The Burning Claw: Book 10, The Grey Wolves Series (46 page)

“Okay people, clear out,” Vasile rumbled. “Get some rest.”

“And by rest you mean getting it on like raccoons on crack, right?” Jen asked as Decebel attempted to push her from the room.

S
incaro picked up the phone, dialed a number, and waited for it to be answered. As soon as someone picked up, he said, “They need a message. Send them one and make it loud and clear.”

“Yes sir,” the voice on the other end said just before the vampire ended the call.

“Skender,” he said coolly. “It’s time for you to make an appearance to your old pack.”

From the Author

Thank you so very much for taking your time and money to read The Burning Claw. I truly appreciate it and hope that you felt everything I felt while I was writing it. This book was a huge challenge but one I very much enjoyed. Thank you for sticking with this series for the past 5 years and making it 10 books in. Hopefully there are many more adventures to go on with our favorite Grey Wolves characters!

God bless! And Happy Reading.

The Lake (The Lake Series, Book 1)

By AnnaLisa Grant

At 17, Layla Weston is already starting over. Having lost both her parents and grandparents, and with nowhere else to go, Layla is moving from Florida to a small town in North Carolina to live with the only family she has left: her estranged uncle and aunt.

The last five years of Layla’s life were spent appeasing her lessthan-loving grandmother, followed by being her grandfather’s caretaker. Growing old before her time, Layla lost her identity. Now she must learn how to allow herself to be the one cared for and loved.

Life takes an unexpected turn when Layla meets Will Meyer. His breathtaking good looks are enough to catch her eye, but his sincerity and passion are everything she needs to find the strength and confidence she lost — and lead her into love.

When tragedy once again strikes Layla’s life, her hope is all but completely crushed. Through it all, Layla learns what it means to truly love and be loved.

'Paper Planes and Other Things We Lost'

by Mindy Hayes and Michele G. Miller

YA Contemporary

On June 18, 1992, Flight 397 crashed off the coast of Long Island. But this story isn’t about the crash. Not completely.

This is a story about two high school seniors living very different lives, who share one connection: they both lost parents on that fateful flight.

Slowly, letters bridge the gap between California and Pennsylvania as Ruby Kaminski and Brett Pratt find a way to remember the past while looking toward the future.

This is a story about hope, paper planes, and the other things they lost.

Jacob, a tinker's apprentice and sometime thief, has lived his entire life in the mountain city of Ancora, protected by the city walls. These towering barriers keep the Deadlands creatures at bay, but the monsters move higher into the peaks every year. More and more, they breach the defenses of the Lowlands while the Highlands rest easy.

A swarm overruns the walls and wreaks utter devastation on the Lowlands. Charles, the old tinker, suspects the attack may not be natural. With help from Jacob's closest friend, Alice, and Samuel, one of the city's elite spider knights, Jacob and Charles will uncover a terrible darkness at the heart of their city.
