Fiery Pursuit (Passionate Pursuits, Book One) (16 page)

“Lars, my love, please come into me. Now. Or if you prefer, let me ride you.”

He knew better than to allow that. He’d go off like a primed gun if she did much more than lie there while he brought her to the crashing climax he wanted. She was dripping wet, but still he sought to draw out the pleasure. He entered her slowly. Watching her face as her eyes widened at his size and then smiling a little and holding still until her body accommodated his cock. She raised her hips and took him, inch by inch, thrashing against him even she clenched him with muscles of her lower body and her tight vagina.

Lars had never felt such ecstasy.

Knowing their marriage was predestined and that she’d not escape him somehow made their joining more poignant and intense than ever before.

He wanted to draw out the rapture and savor to the full this union sealing the knowledge their love and ardor was mutual. They’d been too long without each other. He tried to stroke slowly, but soon found himself pounding into her as she grasped his hips with her legs and urged him on, their thrusts synchronized in a scorching dance of love.

They soared to a climax that left them both limp and shaking.

Lars rolled her on her side, still joined to her.

“My love, my love. Every time you welcome me into your arms it’s better than the last. How do you do it?”

She grinned a roguish grin. “I think the more pertinent question is how do you do it? I never dreamed a man’s instrument—”

Lars stopped with a laugh. “Cock, sweetheart, it’s called a cock.”

She blushed the rosy shade he loved. “Well then, I never dreamed a man’s cock could be so large for so long.”

Lars felt himself starting to swell at her words but knew he mustn’t overexert his newly recovered love. “I think it’s time to go back to Alfheimer, love. Would you like that?”

Her joyous smile gave him answer even before she spoke. “Oh yes, Lars. Although I’ve grown to like it here. Sometime I might even suggest to your mother a few decorating changes to brighten it.”

He wondered if she had any idea how much her answer gave away her acceptance of him and his life. Looking at her slight smile, he realized she did.

“Sophie, you little devil. You’ve become resigned to marrying me, haven’t you?”

Her smile blossomed. “Naturally, Lars. But resigned is hardly the word. I’m ecstatic at the thought. I prefer to be married at Alfheimer, if it’s all right with you.”

He stared, whooped with joy, lifted her and swung her in two huge circles. Then he placed her on her feet but still in his arms and kissed her with a reverent gentleness.

“I’ll have a preacher and a license waiting for us. I want this child you’re carrying to be born at the home she’ll love the best.”

She

“And I thought I was surprising you. Lars, you conniving devil. I’ve missed two periods, but my courses are always irregular, and I’ve only been a little nauseated. Why didn’t you tell me?”

He turned her face up his. “It wasn’t necessary. I wanted you to agree to marry me without my forcing you. I was certain you’d agree sometime, my dearest girl. Love like ours is so rare there is no other answer. But how do you feel? I’d love to go back to bed and celebrate in our own magical way, but I now need to be more careful of you.”

She reached up and captured his lips in a kiss of joy.

“Bedding you? I’ll always be eager for that. I feel more than wonderful right now.”

Still he hesitated. “Sophie, I find I need to know your thinking. I’ve felt you changing your mind lately, but what exactly convinced you? You didn’t even know about the child, or I’d be afraid that was why you decided to marry me. I can’t imagine or face a life without you, my love. But I need to know your thinking so I can be convinced you really love me.”

She smiled the smile of a contented woman.

“When I was able to help your beloved mother I knew I’d been blessed somehow with the ability to make you and others happy. No matter what I need to learn, I can. I can even learn society’s silly rules if it benefits you. My brain is good for something besides mathematics. I’ll always want to pursue my own vocation, but I can do more than that. And I know you’ll let me follow my own path.”

Lars bowed his head against her. “Thank all the powers that be. You can do whatever you desire, my dearest, as long as I come first in your heart. And as long as I can bed you whenever I like.”

Sophie smiled a smile of such exultation Lars shut his eyes against the humbling feeling he could elicit such a reaction from this wonderful girl.

“Oh you will be first in my heart, Lars. Always and forever. But I demand equal rights. Can I bed you as much as I want?”

She stopped and pulled him down to her by his elfish ears.

“But you’d better show me once again how much I mean to you. I think I’ll need a lot of convincing of my own magic if I’m going to marry a handsome and complicated elf.”

Melting against him, she reached for his cock to help persuade him.

With a grin, Lars proceeded to assure her with his body their love was indeed magical. He’d be glad to convince his delightfully amorous wife of their love anytime, day or night.

Preferably both, he thought as he carried her to his bed, burying himself to the hilt in her beautiful body once again and reveling in her ardent response.

There was no magic like that of love.

About the Author

Jean feels she’s very much a Californian although she was born in Ohio. California has been home for a good many years. Life changed drastically for her when she was six and her father died incredibly from an errant golf ball. A dishonest insurance agent forced her sheltered mother to seek work, and she became a teacher. Her hours required Jean to be alone in the house in the afternoon, and since she was forbidden to leave ’til her mother got home, she became an avid reader. The local library supplied most of the books and she early focused on her two main interests, Jane Austen and King Arthur.

Reading is still one of Jean’s favorite activities, although she sometimes has to push it aside to make room for her enduring love of writing. Her journalism degree was used infrequently until recently. Marriage and raising two children pleasantly got in the way. After twenty years of being a real estate broker and with the kids raised, she finally could devote her time to writing, her first love.

Few things in her life have been so satisfying, especially when all her books have a happy ending. Wonderful to make happen. It only gets more interesting when a secondary character demands his very own book. Who would want to deny him? Not Jean!
