be pregnant,” Andy said. He was totally sure about it. Actually he wasn’t, but he also wasn’t prepared to handle the truth. Not yet.

“No? Then tell me why in over a month we’ve not used a single condom?” Damon asked.

He froze. Andy hadn’t given condoms or protection any thought. Meredith had once suggested going on the pill, but it had affected her mood, which neither of them liked. He’d completely forgotten with the wonderful change that had happened in their relationship. Now she was pregnant, and there was no way he could stop it.

“Fuck!”

“Yeah, my thoughts exactly.” Damon punched the wall. “You know what, console your fucking wife. I’m going to get the test.”

Andy watched him grab the keys and storm out of the kitchen
. The outburst was so unexpected. For several seconds he stayed frozen in the kitchen. He’d caused this by not fucking thinking. Whenever he was with Damon and Meredith all thought left his brain.

Heading upstairs, he found Meredith huddled up in the bath.

“I’m so sorry,” she said, crying.

His anger was not directed at her. Climbing in behind her, not caring about his robe getting wet, he wrapped his arms around her
, trying to soothe her. She relaxed against him. “You’ve got nothing to be sorry about. This was all my fault.”

“Everything was
going so well. How can you not blame me?” she asked.

Cupping her chin, he turned her to face him.
“No matter what happens, Meredith, I’m not leaving.”

“You didn’t want children.”

“I want them. I just wasn’t ready to share you. Now we don’t have a choice.” He kissed her lips before resting his head on top of hers. “I’m a selfish bastard.”

“What if he runs from us?” Meredith asked.

“We’ve got each other.”

“I’m falling for him, Andy. I think I might be in love with him.” She sobbed against his chest.

“Me, too, baby. Me, too.”

His heart broke
, but he couldn’t allow himself to give in to the emotion. Meredith needed him now, and he didn’t have all the answers. Whatever happened now was up to Damon.

A baby changed everything. He threw his jacket into the passenger seat before climbing into the driver’s side. Sliding the key into the ignition he started up the truck, needing the drive to clear his head.

The road was bumpy but free of snow. The snow was piled up on the sides of the road. He’d never been to a more beautiful town before.

Pregnant
.

Shaking his head, he shoved the thoughts aside. Meredith could just have a stomach bug.

Pregnant
.

The thought didn’t fill him with fear. If Meredith was pregnant then he was happy. His problem was how people changed with a baby on the scene.
She could be pregnant with either his or Andy’s baby. He wouldn’t give a shit whose baby it was. Damon knew in his heart he’d love any children who came from Meredith. Slamming his hand on the steering wheel he shouted out a curse.

“Fuck.”

What if Andy got overprotective and no longer wanted to share her? He was in love with her and Andy. Damon couldn’t allow either of them to kick him out. This is why he didn’t settle down.

Wrong, you want to settle down with the right people.

He slowed the truck down as the town came into view. A couple of street lights were aglow, lighting the way to the pharmacy. Parking up in the first available parking spot, he went in the direction of the pharmacy to discover it would be open in ten minutes. He put his jacket on, rubbing his hands together. There was no way he could sit in the truck. He’d be too tempted to simply drive, and he didn’t want to run from this.

Meredith and Andy would need him, he was sure of it.

As he stood waiting he saw Kade Edwards pull up and climb out. The other man looked pale as he stood beside him.

“You waiting for this place to open?” Kade asked.

“Yeah.”

“Holly may be pregnant again.”

He’d noticed the town would talk about everything to anyone. Was he one of the townsfolk now?

“I know you’re with Andy and Meredith. They’re good people
, and I know she’s in need of a Dom,” Kade said.

“Wait, what?
Do all of you people just talk to strangers about everything?” Damon asked. How the fuck did this man know about Meredith’s submissive streak?

Stop the jealousy.

Fuck, he was jealous, more jealous than he’d ever been in his life.

“You’re a local now. Creek Valley has accepted you. You’ve got to treat Andy and Meredith well
, or we’ll kick your ass. We don’t take kindly to someone hurting one of our own.”

“I’ve no intention of hurting them. I love Andy and Meredith. I’m here to get a pregnancy test as well, all right?” Damon lost it shouting at Kade. He noticed a couple more of the locals were also wandering around
who heard him. Cursing, he could have kicked himself for his stupidity.

“Congratulations,” Kade said. The other man slapped him on the back. “You better be a good Dom
, or I’ll kick your ass myself. Never give us a bad name.”

The door to the pharmacy opened up. Damon grabbed the test, paid
, and walked out. He ignored the stares of some of the people. He wasn’t in the mood to be gawked at.

Climbing back into the truck, he removed his jacket and headed back toward the ranch. When he arrived he saw some of the cars parked out front. Some of the ranch hands were already working. Keeping his head down, he walked into the kitchen to find Meredith sat at the table. She was biting her nails with her head bowed.

Damon cursed in his mind. She looked broken, and he knew he’d been the cause. The house was large, but she’d be able to hear him yelling. Dropping the test onto the floor he pulled her into his arms.

She began to sob. He’d read somewhere that women were more emotional when they were pregnant.

“I’m sorry, baby.”

Meredith gripped his jacket, crying. “I didn’t mean to make a mess of everything.”

“Where’s Andy?” he asked.

“He went out. The workers were here
, and he couldn’t stick around. I’m sorry.” Leaning back, he kissed her lips.

“There’s nothing to be sorry about.” He took her hand, leading her upstairs to the bathroom through the main bedroom. Handing her the kit, he sat down on the edge of the bed, waiting.
