Many thanks are due: the first to Phoebe Yeh and Amanda Glickman at HarperCollins. Thank you also to Mark Rifkin and Kathryn Hinds, who did the hard work of correcting my strange version of punctuation. Thank you, Jodie Rhodes, for your incredible representation. Thank you, Jennifer Kaalberg-Freers, for answering my Iowa questions; Dawn Gallo Scarpelli, for helping me with the legal research; Dr. Chris Dutton, for knowing so much about pigs; and Beth Greenwood, for helping me proof early drafts and manage motherhood along with authorship. Thank you, Julie and Lorie, my workshop friends. I could not do without your insights. Thank you, David, Sarah, Ben, Joanne, and Mom and Dad.

Thank you so much, Jeff, Cass, and Zoe, for being patient during my hardworking days and for helping me see one more dream come true.
